Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1068: Chapter 616: Drunken Trouble (Part 3)

”’How’s the viewing count for the trailer of ’Mother’ on Chestnut Video?’

’It’s okay, not particularly high. Let me tell you, I supported you when you wanted to do this, but we can’t have too high expectations, the theme is too limited.’ Wu Chengbao said, ’Now that the series has been sold, along with the initial placements, we’ve already recouped our costs. We’ll see the show’s performance and then decide how much more to invest in promotions.’

’Thanks for the hard work.’

’I’m fine, just doing my job for my salary.’ Wu Chengbao laughed, ’But it was hard for Xiao Yun today, bringing in Gu Huaichun and Wen Xi under such pressing circumstances.’

’She’s passionate about helping friends.’

’Yes.’ Wu Chengbao nodded, ’Old Song, I think you should learn from Xiao Yun in this aspect. Look at her, she never hesitates when she needs help from others. Relationships are about mutual assistance.’

’Alright, stop lecturing me, I’m about to head back to the crew to shoot.’ Song Chi said, ’I’ll leave the show in your hands.’

’Don’t give me so much pressure, okay? This is our first official release; airing it is already a victory.’ Wu Chengbao said, ’To grab the schedule, I drank with those guys from Hongcheng TV Station for a week, my stomach almost couldn’t handle it.’

Song Chi patted Wu Chengbao on the shoulder.

’Thanks.’

’No need for thanks at this stage. Have you eaten enough?’ Wu Chengbao said, ’It’s late, and you have to travel. Don’t end up hungry.’

Song Chi said, ’I ate quite a lot just now.’

’Alright.’

Wu Chengbao rotated his neck and massaged it, saying, ’We’ve attained a stage victory today, so let’s sleep well tonight and continue the battle tomorrow.’

’Mm.’

Song Chi returned to the restaurant.

’Where did you go?’ Zhou Yun, who had returned, asked him.

’I went to chat with Wu Chengbao.’ Song Chi took hold of Zhou Yun’s hand and gently squeezed it, saying, ’I’m heading back to the crew. Where are you staying tonight?’

’Sister Lan has already booked us a hotel. Are you going back to the crew this late?’ Zhou Yun asked, ’Can’t you go back tomorrow morning?’

’I have filming in the morning, so I must return to the crew tonight.’ Song Chi explained.

’Alright then,’ Zhou Yun said, ’then you better go quickly, don’t waste time, the sooner you leave, the sooner you’ll arrive.’

Song Chi said, ’Let me accompany you a bit longer, I’ll send you back to the hotel.’

’What’s with sending me? Xiaoju and the others are here.’ Zhou Yun said, ’You better set off quickly, don’t waste time.’

Song Chi nodded at this.

After seeing off Song Chi, Zhou Yun also prepared to return to the hotel.

Suddenly, a drunken senior actor stopped Zhou Yun, saying, ’Xiao Yun, you’re not doing it right. Why aren’t you having a drink with everyone?’

Zhou Yun was startled when blocked.

Someone quickly grabbed the actor’s hand and said, ’Brother Hu, Brother Hu, you’re drunk!’

The senior actor pushed the person aside, shouting, ’What do you mean drunk, drunk!’

Zheng Xiaojue and Cao Jun had already come forward to protect Zhou Yun.

Zheng Xiaojue said, ’Sister Xiao Yun, let’s ignore him and go.’

Those around them were all involved with the ’Mother’ project, they stepped forward to help Zhou Yun.

’Brother Hu, I’ll drink with you, okay?’

’Yes, Brother Hu, why are you asking Zhou Yun to drink, she’s not part of the ’Mother’ cast.’

...

This actor called Brother Hu shouted, ’What if she isn’t part of the ’Mother’ cast? Isn’t she the junior? When a junior meets a senior, shouldn’t they offer a drink?’

His voice was loud, and no one could restrain him.

The atmosphere became awkward.

Zhou Yun stood there, locked by everyone’s gaze, she could only smile with composure.

’Song Chi worked hard, putting together this crew and finally finishing this series. When he asked me to help with this shoot, I came without hesitation. Then, as Song Chi’s girlfriend, can’t she honor me with a drink?’

Brother Hu stared at Zhou Yun, ’Or are you saying you don’t care about Song Chi at all? Are you really cheating on him?’

The room fell silent.

Zhou Yun’s hand trembled slightly.

The malicious stares around her pierced like needles, and murmurs began.

Zhou Yun felt powerless, unable to speak for a long time.

’What are you talking about!’ At this moment when Zhou Yun felt isolated, Zheng Xiaojue suddenly shouted angrily, ’Sister Xiao Yun and Brother Chi’s relationship is good, everyone can see it. You disrespectful old fool, what nonsense are you babbling!’

’Exactly, drunk and confused!’ Zhang Zeshan also stepped up to help.”
