Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Capítulo 1282: Chapter 1073: The Kingdom of Anmur’s Schemes

‘Qiuqiu’ breathed heavily a few times. Of course, she knew, that Old Dog was already being very polite to her, not even uttering a single curse word… But instead, she was even angrier!

Did she need Snow Old Dog to point out her mistakes so clearly and explicitly?

Sometimes, getting scolded was better than a detailed explanation like this, while also being subtly insulted about one’s intelligence!

Wasn’t he implying in his words that she, Qiuqiu, was the recognized bottom line of intelligence in the Magic Cult?

It would have been better to let Old Dog just curse at her!

‘Qiuqiu’ quietly turned around, stared at the bewildered ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ for a full minute before she felt she could speak without her voice trembling: “Next time something like this happens, stick to your original style, there’s no need to imitate someone else’s gentlemanly demeanor.

The dog’s mouth can’t spit out ivory, and trying to act like an elephant just makes people want to knock out all your dog teeth, understand?”

Watching ‘Qiuqiu’s angry departing figure, ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ tilted his head in confusion, he thought he was really being quite amicable!

You have to know, when he heard ‘Qiuqiu’s words, his first reaction was, “Why is it that your brain only lights up when no one needs it, named Qiu, does your brain really only have a ball left?”

But considering they were live, and she has been with him for so many years, managing his affairs, Mr. ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ used his last bit of reason, to carefully choose his words.

Wasn’t even that acceptable?

He rubbed his head a bit awkwardly… Maybe ‘Qiuqiu’ was more accustomed to his old style?

Should he go back to scolding her in the future?

Even though Snow Old Dog was often clueless in some aspects, he did feel something seemed not quite right at the moment.

Over in Agleya City, however, there was a little commotion… Terry, after an angry roar, soared into the sky, seemingly planning to head straight to the Moonshadow Archipelago.

Hill didn’t think Terry was such a family-loving Golden Dragon, back then he even planned to secretly throw out the Little Golden Dragon… So, it’s likely some relative of his was captured and turned into a Dragon Ball.

It sounds simple, and not even that significant in effect, but to the dragons used as raw material, the complete obliteration of their dragon souls is their eternal wish.

But… how should I put it, back when dragons dominated the Ferun Great Land, other races were mostly eking out an existence under dragon claws, even the strongest elves, without the self-sacrifice of hundreds of thousands in a city to stir up Dragon Madness causing dragons to kill each other, survived with difficulty.

At that time, the hatred of mortals towards dragons drove them to devise all sorts of cruel methods… even now, do the dwarves not still offer the highest celebratory rites to the dragon slayers?

Hill sighed, Terry, who had soared into the clouds, was already blocked by Tasding, and Purwell, who had been hovering nearby, also flew over.

Hill thought for a moment, then simply ordered List to send Terry into the half-plane within the Otherworldly Whale… The hot-blooded Little Golden Dragon needed a cold, hard lesson from his old grandfather.

Knowing there’s a Golden Dragon Ball there, without understanding the control range, this newly adult Little Golden Dragon rushing over is basically delivering himself right to the door, isn’t it?

As for… those Dragon Balls in the Vampire Castle, Hill shook his head… The Chromatic Dragon Queen Tiamat and the King of Good Dragons Bahamut should be stomping mad at AO by now?

But these two have laid out plans all over Ferun, though their divine power is not high, their private networks are more perfect than some powerful divine forces… To return or not return them, that’s a real dilemma!

After all, as far as Hill knows, the Dragon Balls that have appeared over the recent thousands of years were mostly made by mages using regular dragons, and there’s definitely never been such a large number at once.

To have such a grand scenario, there must have been powerful races who battled dragons back then.

And over at the Moonshadow Archipelago, the most likely treasure to be found would be the vanished surface nation of Gnomish Inventors… Inapuras from millennia ago, now the deep Imasca… the War Treasury left behind from those years.

He thought, he’s probably guessed what made the Vampire Castle so strong… the Seven Secret Artifacts of Imasca, their reputation is very well-known.

And these artifacts, regardless of their primary function, all share a fundamental ability in common… a spell defensive power of level 30, and that can be partially stacked… in a key area, the magic defense can directly rise to level 45.

No wonder the attacks of the Undead Tribe all failed.

Although many ants can bite an elephant to death, to bite a mammoth to death, you need way more than several tens of millions of ants.

Seeing the Little Golden Dragon swallowed by the huge whale, and even the Mercury Dragon followed in, Hill felt at ease, then turned to gaze at the Goddess of the Night, who was sitting on a long bench veiled in silken curtains, smiling slightly with narrowed eyes.

Back then, to guard against Amanata making a move on her Ancient Night Temple, Shaer hinted to her Chosen to rob the Imasca Fifth Secret Artifact at the Twin Towers in Anmur.

