Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1080: Chapter 620: 3 Dramas_3

”But all three of these shows are going to be broadcast nationally. At that time, they’ll definitely compete in ratings,” Zhou Yun worried about this point. ”The ratings of ’Mother’...”

”Xiao Yun, you’re really losing your calm when you’re concerned. ’Mother’ is airing on Hongcheng TV Station. Do you know why? Hongcheng TV’s mainstay is family dramas. This type of genre might not be as popular online, but its ratings will definitely not be poor.”

”Really?”

”Yes.” Zhou Lan said, ”Why do you think the ratings of ’Dragon Ascending’ could continuously rise? Do you see more online discussions about ’Dragon Ascending’ than ’Linjiang Immortal’? But the ratings of ’Linjiang Immortal’ are not even half of ’Dragon Ascending’. The biggest competitor for ’Mother’ is still ’Dragon Ascending’. Both target the same viewer demographic, but don’t listen to those online marketing accounts babbling nonsense. They even dare to say that Zhang Hongyu is outdated. Are they crazy? Zhang Hongyu is one of the most popular actors in the country. Seeing her face makes people put down their remote controls.”

Zhou Lan’s points made sense.

Zhou Yun quietly let out a sigh of relief.

While Zhou Yun was worrying about ’Mother’, Wen Bing was also facing an unexpected challenge.

After Windsor broke up with him, she unexpectedly came back, wanting him to help introduce her to Zhou Yun.

Wen Bing thought that even though his breakup with Windsor wasn’t messy, it wasn’t amicable either. How could Windsor come back so quickly acting as if nothing happened, asking him for help?

Windsor even cheerfully said, ”Wen Bing, although we’ve broken up, we can still be friends, right?”

Wen Bing thought, bullshit.

But Wen Bing isn’t the type to flip out immediately. After some pestering from Windsor, he relented, saying, ”I’ll ask Zhou Yun first, see if she’s interested.”

Windsor’s temper flared, questioning, ”Does Zhou Yun not want to know me?”

Previously, the two had added each other on WeChat, but at the time Windsor felt Wen Bing was too close to Zhou Yun and was displeased. So on multiple occasions, she dropped insinuations in front of Zhou Yun, angering her greatly. While Zhou Yun didn’t react on the spot, she later blocked Windsor.

”The issue then was because she, as a woman, was too close to you, which made me a bit jealous. Now that I’ve broken up with you, why would she still be upset?”

Windsor spoke with confidence, but Wen Bing thought it would just waste time to ridicule her.

What, you were jealous of her and conflicted with her, and now you think just because you’re no longer jealous, she would be willing to be friends with you?

Wen Bing was too lazy to argue further and asked, ”What is it you want from her anyway? I need to know what to tell her. If it’s nothing important, just forget it. She’s very busy every day.”

Windsor was fuming, but she knew that back when she had a falling out with Zhou Yun, she was at fault. If Wen Bing didn’t want to help, it would be challenging to reconnect with Zhou Yun.

Even Chen Wenjun’s relationship with Zhou Yun was mediocre.

She thought about the reason she wanted to approach Zhou Yun, swallowed her pride, and told Wen Bing, ”I have a film, and I want to invite her to act in it. The pay won’t be an issue; it’ll definitely be above market rate.”

Wen Bing chuckled at Windsor’s tone.

”If that’s the case, I’ll just help her turn you down,” he said. ”Zhou Yun’s schedule for next year is already full; she doesn’t have time to take your job.”

Windsor wouldn’t believe it, immediately saying, ”Are you afraid that if Zhou Yun collaborates with me, she won’t work with you?”

Wen Bing was surprised at how Windsor could say such a nonsensical thing.

Aside from anything else, he’s a director. And who is Windsor anyway? Does he need to worry about this?

”If you have a project for her, just contact her agent directly,” Wen Bing said. ”Her agent will decide whether to take it. Believe it or not; it’s up to you.”

”If her agent was that easy to talk to, would I need to come to you?” Windsor furiously retorted, ”It’s because her agent is hard to deal with. No matter how much I try, they refuse to show the script to Zhou Yun.”

”Why won’t the agent show Zhou Yun the script?” Wen Bing asked.

”Why do you care about that? Wen Bing, just tell me if you’re going to help or not,” Windsor angrily demanded.

Listening to Windsor’s flustered yet evasive tone, Wen Bing could more or less guess the answer.

It’s likely that Zhou Lan thought the script was too poor and didn’t feel the need to show it to Zhou Yun.

Wen Bing smirked.

Back when Chen Wenjun gave Windsor a chance to work with him, Wen Bing didn’t stop her. There were better opportunities there, and if she wanted to break up, then so be it.

But Wen Bing couldn’t understand how someone like Windsor, without any relevant experience, thought that just by going over, she could successfully break into the industry.

As it turns out, Windsor hadn’t even gotten her foot in the door. Wen Bing had no idea what Chen Wenjun saw in her.
