Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 333: Chapter 132 Prelude to the Elf War

The prelude to war always begins with the Undead Tribe.

In Hill’s Domain, those who were already diligently working on alchemy ingredients and equipment every day had recently gone crazy.

List made some inquiries.

The reactions of the Undead Tribe were still polarized.

Old Cat and others who preferred a more leisurely approach had been busy making handicrafts lately, intending to sell them to newcomers to the game.

The Black Rose was also working hard, but they were stockpiling war supplies.

Marsha had recently sent back a lot of news.

Because the Undead Tribe was engaging in what was called ”ten shifts in reversal.”

Many people were so exhausted that they would fall asleep right in the small square in front of the Lord’s Mansion, only to be awakened by the deafening alarm and then rush back to work.

For the first time, Marsha realized what it meant to work all year round without a break, and she was so worried about Hill’s alchemy machine being worn out that she rushed directly to Hill.

List, always magnanimous, allowed Marsha and Srei to use part of the Magic Tower’s circuit once he confirmed that even if Hill was biased, it wasn’t possible to create a Tower Spirit stronger than him.

This allowed the two Tower Spirits to directly enter the Magic Tower.

They could even take walks in the valley.

But Marsha and Srei were always cautious, never bypassing List to talk back to Hill.

Tower Spirits are always the most rational.

But for Marsha, the most important part of the Lord’s Mansion she was responsible for was probably the alchemy factory.

After all, the control core of the town was still in List’s hands.

She was a bit anxious.

Lately, List had been focusing his attention on gathering intelligence from the Undead Tribe, completely ignoring the anxious Marsha.

So she impulsively took action.

Hill comforted the young lady, noticing List floating speechlessly beside him.

”That’s alchemy equipment that can be used for tens of thousands of years. No matter how the Undead Tribe uses it, it won’t break,” List tried to calmly reassure Marsha, watching as the young lady awkwardly vanished.

”Who exactly did you model Marsha’s personality on?” Hill finally became curious.

While the artistic sense was fine, this flustered and adorable personality didn’t quite seem like a Tower Spirit, nor did it resemble Hill’s idol.

”Marsha herself! She likes art, is a bit careless, healthy and athletic,” List replied.

”Did you set her based on Marsha from those sports fanfics I have?” Hill fell silent for a while before asking in anguish, ”That was those authors’ own twist, Marsha herself was known to have an iron will!”

What does this have to do with Marsha anymore?

The appearance was already an idealized version created by Hill; even William wouldn’t recognize this Marsha.

The personality was completely off as well.

Initially, Hill felt awkward about interacting with Marsha after discovering that List had released his private inclinations.

He really hadn’t expected this outcome.

Hill waved his hand, finally understanding that Tower Spirits, after all, are not real people; their thinking really did closely resemble that of so-called smart brains.

List’s emotions might be rich, but that didn’t change his direct approach when it came to these matters.

He only knew that Hill liked reading those novels, but as a fan, one tends to imbue their idol with various settings; what he truly loved was still the real person herself.

Hill thought those novels made his idol look lovable, and that’s why he liked reading them!

He certainly didn’t want his idol to truly become like that!

He sighed softly, thankful that Srei’s personality wasn’t taken lightly.

Hill could only feel fortunate about this, otherwise, if List had based a Tower Spirit on some hot-blooded manga protagonist, he would be going insane by now.

The man was just like that with his hobbies, and Hill was genuinely worried that one day List would spring another surprise on him.

Hill nervously instructed List, ”If you are ever tasked with awakening another Tower Spirit, make sure to base it on someone with a more meticulous way of handling things, especially those who need to interact with outsiders.”

List nodded in agreement.

Seeing the pained expression on Hill’s face, he couldn’t help but say, ”The Undead Tribe really likes Marsha. Every day, people want to talk with her a bit more.”

Hill glanced at List and kept silent.

Normally adorable and brainless, yet flawless in serious matters, of course, the Undead Tribe enjoyed teasing her.

After all, besides himself and List, no one else knew that she was a character from a game Hill once played.

As long as he ignored this fact, it was fine.

List, seeing that Hill had given up on pursuing the matter with Marsha, earnestly materialized a notebook and flipped through it to report to Hill, ”The saying among the Undead Tribe is that in one week, they will start their expedition. It will take another week to reach the border where the Dwarf and Elf kingdoms meet. They will summon the rest of the Undead Tribe there and establish a Teleportation Array.”

So, their new data patch will officially kick off in two weeks.

The benefit for old players is that they can undertake prelude missions?

”Mr. Adrian’s mammoth ships have all been delivered,” List said, ”It seems the Undead Tribe is still assigning embarkation spots based on a ranking of military achievements. This time, five ships will set off, each with a million spots available.”

