Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 314: Chapter 117 Silvermoon Sorcerer Abigail

Hill had not anticipated that individuals from the Sorcerer Tower would arrive so quickly.

Had they already reached nearby, simply waiting for the battle outside to end?

Yet the fire of war with the Undead Tribe had not completely dissipated.

Even though it was no longer a group battle, both sides still harbored relentless enemies engaging in scattered skirmishes.

Many spectators still filled the sky, and those daring to continue fighting in front of such a large crowd possessed fairly good skills, certainly not daring to do what Snow Cloud Peak would do.

But amidst such a scene, the Sorcerer Tower’s emissary did not hesitate to enter Hill’s domain.

Did the sorcerers intend to greet this country’s only legendary warlock before formally entering Saral?

Hill secretly speculated as he reached the second floor of the Magic Tower, where List had constructed a hall entirely in accordance with Hill’s aesthetic.

Fresh and natural, the decor predominantly featured green and gold.

Hill truly liked it, the colors transitioning from teal to green, to blue, mixed with touches of gold and orange.

It clearly signified the host’s mastery of laws and yet harmonized beautifully.

Moreover, there was absolutely no feeling of oppression, making every corner of the place feel heartening.

This hall told every guest that they were welcome by the host.

Hill sat contentedly on the main sofa, waiting for his guests.

Upon seeing the female sorceress leading three women and a man come in, Hill knew that these sorcerers entering Saral were indeed related to the followers of the Goddess of Silvermoon.

The moon-white hair and exceptionally beautiful features made her identity crystal clear.

Furthermore, Hill could feel that this female sorceress would soon become legendary.

”Honorable Mr. Polanio, Dilante Mage Tower, under the command of Claudia Valencia, Tower Master, Silvermoon Sorcerer Abigail Valencia sends her greetings,” the female sorceress neatly said, leading her group in a bow.

Hill nodded slightly, then raised his hand to indicate they need not be overly formal.

But, a Silvermoon Sorcerer! Such a title had never been mentioned before; he remembered Valencia, the woman who became legendary a millennium ago.

Born in the country of Greenberg, clearly of Elven Bloodline, yet insisted that she was a succubus sorcerer, Countess Valencia.

Before officially becoming legendary, she had almost single-handedly caused the Noble Church’s Sub Temple in Greenberg to collapse.

Once proclaimed the most beautiful human woman, she, the future mage, daughter of a knight, married a powerful count.

But many were reluctant to marry a knight’s daughter, yet willing to marry a widowed countess.

She and her husband indeed loved each other, but it did not end well.

Unfortunately, those nobles who had killed Count Valencia were indeed killed by her, dying by mutual slaughter. But the archbishop from the Noble Temple who aided them was saved by the Cardinal.

Back then, she was only an archmage, but she was considered to be advancing quite quickly, especially since before the tragedy, she was just a mage apprentice.

The lady with children and servants fled into the wilderness that year; many thought they were undoubtedly doomed. Yet, ten years later, the legendary lady Valencia returned to Greenberg, eliminated the archbishop, and severely wounded the Cardinal who tried to stop her.

The Noble Temple, although not something praiseworthy, would not challenge the traditions set by its own Main God.

Valencia did go to the Sub Temple with evidence, directly challenging under the gaze of the God of Nobility.

But this deity could not allow her to kill his Cardinal! And the Cardinal was only protecting his subordinates after all, with his stature, Valencia’s beauty, however great, wasn’t worth the trouble.

Blocked Valencia could only reluctantly retreat to Dilant.

Initially, when she was chased by the Noble Church into the wilderness, she indeed took her deceased husband’s two children along. It appears that this Miss Abigail is a descendant of those two children.

However, she’s already the Tower Master of Dilant! This Lady Valencia is truly powerful, considering that during the last victory celebration, it wasn’t her but that ancient, more than 10,000 years old Fire Element female sorcerer; Hill remembered she was Dilant’s legendary student.

An unimaginably rapid advancement, not just because the Sorcerer Tower wanted to avoid getting involved in the elves’ war!

And also, Hill blinked, the Silvermoon of a thousand years ago should have been awake, right?

There are many things that newcomers can just see the thread and find the clues to the past.

The chaotically benevolent Goddess of Silvermoon, indeed, might act on behalf of someone like Valencia because Silvermoon Sorcerers are her innate followers.

Hill smiled, ”Please send my regards to Lady Valencia; I have always admired her actions.”

Abigail replied crisply, ”Mr. Polanio is a friend of Silvermoon, which makes him Valencia’s most honored guest. This is a message my great-grandmother insisted I pass on to you.

Although you may already know this. But as the messenger of the Sorcerer Tower, it is best I say it myself.”

The alliance between the Sorcerer Tower and the Mage Association that had lasted for tens of thousands of years was dissolved.

