Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1055: Chapter 612: Chance Encounter with Wei Heyun (Part 2)

Zhou Yun thought for a moment and realized it was really like that.

If an actor like Wei Heyun came to her for a role, she would definitely have suspicions in various aspects.

It’s not something that can just be settled with a paycheck.

”Of course, the platform also said that if we can get a top-tier celebrity for our drama, they’ll reconsider the investment amount and the show’s rating,” Wei Heyun said, ”But it’s tough. It’s really difficult to get a top-tier celebrity to agree to this drama; everyone wants to work with them.”

Zhou Yun curiously asked, ”Is this drama not suitable for me?”

”Of course not. If it were suitable for you, I would’ve asked you to read the script by now,” Wei Heyun said, ”The main character is a fourteen-year-old girl.”

As soon as Zhou Yun heard it, she understood.

”I see.”

Wei Heyun said, ”Yeah, so this young girl can only be played by a new actor, unless we change the script, but if we change the script, it loses its meaning.”

”Do you need my help?” Zhou Yun asked, ”Although I don’t know what I could do.”

”Of course, you can help,” Wei Heyun said, ”If you’re willing, take a look at the script. If you think it’s valuable, help me find a director and actors. Your word that it’s a good script is more convincing than a hundred words from me.”

”But I have to read the script first before I can say that,” Zhou Yun said.

Wei Heyun nodded, ”Of course, I know your temperament, you’re like this, and I’ve known it for a long time. Don’t worry, I have complete confidence in this story.”

”Alright, I’ll talk about it after I see the script then,” Zhou Yun said, ”But I do admire you, you’ve changed quite a lot. In such a cold day, you came out alone to scout locations, and the script isn’t even written yet.”

”Exactly, I told the screenwriter that I hope the script will be done within a month,” Wei Heyun said, ”It’s a 120,000-word novel that can only be adapted into a short series. If everything goes well, I hope to start filming at the beginning of next year.”

”What? Are you crazy? How can you be in such a hurry? It’s almost the end of the year, starting to film at the beginning of next year is too fast.”

”I said after the Spring Festival.”

”That’s still fast, too rushed.”

”There’s no choice, the story is set in early spring, right after winter,” Wei Heyun said, ”If we don’t film at this time, we’ll have to postpone to the year after next.”

”That’s too difficult,” Zhou Yun said, ”Be careful not to end up with a disaster of a film.”

”It should be okay, once the script is out, finding a director and actors will be manageable.”

”If you want to find the right actors, that’s really not easy,” Zhou Yun said, ”You can’t handle things like this, it’s too hasty. If the script comes out in January, the earliest you should film is April or May. Even then, I’d say it’s a bit rushed. You can just find investment and have them invest at your word? You think you can find a director who just happens to be free and waiting just for you? And the actors, not to mention new ones, what about other actors? Are they just sitting at home waiting for your film? Start filming without securing a broadcast platform? What if you finish it and can’t sell it, and it ends up being a flop?”

Zhou Yun threw a barrage of words at Wei Heyun.

Wei Heyun said, ”You really live in a different world. How many projects do you think work the way you described, waiting for everything to be perfect before starting? The ones you work on are big productions with no shortage of investment or platforms. When we put together a project, it’s good enough if we can have a team.”

”You really are...” Zhou Yun gave him a look, ”Can’t you try to do things a bit better? Why do you have to head in the direction of sloppy production?”

”Where’s the money to make it finely produced?” Wei Heyun said, ”If the investment really can’t be secured, I’ll invest in it myself. I invested a lot in the first two films myself and earned a lot too.”

Zhou Yun clicked her tongue, gave Wei Heyun another look, thought for a moment, and said, ”I’ll see if I know any directors who have available slots. You really should collaborate with someone reliable. You were fooled by the last two teams you joined.”

Wei Heyun smiled serenely and said, ”Let me tell you, now that I’ve done these two films, no matter how bad the reviews are, my family is overjoyed. In their eyes, I’m finally doing something legitimate.”