”That many?” Hill exclaimed, ”I remember Adrian saying that their built ships could carry 200,000 people together, and that was the limit; people would be squeezed to death. Now, a million?”

Then he realized, William still had a Time-Space big shot he could use!

A ship filled with Space Element, allowing the Space Element Main God to expand more than tenfold, wasn’t something to be surprised about.

It might even be quite comfortable to live in.

Unlike the natives of this world, who were used to occupying a lot of living space, William must be very good at dividing small rooms.

Hill shook his head and instructed List to keep an eye on William’s movements. Since the Undead Tribe’s mobilization order had already been issued, William should have formally declared war on the Elves and Dwarves by now, right?

The day arrived very quickly, even while Adrian was still locked up in Fran’s Magic Tower, painfully learning the refining methods of the Sphere of All Spells!

William, accustomed as he was, once again initiated the mega-screen across all of Saral Country, broadcasting his war declaration live.

He wore a formal attire of black and gold, sitting in the King’s Hall newly renovated by Adrian for him.

Hill scrutinized this round palace, dominated by black, accented with gold, and dotted with lights of various colors.

Adrian truly excelled in this kind of splendid and magnificent style.

Sitting on the throne, William looked particularly imposing.

”For tens of thousands of years, this world has been ruled by invading enemies.

Whether they are Humans or Magical Beasts, including the Moon Elves who have already lost their Main God.

In reality, all live under the control of these invaders.

Even though Humans have their kingdoms and deities, they are still struggling to protect themselves under the military power of Elves and Dwarves.

Humans have covered their ears and eyes for tens of thousands of years, pretending not to know that their fate has never been in their own hands.

But the World Will disagrees.

It does not think that the creatures in its embrace are so weak that they can only live in the palm of their enemies.

The Magical Beasts have already ascended to a Main God among the Starry Sky, and the Moon’s eyes have also turned towards its followers.

The Main God of Humans, whether benevolent, neutral, or evil, also does not want to be suppressed by the deities of other races.

Mages and Magicians, too, are willing to fight to the death for their world.

So, why wait!

In three days, I, the King of Saral, will lead the Undead Tribe’s army straight to the Forest of the Elves and the Dwarf Kingdom!

Let the Elves and the Dwarves tremble before my army!”

Hill watched as William imposingly finished his war declaration and promptly cut off the live mega-screen broadcast.

He sat on the couch, immersed in thought.

William had revealed the existence of Silvermoon, but why?

Did the Lady of the Silvermoon want to summon her followers now?

”His Majesty the King has sent a messenger.” List suddenly appeared.

Did William also want him to participate in the war? Hill blinked in surprise; surely William knew that he, a Nature Warlock, would never attack another country willingly?

Even the World Will wouldn’t actively target Elves and Dwarves, only facilitating the Gods of Time and Space.

The Elves and Dwarves had already integrated closely with this world.

If neither Silvermoon nor the Sun had awakened, and if there were no rise of the Gods of Time and Space, the World Will could only endure the encroachment of these two races.

Since he was at the Lord’s Mansion, Hill told List to invite them up.

It was Spencer again.

Seeing Hill’s surprised look, the Sky Knight couldn’t help but smirk, ”His Majesty the King thought my visit might make you more receptive.”

”What does he mean? What else does he want to do?” Hill could not help but widen his eyes.

”His Majesty the King hopes you can take me to Wolf King Valley.” Spencer didn’t beat around the bush, ”The Silvermoon Wolf God and the Gods of Time and Space have established a short-term alliance. While the Elves and Dwarves are still on this world, the Wolf Tribe is willing to keep an offensive and defensive alliance with Saral.

But He doesn’t want to risk His wolves leaving the valley, so please, His Majesty the King asks someone to go to Wolf King Valley to sign the contract.” Spencer pulled out a long silver rope and held it up with both hands, placing it on Hill’s desk.

Hill couldn’t help but twitch the corner of his mouth, picking up the frayed rope made from the Wolf God’s hair.

A message instantly transmitted to his Mental Sea: ”Hill, trouble you to bring these Humans to Wolf King Valley. Though I’m not very keen, it is the Goddess’s will.

You have the Goddess’s blessing; you should know how to use this thing once you get it, right?”

Hill, resigned, looked at Spencer, ”Do we leave now?”

”If possible, that would be best.” Spencer’s eyes lit up instantly, ”I actually have a lot of things to do, but His Majesty the King, said I was the only one who could do this.”

Hill nodded, Srei’s store Hill couldn’t touch, but he had also made other spaceships.

Spencer then produced a small box: ”This is a gift from His Majesty the King, we are very thankful for your help.”

Hill took the gift without hesitation: Guess William was well aware.

Spencer had brought only Knights, no one likely had a ship.

It was clear they were expecting Hill to take the lead.

This gift probably included the transport fees.
