Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 311: Chapter 114: The Path of Killing is Actually Quite Easy

Hill raised his eyes to look at the Magisters standing below, his expression stern and cold.

With a disdainful glance, he implied to them, ”Enough of this nonsense, let’s get straight to the point!”

”His Highness Gillenskjaern believes that you shouldn’t be hostile towards the Elven Bloodline within your own body,” Terry said staunchly. ”Compared to a human king, the Forest of the Elves can offer you much more benefits. Even if you think the beastly bloodline within you is too overpowering, the Forest of the Elves is still wholly capable...”

Hill sighed and abruptly extended a finger, completely drawing out all the water from Terry’s body.

Without even blinking, Hill gently blew a gust of wind, scattering Terry’s ashes directly onto the remaining few people.

”Anything else?” Hill smiled. ”Can you leave now?”

”Magister Terry was a student of his Highness Gillenskjaern. Your highness Polanio, this is too much!” A magister stepped forward, about to state his name, ”I am...”

Hill simply waved his hand, sending him and his friend Terry to a place, having no intention of hearing his name.

The two magisters, now covered with the ashes of their companions, finally could not stand it any longer. Soon, the only female magister asked Hill with a trembling voice if, since they were only accompanying personnel with no intention of offending a legend, and since the Mage Association’s gift was still in Terry’s ring, their mission could be considered complete?

Could they leave now?

Hill looked indifferently at the two magisters, their faces etched with panic, seemingly having never contemplated such a manner of death, not wanting to further anger Hill.

Seeing Hill eventually nodding, allowing the two to leave,

they quickly bowed to Hill and left without looking back.

”Sir,” List asked, ”was the second one about to mention another legendary name? Why didn’t you listen?”

”All I need to know is which legends among the half-elves are from the Mage Association. Why should I listen to an annoying name? Should I really give them so much face?” Hill said indifferently, slightly closing his eyes. ”The information from my maternal grandfather’s side will also be delivered soon. Receive it.”

”Yes, sir,” List hesitated, then asked, ”Shall I prepare your bath water?”

Hill silently nodded.

”I will remodel this place,” Marsha spoke up. ”This ring?”

Hill nodded his permission; he indeed did not want to see this room again.

Such a method of killing was indeed shocking, but a bit too revolting.

He should never have trusted those damned animes.

”There won’t be anything in it,” Hill said coldly. ”Throw it in the warehouse!”

”What about the undead outside?” List hesitated, standing by the window, watching the two magisters who had just taken flight above the town and were nearly killed, flying away in a disgraceful retreat. ”Should I tell them to end it?”

”Tell them they can end it anytime. But if they still want to fight, the protection mission won’t be called off,” Hill said succinctly. ”I’m going to seclude myself to review the information. Once they’re done, they can go to the valley to collect rabbits.”

”And the task chain?”

”Just make a 200-series task chain,” Hill thought it better to set the threshold high.

The idea of entering a pet park where one could find a Magical Beast companion at any time wouldn’t be so easy.

Hill did not need their admission fee; let them toil!

Toiling is the fairest method, isn’t it?

Hill quickly returned to his room, rushed into the bathroom; he needed to calm down a bit.

What could have been a moment of hesitation about killing someone, due to an inappropriate method that was too disgusting, actually suppressed the feeling of murder.

Hill didn’t know whether his discomfort was because he had killed someone or because the method of death was too revolting.

But at that moment, all his willpower had been focused on controlling himself not to vomit, leaving no room for any other feelings.

He stayed in the bathroom until his mood truly calmed down.

Only then did Hill slowly stand up, put on his robe, took the documents sent by the Mage Association, returned to his bed, and prepared to read for a while.

With his current mood, it was better not to sleep. Having nightmares wasn’t an issue, but to disgust himself in dreams would be too miserable.

Hill glanced at the introduction of several Elder Councilors in the Mage Association and gently tossed it aside.

There were three Legendary Laws named after Elf names.

In that era when the kingdom was established with the Elves’ help, human surnames were quite long.

Like Dionysio.

But their endings could be subtly different, with some peculiar names clearly styled after the Forest of the Elves.

Hill carefully read the introductions of these legends.

Very detailed, as if the person preparing the documents knew exactly what Hill wanted to see.

Hill sneered slightly—was this an internal strife within the Mage Association, using him as a pawn?

Of these three legends, except for Gillenskjaern, who was already old, the other two were rarely in the Mage Association.

They preferred to explore other directions through the Elemental Realm.

But still, they would appear every few decades.

These two legends were still youngsters considering the lifespan of a Half-Elf Legend.

They hadn’t yet planned to fully enter the Elemental Realm and were leaving this world without looking back.

