Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1291: Chapter 1082: Bahamut in High Spirits

Tiamat paused for a moment, all five of her heads tilting to the right, pondering what kind of divine artifact was emitting this light... It actually allowed that vampire’s final little bat to survive her full-force attack, even after countless clones attempted to flee.

Tiamat looked smugly at her own blockade... Heh heh, who else could break through her formidable defenses!

Didn’t Bahamut just test whether he could sneak in and steal something? If it weren’t completely impossible, he wouldn’t have just walked away!

This vampire is quite capable, huh, one divine artifact after another... Although this means that Tiamat would make a fortune, the cunning Chromatic Dragon Queen also worried a bit—wouldn’t she be embroiled in some big trouble?

Although she always acted arrogantly, there are some folks in Hell that Tiamat wasn’t keen on provoking; otherwise, she wouldn’t have been deposed from her position as Archduke of Afnas in the first layer of Hell by the Lord of Hell, Asmodeus, due to incompetence.

Tiamat didn’t feel she did anything wrong... making a dragon who loves to sleep work diligently and watch others not make mistakes? And they’re all such cunning individuals that a single blink could cause huge trouble?

Most importantly, why should she help the devils resist the demons? She has always been a dragon and will only ever be a dragon, never exhausting herself for the Lord of Hell for the sake of climbing higher, right?

It’s not her fault if she has to do such an important task, but rather the fault of Asmodeus, who insists on making her do it.

Besides, wasn’t it because Asmodeus didn’t want Bayer to come to power that he insisted on placing her there to fight against the Demon Army with her strong combat strength? And when he saw a more powerful Fallen Angel, Zariel, he kicked her out!

Heh heh~

Zariel indeed has the skills and is capable... offending all the Lords of Hell beneath her... whoever wants to earn money has to hand it over to the big boss!

Wasn’t Zariel eventually imprisoned by Bayer?

Click click~ Being a watchdog isn’t that easy, huh? Just wait to see what happens to Bayer, who tries to unite and cooperate with other Dukes of Hell!

Asmodeus will never let him sit that securely!

After completing her daily task of sneering at the former and current Archdukes of Afnas, Tiamat felt a bit clueless about what to do with the tiny bat, which was obviously unconscious and had no strength left to flee... so she hurriedly added a layer of sealing around the Anmur nobility who initially wanted to snatch that crown and let them escape.

Such a hassle! She had to carefully consider which of these guys to keep... this mainly depended on which one had stronger backing.

Letting them all go was not an option; she would be openly mocked by Bahamut in front of all the Dragon Deities!

Tiamat would never let herself lose face in front of the Nine-Faced Dragon God.

Moreover, Tiamat, who lives in Hell yet often collaborates with demons, was also a bit hesitant about letting a vampire with obvious ulterior motives go. After returning, she would be scolded by Asmodeus loud enough for all of Hell to hear, wouldn’t she?

After all, although not a demon, it was a major force from the Abyss!

But thinking of the Necromancy Lord behind the vampire... Tiamat, always entangled with various undead races, was still plunged into indecision.

If it were a simple Demon Lord she offended, so be it, but... ones like this, even if she spared them, Asmodeus probably... would not... go as far as broadcasting it all over Hell, right?

It’s not like she released some Six Fingers type character or anything!

Hesitant and indecisive, Tiamat completely missed why the Platinum Dragon God, who loved to oppose her and habitually delivered her a final strike, walked away so readily.

Because of Terry, his Platinum Dragonkin could always openly appear in Agleya City, and no one would care even if they stayed permanently... so, he seemed to have heard that Shaer’s Ancient Night Temple Chosen had a Fifth Secret Artifact?

The Undead Tribe were merely discussing whether having such a thing could really enable a motley crew to face a regular army head-on, so his Dragon People didn’t pay much attention, only mentioning it as a bit of fun when reporting back to him.

After all, the Platinum Dragonkin were all exceptionally skilled, capable of defeating a whole army head-on with just one squad, and had always been indifferent to this kind of information.

But... before Bahamut left, that gemstone necklace already displayed a black halo... The Gold Dragon King silently flew toward the northeast, pondering: he had seen the black light of the Abyssal Necromancy Lord, but anyone who had really scrutinized it would understand that kind of dark, withering black was nothing like the beautiful black light emitted by Toril’s Lord of the Dark Night.

That kind of profound feeling like the darkest night seemingly had a captivating allure.

Tiamat failing to distinguish even this, well... misfortune was only natural, right?

Click click click~ Bahamut grinned wide, revealing his gleaming silver teeth... though he rarely kept his promise to Tiamat not to lay a single dirty hand, but that fellow, hehe~ she just didn’t have the luck!

