Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 308: Chapter 111: Snow Cloud Peak Desperately Fighting for the Rabbit

Hill finally remembered something. Last time, the Undead Tribe had discussed that people from other countries were also coming to this world.

Hill could often see a familiar feeling in these Undead Tribesmen.

Even in different worlds, this racial characteristic of consistency in facing outsiders seemed unchanged.

Perhaps in reality, they would consider interest-related matters, but in the game, it’s unlikely they would let people from other countries dominate over their own country’s players!

So, could the fight between their two alliances be postponed until they confront the other countries’ faction alliances?

Old Cat’s wealthy friend might have bought the End of the World Alliance just for the sake of battling with foreign players.

No matter how bad the reputation, the alliance was indeed numerous and powerful; it wouldn’t be sold cheaply.

Snow Cloud Peak was also well aware of this.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t have immediately denied Hill’s request. If he truly wanted to engage the End of the World in a three-day and three-night battle, he certainly could think of some sufficiently harmful and sneaky tactics instantly.

He just didn’t want to do so.

It seemed that Snow Cloud Peak already had the idea of a ceasefire.

On the other hand, the boss from the opposite side had first tested the waters to see if he could completely scatter Snow Cloud Peak’s alliance and, after finding it impossible, he made the decision to cease and negotiate, even throwing such a high-ranking spy into the mix.

Snow Cloud Peak arrived promptly.

Hill waited for him on the third floor of the Lord’s Mansion.

Marsha had already set up a luxurious reception hall, which starkly contrasted with the efficient style of the lower floors facing the Undead Tribe.

Curious, Snow Cloud Peak glanced at the magnificent hall a few times and was very candid with Hill.

”The Elf War has already started warming up on our side. Many people from other countries are curious about the elves. Since the video of the Goddess of the Hunt vanishing appeared, those people have nearly gone mad,” Snow Cloud Peak paused, ”Originally, William only planned to open a new instance, but it got so out of hand that he decided to let some people in first.”

”So, when was His Majesty the King originally planning to let them enter this world?” Hill asked.

”Before the Elf War started,” Snow Cloud Peak said, ”Now, it’s just a small part at first, depending on those people’s luck. When it gets to the Forest of the Elves, that’s when they’ll fully let people in.”

Hill sighed. William was really ruthless!

The Forest of the Elves’ demand for Element was several times that of the human side.

It would be enough to drain and cause the elves, who had been comfortable for hundreds of thousands of years, to suffocate in pain.

If it had been earlier, Hill might have worried about whether William could manage it, since summoning such an act had to go through the God of Time and Space via Starry Sky.

The Elven God King would not allow the God of Time and Space to summon with ease, and even though the God of Time and Space could not lose, summoning millions of Undead would not be that easy.

But now, Hill thought of the indecipherably golden Sun and the silver Moon, skilled with Illusion Technique.

The scars on the Sun were invisible, and it was hard to tell whether the scars on the Moon were real or fake.

They might have still been recovering from injuries a few years ago, but by the time the God of Time and Space summoned the Undead, they should have fully recovered.

Perhaps that day would be the right time for the Sun and Silvermoon to appear?

Snow Cloud Peak continued, ”This new boss of the End of the World is quite wealthy. He thought about buying us out but then realized our alliance is a true confederation, not the kind like the End of the World, led by one boss with many subordinates.

To buy them, taking over the End of the World’s family was almost sufficient to call the shots. But for us, he’d have to acquire at least five families, including the Wenjian, which is an impossible task. Even if he offered a lot of money, the largest group in Wenjian would immediately run away.”

Snow Cloud Peak smiled sheepishly, ”Plus, I couldn’t possibly stay there under his command. It’s one thing to take money to help someone lead occasionally. But signing a contract to completely become someone else’s subordinate, I can’t do that.

Also, I’m quite well-known for my temper. Basically, any boss who buys us out will eventually choose to dispose of me after smoothing things out. I also don’t have the heart to simply be someone’s fall guy.”

Hill listened with pleasure.

How many times had Snow Old Dog grappled with bosses to mold himself to what he is today!

Apparently, it seemed that some bosses who had tried to buy him out and used the tactic of kicking people out of the game had all been turned around by him. Otherwise, he wouldn’t mention that he was quite well-known.

Therefore, the contract offered by any boss wanting to employ him would be even more stringent, and Snow Cloud Peak would be even less likely to sign.

He cleverly maintained the current loose alliance, besides the offensive and defensive pact; there were no financial ties between the families, all held together solely by Snow Cloud Peak’s tactics.

This alliance, under any other leader who lacked Snow Cloud Peak’s commanding respect, would naturally collapse.

Now, Hill somewhat understood why Snow Cloud Peak insisted on having the student family of Youth Journey of the Wenjian World join the alliance—it was a family that even the wealthiest boss couldn’t acquire.

If someone really dared to use some tactics against it, they would be going up against all the major academia.