Of course, it might also be because the support of the Elf Deity System was behind them.

Hill noticed that the person writing the records had indicated behind Gillenskjaern’s name: most likely to become the first God of Half-Elves.

For a Divine Position, which was not merely a Subordinate God, it was indeed shameful enough for a legend nearing death.

Moreover, compared to the Lord of the Moon Elves, if Hill really wanted to become a member of the Elf Deity System, this was indeed easier to obtain.

As long as Hill wanted it, the Elven God King would definitely give it.

Although they knew Hill had just become a legend and wouldn’t choose such a Divine Position, they also wanted, like that Moon Elf, to sever even a trace of Hill’s thoughts in advance.

But without the support of the Moon Elves behind him, he wouldn’t dare to leap so gleefully on his own.

Hill also saw the introduction to this legend’s Laws, only two categories: Fire and Gold.

Actually, they weren’t much stronger than Miller and his companions, right?

Had this legend seen the scene beyond the Starry Sky?

If they had, like the other two elves with more than three Elements, they should be frequently finding their way in the Elemental Realm and the Starry Sky, right?

A position like God of Half-Elves, if this world really collapsed, he might not be able to escape.

Hill picked up the introductions of the other Legendary Laws.

Indeed, it was clearly marked that among the councilors on the human side, all were legendaries of more than three Elements.

And this Gillenskjaern legend was specifically noted as an elder figure from the founding period.

Other legends from that period were still alive, but they were no longer staying in this world.

The language used was very respectful, speaking highly of respecting the founding elders, but in reality, to those who know the truth in the Starry Sky, it was only ironic.

Hill threw away the documents he was holding and leaned back on the bed, frustrated.

The meaning of the Mage Association was very clear, we don’t deal with this person’s matters.

After all, he couldn’t do anything significant, nor could he even influence the legendary mages of the Mage Association and the Forest of the Elves to be enemies.

But for the elders of the Mage Association to oppose a newly risen legend like Hill and a founding elder, they also felt it wasn’t necessary.

However, Hill had better not hold a grudge against the entire Mage Association, his strength was not enough to be an enemy of the entire Association.

Hill looked at those names of legendary elders marked specifically with more than four Elements of Laws and deeply felt the arrogance of the Mage Association.

He scoffed coldly, indeed, it was difficult for an individual to fight against an organization. Hill wouldn’t be arrogant enough to place himself in a position to confront the entire Mage Association.

But he wasn’t going to take the bait either.

This snub from Gillenskjaern didn’t bother Hill.

Without planning to get involved in the messes of the Forest of the Elves, Hill wouldn’t impulsively run off to challenge this short-sighted fool.

Clearly, the instigator was from the Moon Elves of the Forest of the Elves. Gillenskjaern, no matter what, was a legend who had lived for many years; if he wasn’t convinced that the Moon Elf who approached him truly had a chance to become the Lord of the Moon Elves, he wouldn’t have been so eager to offend Hill so severely.

”Beast blood...” Hill fiercely squeezed these words through his clenched teeth.

In the future, he would let this Gillenskjaern understand what bear strength means, what nature’s blessing means.

But he definitely wouldn’t do as the Mage Association’s dossier provider wished, simply entering the Mage Association and clashing with Gillenskjaern.

Showing the strength of the Mage Association and writing clearly about Gillenskjaern’s weakness, if Hill were a bit simpler-minded, he might think that the best choice was to join the Association and confront Gillenskjaern directly.

Unfortunately, such a plot like the Proud Sky plotline, where one joins the strongest forces to confront their enemy head-on just because the enemy is the most powerful, has been outdated for a long time.

Hill slightly curled his lips and reached out to the Law of Wind.

Unless Gillenskjaern hid in a place without wind in the future, Hill would find him alone sooner or later.

If he really became the God of Half-Elves before the Elf War, that would be even better.

Hill quirked his lips, what was that saying again? ”In the name of the Moon, I will punish you?”

So Fran was right, the Mage Association organizing these matters, these elders all tacitly agreed.

But it’s not just because they favored their association’s usual legendary actions, but also because it could prompt some hot-headed legends to angrily go and work for the Mage Association.

Engaged in struggles for power and profit for too long, how many still have the heart to venture into the Starry Sky?

Thus, there are no good people in the Mage Association, that’s the truth.

If Hill were really foolish enough to go to the Mage Association, he might even drag Fran down with him!

Compared to Hill, who mastered four Elements of Laws, who knows how many Laws Fran, who was the Mage Association’s biggest competitor, had mastered.

These methods were more subtle; against someone as experienced as the old mage Fran, they wouldn’t use them, knowing they would have no effect.

Thus, the future would be peaceful for Fran Legend.