Too many misdeeds always bring retribution~ even the Lord of Hell can lose his wife, so what good fortune could Tiamat have?

Ecstatically, the Platinum Dragon God rolled through the sky, creating an absolutely beautiful pattern, as a swarm of Metal Dragons stared open-mouthed in his wake.

Lagging behind, discussing whether to leave Velara Malendith to deal with Terry with the partner flying ahead... This couple gained the ability for long-distance telepathy through Wish Magic, so they could be conversing with each other no matter how far apart they were... Looking up at the sky, Velara Malendith thoughtfully said to Diszedroten in her mind: ”I say, my dear, is our Platinum Dragon God up in the sky drawing goldfinches again?

Did you see what good deeds Bahamut did? Specifically against Tiamat.”

”Nope.” Diszedroten said, puzzled, ”He just peeked at the castle and quickly decided to leave.”

”Well... We’ll beat up Terry next time! Let’s get out of here quickly.” Velara Malendith swiftly made up her mind and accelerated from the tail end of the metal dragon group to the forefront of the golden dragon squad, ”I reckon Tiamat is going to be in trouble, otherwise Bahamut would never leave without doing anything!”

Bahamut, accompanied by the metal dragon squad, withdrew completely within minutes.

Leaving only the Chromatic Dragon Queen, preoccupied and convinced she could quickly grind down the new artifact’s defensive halo.

Arrausato in the courtyard glanced at Klaus flying up to the top floor, a hint of ridicule on his face... Besides him, the only one who could understand why Tiamat chose only male giant dragons to join her was probably this Ancient Red Dragon.

Seems like Klaus is quite eager to join Tiamat’s big family.

Hope he gets his wish and becomes the new glory of the Red Dragons... The White Dragons never had much reputation, nor would any White Dragon that lived for more than a thousand years consider tribal glory worth anything.

As for those under a thousand years old... they’re barely surviving, glory is nonsense!

The Ancient White Dragon leisurely stood up, casually wandering in the courtyard, occasionally rustling through shrubs that seemed to hide small animals, gradually moving towards the outskirts of the castle.

Then Arrausato heard the hoarse roar from the Chromatic Dragon Queen: ”Shaer! Damn it! Put down my divine artifact!”

Hmm... Arrausato quickly realized what happened and, as the surrounding blockade lines were abruptly lifted, he plunged headfirst into the ocean beneath the cliff.

Oh my god!

He was still thinking about it as he sank heavily into the sea, why didn’t he realize that the Goddess of the Night, who seemingly suddenly became obsessed with collecting artifacts, would...?

Knowing full well she had already gotten hold of an Imasca Fifth Secret Artifact?

With Tiamat retracting all this avatar’s divine power... how could she face Shaer, who can virtually appear without limit, and possibly has Celene’s assistance!

Having figured it out, Arrausato swiftly swam towards the seabed.

He didn’t think this avatar of Tiamat could continue to exist, but whether leaving without notice or staying nearby without lending a hand would attract more resentment from the Chromatic Dragon Queen, this worldly-wise Ancient White Dragon understood.

Those Chromatic Dragons already on the castle’s top floor, if they weren’t willing to accompany Tiamat’s avatar in a savage brawl, they’d be doomed, let alone descend to Hell, even becoming a Dragon Lich might become impossible.

Down at the ocean’s depths, Arrausato revealed a peculiar smile: he was specifically referring to Klaus, who was always harassing their own Elvia.

How cunning you are like an Old Dog... Heh, this time you might turn into a dead dog!

The Chromatic Dragon Queen’s outrage, which could radiate to the ocean floor, only made Arrausato more delighted.

Tiamat wasn’t concerned about how many dragons appeared beside her... she knew full well that unless they acted from the beginning, the other Chromatic Dragons wouldn’t accompany her to face direct confrontation with powerful divine power unless coerced.

When she couldn’t help but blurt out those two words, Shaer, those who didn’t think of coming up to kiss her ass and get benefits, if they still hadn’t fled, were all idiots!

Whereas these three who came up early, hoping to gain something... the heads on either side of Tiamat turned coldly to look back... if they dared to run, she would skin them!

In her realm, nobody... could receive benefits without paying any price!

Ambori had already transformed the three heads in the middle into Red Dragon ones... She knew full well how difficult Shaer was to deal with, but how could she retreat without a fight?

This concerned not just three divine artifacts!

Forget about the Goddess of the Night, even if it was another team-up with Celene, Tiamat would definitely fight till the end!

The Chromatic Dragon Queen’s jaw clenched with her five sets of teeth grinding loudly: Damn it, even if it means self-destruction, she couldn’t let Shaer just walk away with the treasure!

How did she even get in?

That black-purple gemstone pendant... couldn’t possibly be a crystallization of Shaer’s divine power, right?
