Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 315: Chapter 118 The Water Element Does Have a Law God!

Why Alexis did this, Hill understood very well.

But the first thing he thought of was something else: the people in this world probably didn’t understand what it meant that the majority of a person’s body weight is water.

But Hill had no doubt about this at all.

Considering that he didn’t want to make his territory a bloody mess, Hill almost instinctively communicated with the water law; the law quickly satisfied him. It was simple, wasn’t it?

However, for the suppressed Water Sorcerers, if this spell could be stabilized, it would indeed be significant.

As long as this spell rule was understood, they would have the same ability to perish together as the Fire Element Warlocks.

”Spreading so fast?” Hill was a little surprised.

”While I was guarding outside, I heard the words of those two fleeing Magisters. After carefully questioning those two, I flew back to Kexlote to inform my teacher,” Angelica said quickly. ”The teacher found this spell very practical and hidden. It was very suitable for Water Sorcerers. But you seemed to only use it without understanding the specific rules, so he didn’t plan to research it with you.”

Hill blinked and looked at Abigail, who had a face that said ”What are you talking about! Are you stupid?” and couldn’t help but shake his head and smile: ”No problem, I don’t really understand it. My water spells are aided by the law, not by me seeking the law, so I indeed don’t understand the specifics of spell rules.”

He looked happily at the few Magicians standing dumbstruck behind, their faces showing jealousy towards the luck of the European Emperor, finally venting a bit.

He knew that this Alexis Water Legend was the most typical of men who had been played.

How to say, there were always a few men who were full of confidence, thinking that all women fell in love with them as a matter of course.

In his heyday, Alexis had dozens of lovers, all beautiful daughters of nobles, who loved him to death.

His days were originally very joyful, his advancement speed a bit slow, but it wasn’t that he made no progress at all.

Unfortunately, a family found this Water Sorcerer to be exceptional.

His children, even if they were not Sorcerers, mostly had magic talents.

Even if they had no magic talents at all, they could basically become Knights.

Seeing that he was about to become a Magister-level Sorcerer, they couldn’t miss the opportunity to make him their family’s exclusive use, and so, the family made their move.

Alexis naturally struggled but those noble daughters who once loved him deeply all disappeared simultaneously.

Not a single one came forward to help him.

In the past, Alexis simply didn’t understand the pain of female Sorcerers, nor did he have the desire to help others.

But after being captured for decades, he broke through and became a legend. He suddenly started rescuing female Sorcerers forced by nobles everywhere for more than 100 years.

Although no one knows what exactly happened back then, from the way he behaved, it was clear.

After all, he had turned from a romantic into someone clean-hearted.

And he was very reluctant to interact with outsiders.

He spoke very rigidly, fearing someone might want to befriend him.

The most crucial point was that he particularly disliked male Sorcerers who stayed flawless and had never erred, and then despised those who fancied themselves as romantic with children everywhere.

He was, instead, more favorable towards female Sorcerers.

Therefore, unlike another legendary Sorcerer who liked to accept male students, his students were all girls.

Once they reached the Magister stage, he would send them to Dilante.

He always had a bad attitude towards male Sorcerers, which Hill could understand as why he didn’t want to see him.

But he was still very unhappy about being confronted.

Indeed, it was a sudden inspiration for Hill, and the water law cooperated with his idea.

But so what?

Hill had the divine quality of the water law!

Hill was very clear about why Alexis had suddenly become so altruistic.

Being willing to save people and specially researching a spell for all Water Sorcerers were two different things.

Moreover, he had no intention of cooperating with Hill, even though Hill came up with the spell first.

Evidently, the rumors about Alexis sacrificing his life span to become a legend were probably true.

He was already worried about his longevity, fearing others would compete for the water divinity.

Unfortunately, if he was lucky, he might become a subordinate god like the Silver Wolf?

Hill didn’t believe Alexis could succeed.

The little snail beads would be coming out in just over a year.

Innate deities hadn’t appeared for a long time; the people on the continent seemed to have almost forgotten the existence of Law Deities.

Hill entirely didn’t care and acted like he didn’t know what Alexis was up to: ”It’s fine, as long as someone works on it, I hope Mr. Alexis succeeds soon.”

Angelica cautiously observed Hill’s expression, saluted, and went to the back of the team, hiding behind that male Sorcerer.

This little girl was probably Alexis’s successor. Don’t be fooled by her timid and innocent appearance. In truth, being able to notify her teacher about the coveted divinity after hearing about this spell and getting detailed information from two panicked Magisters was extraordinary.