She didn’t think much of it at the time, just assumed some archmage from Anmur dug up the ruins of Inapuras.

But now, it seems more like the Kingdom of Anmur in pursuit of the Seven Secret Artifacts of Imasca!

The Kingdom of Anmur sent vampires to Snowfall Island, not only leaving a hand behind in the Moonshadow Archipelago, but possibly because they already knew that Inapuras once had a War Treasury hidden there, containing more than one Secret Artifact.

Although there were indeed rumors that collecting the Seven Artifacts would allow for the establishment of a new Gnomish Inventor Empire on the surface, this path, long proven unsuitable for Toril, was not something anyone attempted to walk again.

Even the Deep Imasca Empire, still quite powerful in the Underdark, never truly intended to return to the surface to rebuild the empire, merely shouting slogans… To know the First Secret Artifact was buried along with the empire in the ruins, those mages skilled in using odd devices would have dug it out long ago if they truly wanted it.

Anmur… why suddenly seek this thing? How did they know where these Divine Artifacts, which even the Imasca people could not find, were located?

Wait, Hill suddenly remembered something… Mulan!

The true Mulans had long become citizens of the Kingdom of Anmur, and they were actually slaves plundered from other worlds by the Ancient Imasca Empire!

No wonder, Anmur would send the most foolish Andreju to Mulan as Crown Prince… because he was stupid enough that no matter what he did in Mulan, others would not find it strange.

So, those Mulan people with a long legacy probably had long become the King’s ‘favored guests’, right?

The Anser Divine System, which came to Toril to save its followers… in reality, was the Imel Divine System, they named their avatars in Toril Anser due to descending in Anser… and had waged war with the Mulholland Pantheon worshiped by Imasca for thousands of years.

To counter the powerful Anser Divine System, the Imasca people went mad enough to open Dimensional Gates to the Orc Star System, even bringing over Gewoosh… resulting in the Anser deities and the Mulholland deities, after thousands of years of battle, all dying at the hands of the Orc Deity.

Of course, those dying in Toril were only avatars of the Anser deities, not their true forms from this world, but the Anser Divine System lost interest in Toril and never returned.

Only the true Main God System of Imasca, Mulholland, was completely annihilated.

Are the Anmur people seeking the Imasca Mysteries themselves, or the various Dimensional Gates loaded onto these artifacts?

This could be interesting!

Are they planning to return Toril to a world of godly warfare?

Shaer glanced at Hill: “Don’t worry! AO must have long realized what they’re up to… do you think it strange how my little Shadow Demon Net Crystal suddenly mutated?

And why these suspected Mystra got the Snowdrop Island’s treasure map, even the key?

Bahamut and Tiamat will surely intervene, as the Metal and Chromatic Dragons who died at the hands of the Imasca people back then were their legitimate line subordinates.

Even if it’s to soothe their current subordinates’ minds, even if those two dragons are stingy, they must appear.

After all, it’s just a bit of power; compared to sacrificing gold coins, they’d surely choose to give up some divine power, at least they can still exchange for gold coins, right?”

“That treasure…” Celene suddenly realized.

“In the style of the Gnomish Inventor, there won’t be a shortage of expensive metals and gemstones, and there’s sure to be many High Level golems.” Shaer sneered, “I just wonder, how much of the golems’ raw materials come from those Dragon Balls’ true forms, hey~”

Celene exclaimed in surprise: “Ah! Yes!

A War Treasury with Dragon Balls is sure to have giant dragon golems with dragon bones as the skeleton!

I remember those Ancient Dragon golems indeed had great power, even capable of harming deities!

But for dragons, that seems like a disgrace… After the collapse of the Gnomish Inventor Empire, dragons almost scoured the entire Ferun Great Land to clear out such golems, especially their production lines and informants, leaving no stone unturned.

It was an event that created the first full cooperation of Metal Dragons, Chromatic Dragons, and Gem Dragons!”

Hill thought deeply for a moment: “After dragons are slain, they will certainly be skinned and disassembled, being such excellent materials.

They can tolerate this, but cannot let themselves become raw materials for state-standard weapons?”

“Right~” Lansendel ‘laughed twice, “Dragon slaying has always been a lucrative venture, just that the cost is a bit high.

Dragon slaying can also be termed heroism.

But…” He chuckled meaningfully twice, “Once there are standardized weapons continuously produced, no matter how powerful the dragon, in human eyes, it only becomes raw material.”

Hill suddenly recalled the tragic end of the Gnomish Inventor Empire that traversed countless universes, and the Mulholland Pantheon was even more thoroughly destroyed.

Indeed, whomever it is, once they believe themselves invincible, it’s time for their curtain to fall.
