Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1094: Chapter 625: Elegance on the Red Carpet (Part 2)

”Siyao, you look beautiful today.” The host’s eyes lit up as he approached her.

Xu Siyao smiled brightly and said, ”Thank you, it was worth taking my time to choose the dress.”

The host said, ”Siyao is an old friend of ours at ’Victor.’ Right now, there’s also a popular drama that the audience really enjoys. Taking this opportunity, I’d like to ask Siyao a question—why did you decide to take on ’Linjiang Immortal’ back then?”

Xu Siyao took the microphone and smiled as she said, ”Well, at that time, it was Sister Su Yan who approached me. She told me she had a script, a dual female lead script, which was incredibly interesting and asked if I was interested. I really wanted to collaborate with Sister Su Yan, and since this opportunity arose, I agreed immediately. While filming this drama, Sister Su Yan took great care of me. Although she’s a veteran, she never put on airs in the studio, always discussing scenes with me, which is probably why we managed to perform such gripping rival scenes.”

The host said, ”No wonder when we watch the drama, the competition between you two feels so real.”

”Haha, it seems Sister Su Yan and I acted well enough to give you that feeling,” Siyao chuckled.

The host said, ”There are also many fans of yours here today. Do you have anything you’d like to say to your fans?”

Xu Siyao said, ”Thank you everyone for coming out to see me in such cold weather. Take care, everyone, and remember to drink some warm water to avoid catching a cold.”

”Siyao is so considerate, caring for her fans like this,” said the host.

”Because they’ve always been so caring towards me,” Xu Siyao made a heart gesture towards the audience area.

”Xu Siyao, I love you—” Suddenly, a particularly loud voice came from the audience, loud enough to suppress everyone else’s voices.

Both Xu Siyao and the host were taken aback.

The host turned to look, laughed, and said, ”Siyao, it looks like there’s a fan who really adores you, even brought a loudspeaker to cheer for you.”

Xu Siyao said, ”Thank you, thank you. It must have been hard on everyone.”

She made a heart gesture to that fan and said, ”I love you too.”

The audience erupted in screams.

...

Su Yan happened to be entering right after Xu Siyao.

She witnessed the scene unfold live and thought to herself, this supporter deserves a chicken leg.

She walked forward gracefully, keeping He Ting’s advice in mind: there’s no need to stoop to Xu Siyao’s level; these worthless tricks need not be used anymore.

But at that moment, there was a commotion in the audience area.

The host’s voice echoed again, ”Siyao, where are you going?”

Su Yan was facing the shooting area, waving and posing, and hearing these chaotic sounds, subconsciously turned her head to look towards Xu Siyao.

Only to see Xu Siyao lifting her skirt to jog over to her.

Xu Siyao intimately linked arms with her, eyes gleaming with starlight, and called, ”Sister Su Yan, let’s take a photo together.”

She warmly wrapped her arms around Su Yan’s waist and faced the photographers, appearing very poised.

In contrast, Su Yan, taken off guard by Xu Siyao’s sudden move, didn’t react in time, her facial expression slightly distorted in surprise.

He Ting, witnessing this beside her, sighed inwardly.

Su Yan had been in the industry for so many years, yet was still led around by this little girl Xu Siyao.

Xu Siyao and Su Yan posed for numerous ”sisterhood” photos in front of the media before letting go of Su Yan and said, ”I’ll head in first, Sister Su Yan, I’ll be waiting for you inside.”

Only then did Su Yan react, gracefully blowing Xu Siyao a kiss.

She hoped a photographer would capture it.

She prayed silently.

...

”Xu Siyao is impressive, she even arranged for someone to shout ’Xu Siyao, I love you.’ Why didn’t I think of that?”

Yu Yhan whispered.

”Why learn from her?” asked a man in his thirties beside her.

Yu Yhan glanced at him, slightly petulant, and said, ”It’s because I’m not as popular as her. I’ve been in the industry for so long, yet I’m not as famous as a newcomer who’s only been around for two years.”

”What’s there to compare?” the man seemed indifferent, saying calmly.

Yu Yhan sighed and said, ”You’re not a woman, so you wouldn’t understand how intense the competition is among us. Forget it, no point explaining it to you. Remember to back me up tonight.”
