Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1064: Chapter 615: Smooth Sailing (Part 2)

The group of reporters looked speechless.

Every answer Gu Huaichun gave was followed by a promotion for ”Mother”, leaving them at a loss for words.

Song Chi watched as Gu Huaichun took the stage, heating up the venue within a few words, and then let him take the reins.

He signaled for the host to manage the scene while he stepped off the stage and headed backstage.

”How has Gu Huaichun become so lively?” Song Chi was somewhat surprised and asked.

Zhou Yun said, ”Who knows, even I was shocked, but he’s always been sharp-tongued.”

”Who are you talking about?”

At that moment, Wen Xi, having changed clothes, walked out gracefully.

With her originally tall and slender figure, as long as she dresses appropriately, she would look stunning.

As one of the country’s top supermodels, her appearance is always beautiful.

Zhou Yun looked at Wen Xi with delight and said, ”Sister Wen Xi, you look gorgeous in that dress.”

Wen Xi smiled and said, ”You’re thoughtful, and even helped borrow a dress for me.”

”We can’t let you help us and sacrifice your image.” Zhou Yun laughed, ”I’m asking for your help. By the way, Sister Wen Xi, please don’t mention that I’m here later, otherwise those reporters will go to great lengths to find me. Ugh, suddenly a photo with Wei Heyun was exposed.”

Wen Xi nodded, ”Alright.”

...

On the stage, Gu Huaichun continued his solo comedic act.

”Brother Chi is amazing, a producer who dares to tackle topics others won’t, and it’s not even tailor-made for himself—I’m truly impressed,” said Gu Huaichun. ”I hope you all support us; our industry needs diversity to be more interesting. We want to produce more diverse works, and we need everyone’s help.”

”Have you considered transitioning? If a work like ’Mother’ approached you to act, would you?” a reporter asked.

Gu Huaichun replied, ”I haven’t thought about transitioning, as I always focus on the script without limiting myself to certain types. It’s just that since I became famous through idol dramas, the roles I get are mostly idol dramas, and very few like ’Mother’ come my way. I encourage everyone to recommend me to other producers for acting opportunities.”

Gu Huaichun deflected the sensitive question with ease.

For him, Yuehai definitely wouldn’t let him act in such themed TV dramas.

Yuehai wants to ensure his screen image, especially in the eyes of his fans.

Gu Huaichun has never failed in any drama, making producers eager to collaborate with him.

Compared to Song Chi, Gu Huaichun is currently popular, and his fees are not as high, somewhat of a good value.

Gu Huaichun chatted humorously with the reporters until Song Chi returned with Wen Xi.

”Wen Xi!”

The reporters erupted in excitement upon seeing Wen Xi.

Although Wen Xi’s mainstream recognition might not be as high as that of actors and singers, her fame and popularity in the entertainment news sector are substantial.

Zhou Yun breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing the excited shouts from the front.

It seemed like the press conference was a success.

Zheng Xiaojue said, ”Sister Xiao Yun, you can finally relax now.”

”Yes, at last,” Zhou Yun said.

With Gu Huaichun and Wen Xi’s surprise guest appearances, the media reporters received unexpected delight.

After the press conference, Song Chi planned dinner for the evening.

Gu Huaichun was in a hurry to leave.

”I have a show recording that’s about to start; I’ll join you for dinner next time.” Gu Huaichun came and left in a rush, quickly departing.

It wasn’t until then that Zhou Yun had the chance to respond to the online buzz.

Of course, they were trending, no need to think twice.

Zhou Yun logged into Weibo and posted a response: The source of the news is very eager for ”Mother” to air, please don’t disturb.

Her fans commented: Hahahahahahahaha.

Soon after, Gu Huaichun’s speech at the ”Mother” press conference also sparked widespread discussion.

One trending topic: Gu Huaichun really went all out to promote ”Mother”.

Someone compiled a highlight reel of Gu Huaichun’s answers to reporters, showcasing how he always managed to mention ”Mother” at the end of each response.