Compared to relying on the Mage Association, the new Tower Master believed that being in control himself was most important.

As for the concerns of the elderly that this might lead to conflict, the Tower Master had already challenged all the legendary warlocks, proving she had the capability to suppress anyone who couldn’t control themselves.

Of course, as a Nature Warlock, His Highness Polanio would not experience such loss of control. The Tower Master also felt there was no need to engage in combat with you. The other Highnesses of the Sorcerer Tower agreed.

But the Sorcerer Tower couldn’t be without an alliance, and the Tower Master thought that Saral Kingdom was more suited, as trusting the Lord of Justice and Fairness, who seldom appears in this world, is preferable to relying on world-alienated mages, or elves and dwarves who had plundered the world’s laws.

Hill listened to Abigail rattling off her spiel breathlessly and almost felt like he couldn’t keep up with his thoughts.

Could the Silvermoon Sorcerers see the truth of the world? He seized on a key point.

This must be a backdoor given by the Goddess of the Silvermoon to her followers; indeed, the Chaos System is whimsical, even if the World Will disallows it, She would still proceed as She wished.

Moreover, the Lord of Justice and Fairness, William, just wanted it and wasn’t fully prepared yet!

You are calling it out so soon!

Even if it was to let Hill know why William could be trusted, it was still a bit too much! Poor William, he himself hadn’t planned on establishing his divinity so soon!

Seeing Hill’s odd expression, Abigail tilted her head for a moment and then exclaimed as if she had realized something, ”Are you worried about the current Lord of Justice noticing? Don’t worry, he hasn’t ignited the Divine Fire yet; he can’t hear us if we don’t say his name.”

”Then why call it out so early? His Majesty the King’s divinity hasn’t been confirmed yet, has it?”

”Justice is definitely there! Otherwise why would their leader steal from others? It’s just a matter of time!” said Abigail, widening her pale blue eyes.

Hill shook his head, not planning to discuss their already established logic with the woman, ”Are you sure you want to join the battle in Saral?”

”Of course!” Abigail grinned broadly, ”Rather than letting the elves and dwarves occupy so many divine positions, we sorcerers should seize more!”

Hill finally understood.

Indeed, before new races were born, these sorcerers, who were very close to the laws, were indeed more likely to become the spokespersons of the laws.

After all, the Water Law initially had two deities of spring water and lake water!

The world has been in ruins for so long, there’s no time to slowly wait for these Innate Deities to emerge on their own.

So it’s really likely that the World Will would recognize these sorcerers’ qualifications.

If these sorcerers could resonate completely with their respective laws, they might indeed succeed in becoming deities.

But it’s difficult, not to mention their internal competition, just gaining recognition from the World Will is very tough.

So their participation in the battle is not just to drive away the dwarves and elves to free up the stolen laws, but also to please the World Will?

Hill nodded, ”Then I wish you success.”

”Isn’t Mr. Polanio planning to participate?” asked Abigail bluntly, almost directly asking Hill if he didn’t want to become a deity.

”For now, I’m more interested in following the path of a mage and explore beyond the starry sky,” Hill thought for a moment and then honestly said, ”Even if I plan to become a deity, it’s not something that will happen for tens of thousands of years, and the laws don’t really conflict with humans.”

Abigail blinked her eyes, ”Is it related to the Wind Series?”

Hill just wouldn’t answer her on that, only smiling without speaking.

Seeing that she couldn’t extract more information from Hill’s side, Abigail pointed to a few sorcerers behind her, ”They are all prepared to join the Saral faction, descendants or students of other legendary warlocks, except for the one from the Fire Element. He said the air in your territory makes him feel suffocated.”

The King of Saral actually allowed us to settle by elemental affiliation. More will come in the future, but only six families for now,” she added, her usually bright smile tinged with bitterness. ”Sorcerers too hope to interact with the society of normal humans. But that’s only us who haven’t suffered; those who truly hate human nations will still stay in Dilante.”

Hill nodded in understanding.

Behind Abigail, a little girl with water-blue hair stepped forward and bowed respectfully, ”Honorable Mr. Polanio, the Water Sorcerer Angelica greets you. My teacher, Lord Alexis, instructed me to express his sincerest thanks to you.

Thank you for finding a way for Water Sorcerers to live normally.

Teacher hopes you understand why he couldn’t come himself.

Ever since learning that spell, he immediately applied for residency from the King of Saral and then buried himself in his laboratory.

Right now, he is working hard on replicating that spell of yours, although it’s just about extracting water from the human body, understanding the composition of water in the human body is necessary!

My teacher hopes to find a pattern to make this spell accessible to Water Sorcerers of any level.

He also hopes that this spell can be recognized by the Water Law and made available to Water Sorcerers at the time of their awakening,” she said.

Hill was genuinely startled; when had Alexis become such a good person?