Seeing that Hill didn’t seem to care, Abigail quickly changed the subject.

”Mr. Polanio, His Majesty the Saral King has allowed Sorcerers to move near the Western Border City. If they swear allegiance as high-level Sorcerers, Saral will help them build a Magic Tower. I hope this won’t affect you.”

”It’s fine.” Hill was a bit surprised, ”As long as it’s not near my territory, I have no objections.”

”That’s good. When we leave, we’ll visit Prince Fran,” Abigail explained, ”No matter what, we have to introduce ourselves to our future neighbors. We hope Prince Fran won’t find us too disturbing since we’re quite close.”

”Oh. Then you better go early.” Hill slightly frowned, ”However, no one would move near my grandfather, right?”

Hill wasn’t sure what they hoped to learn from him, but he wouldn’t guarantee Fran’s attitude.

”Of course, we won’t leave the Saral border,” Abigail immediately said, ”Low-Rank Sorcerers need the King’s protection. But Prince Fran seems to dislike strangers, and we’re worried about the impact.”

Hill nodded and said nothing more.

”Mr. Polanio,” Abigail asked, ”Can elves control the plants here?”

”No,” Hill simply said, ”The plants within a 1,000-kilometer radius of my grandfather’s territory will only obey my command.”

”Can you see everything that happens everywhere?” Abigail probed further.

”Of course not.” Hill frowned, ”I need magical plants, and they must be over a thousand years old to tell me what they see. They can only see things within a few meters around them. Only Treants can deliver distant messages.”

”Thank you for your answer.” Abigail smiled, ”Some things are known too quickly by the elves, but the teacher doesn’t believe it’s a plant issue and doesn’t want to destroy the beautiful gardens.”

Hill nodded. This girl implied internal problems within the Sorcerers, so some things couldn’t be controlled by them either. But she was also probing if Hill would monitor them.

It seemed elves had been surveilling the Dilante Sorcerer Tower for years.

Why?

If the elves, who always appeared aloof, were actively monitoring them so closely, it seemed this Dilante Sorcerer Tower hadn’t been honest for ages!

Having mixed bloodlines probably made it easier to hide certain secrets?

Abigail presented Hill with the gifts from the Sorcerer Tower and decided to take her leave.

Hill felt she still wanted to ask some questions but, upon seeing Angelica, she said nothing more.

She probably thought that Angelica already ruined Hill’s mood, making it difficult to discuss further matters.

So she decisively took her people and left but left a message about visiting again.

Hill said to List, ”It seems the Sorcerer Tower always wanted independence but didn’t have the consent of all legendary Sorcerers. But to take this opportunity while I’m suppressed by the Mage Association to break away decisively, this new Tower Master is ruthless! Inform my grandfather’s Tower Spirit; though I don’t know why, they seem very interested in my grandfather.”

After List left, Hill pondered for a while.

Could the bloodline of the Silvermoon Sorcerer come from the Moon Elves?

Could this Abigail know his grandmother?

But it didn’t matter. Fran might not even meet them.

Fran was currently isolating himself from all distractions to create his demi-God artifact!

William wanted to commission a few more giant ships, but Fran handed them over to Adrian.

If no innovation was needed, Adrian leading a team to make some Legendary Level alchemy ships was entirely possible.

Hill sat quietly, suddenly sighed, and collapsed onto the sofa. He still wanted to know if his grandmother was going to appear!

This had nothing to do with Hill. In this world, Melanie no longer existed, never cared for him, and was essentially a stranger.

But as long as he thought of this being the source of the Earth Bear bloodline, a physically strong half-elf according to Fran, his curiosity was piqued!

Otherwise, why would a Silvermoon Sorcerer inquire about his grandfather?

Hill reached out his hand, grabbed in the air, fantasized about the consequences of asking Fran, and silently gave up.

But he couldn’t resist and rushed to the upstairs study, contacting Adrian to see if he knew anything.

Adrian, overwhelmed with work, suddenly perked up upon hearing Hill’s words: ”Who did you say? Abigail? She has nothing to do with the teacher! But she has an aunt! She pursued the teacher to Saral! The teacher said he didn’t know her at all, just a stranger, and directly refused! That was after you were born!”

Hearing Adrian’s increasingly excited voice, Hill couldn’t help sighing: ”I thought she knew my grandmother.”

”Some people the teacher met during his travels might know your grandmother,” Adrian said with a laugh, ”Hill, during the teacher’s travels, his experiences were extremely rich.”