Bosses who come into the game to acquire families are actually just wealthy people looking to enjoy the game.

It’s not like in the novels where big companies don’t do legitimate business and just play games.

At most, some company products are aimed at these gamers, and they buy the rights to a powerful family’s name.

That still requires someone like William, who fundamentally does not collect advertising fees.

Wealthy people, since they seek enjoyment, won’t spend their days in the game engaged in cutthroat schemes.

”If he had that much energy, why wouldn’t he just earn more money in the real world!”

Therefore, faced with alliances like Snow Cloud Peak, those bosses all backed off on their own.

Hill felt it was good. If this was a game Hill could also play, he would be willing to join an alliance family like Snow Cloud Peak.

Playing games that still feel like going to work, what’s the point?

But Hill knew that, no matter what kind of world it was, there were many who wanted freedom, but even more who wanted to make money.

Playing games with a rich kid’s money, that was even better. Wasn’t it just chopping at whomever the rich kid wanted him to chop before, but now having to chop those the rich kid wanted? People who liked causing trouble didn’t really care.

”That person said, the original clan leader of the End of the World, would no longer appear in this world,” Hill found this strange.

”Of course!” Snow Old Dog said expertly, ”Otherwise the bosses could only buy the name of a family, right? He comes back after a while, greets everyone anew, wouldn’t all the people originally with him have run off? Nowadays, every boss would demand that after they buy a family, they must completely leave.”

Hill almost laughed. That expert tone, you were the one scamming those bosses, weren’t you?

”Since you have no objections, then go and discuss it,” Hill finally said, ”The guarding mission will not be canceled for now.”

”What about the colorful rabbits?” Snow Cloud Peak pressed, ”If possible, they will definitely try very hard for several days and nights, not slacking off!”

”They’re just mid-level rabbits. Why do you want them so much?”

”If everyone could get one, the cohesion would be better,” Snow Cloud Peak said. ”Our alliance is quite loose, but having a unique yet uniform pet can improve everyone’s spirit.”

”There might be a national war later, we need to do something to make everyone more harmonious.

Since everyone can have one, even those from the Wenjian who want sea monsters will come looking for one.

When playing together, everyone carrying their own unique rabbit, with different colors but the same species, will make everyone feel like one big family.”

”Will the people on the other side cooperate with you for so long?”

”With money, anything can be solved,” Snow Cloud Peak grumbled. ”No matter how nice I put it, it’s just that they haven’t offered enough money yet. Our family, too, isn’t willing to spend that much. If the money is right, everything is negotiable.”

Hill listened helplessly to these blunt truths, Snow Cloud Peak really was fighting hard for the rabbits.

”Okay. Once this matter is settled, you can arrange for people to go to the valley and get rabbits.”

Snow Cloud Peak was very happy and was about to leave when Hill called out to him, ”Although I said that everyone could choose a rabbit to take with them, if a rabbit really doesn’t want to follow someone, then there’s nothing I can do. I won’t force any magical beasts.”

Snow Cloud Peak said bluntly, ”That’s no problem. If you are black, you can’t blame others for being white.”

Snow Cloud Peak cheerfully left.

Hill thought about it, and decided to float into the valley himself, to notify these beautiful little rabbits.

He found a colorful rabbit and asked it to notify the clan leader.

The rabbit’s eyes widened in surprise, and then it immediately jumped frantically into the bushes.

They must have also been prepared; no one can afford to keep tens of thousands of rabbits.

Soon, a giant silver rabbit appeared in front of Hill.

Hill was really surprised; this was a rabbit from the Silvermoon System.

Hill had noticed long ago that the colors of the rabbits were related to their systems.

Perhaps because the gaze of the gods seldom fell on these rabbits, their elements were quite mixed.

But such a rabbit, radiating soft moonlight silver, Hill had really only seen this one.

Spirit system awakening, huh?

No wonder it became the clan leader.

The rabbit clan leader bowed respectfully to Hill and then lay down in front of him, waiting for his judgment.

When it heard Hill’s explanation, the rabbit’s ears perked up.

It excitedly questioned, ”The Undead, they really plan to sign contracts with us mid-level rabbits?”

”You are beautiful and cute,” Hill said honestly. ”They don’t expect you to fight, they just think you look good and want to keep you as pets.”

The Silver Rabbit Clan Leader fell silent for a moment, then revitalized.

Hill didn’t drive them out of the valley but found a better solution, a very fortunate one for the rabbits.

”We are very willing,” he stood up and bowed, ”Thank you, Mr. Hill, for your kindness.”

”You can also choose the Undead you like,” Hill said earnestly, ”If there’s an Undead that no rabbit takes a liking to, you don’t have to forcibly send one out.

You can also choose the same Undead together, and let her pick one from among you. Don’t be mad if it fails.”

The big silver rabbit bowed very devoutly to Hill again before hopping back into the forest.

They needed to have a meeting.
