Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 837: Chapter 538: A Lawsuit (2)

”He Yong is the owner of the talent agency. What’s so hard to understand about him training newcomers?” Zhou Yun sneered, ”He must be feeling a heavy sense of crisis right now.”

”Of course, he is. The public opinion about him has been quite negative lately, and his reputation is declining.”

”If I were He Yong, I’d also be planning ahead. You can’t wait until Li Ci completely loses his popularity before training new talents,” Zhou Yun said.

”Without He Yong, Li Ci wouldn’t be so famous. Li Ci is entirely a product of He Yong’s management,” Zhou Lan said. ”Ultimately, if Li Ci had solid skills himself, he wouldn’t be so worried about being replaced.”

”Zhang Mo is a good person, and he’s a good actor. As long as He Yong is willing to invest in him, he will become popular,” Zhou Yun said.

Zhou Lan, however, held a different opinion. ”In this industry, whether someone becomes popular or not is really unpredictable.”

After chatting with Zhou Lan, Zhou Yun naturally contacted Zhang Mo immediately.

”I heard we are colleagues now,” Zhou Yun said with a smile.

Zhang Mo also smiled and said, ”Hello, senior sister.”

Zhou Yun laughed out loud.

”Are you in Shanghai now?”

”Yes,” Zhang Mo replied, ”I just came today to sign the contract.”

”Congratulations, congratulations! I’m not in Shanghai right now. When I get back, let’s have a meal together.”

”Sure, I’ll treat you to a meal to show my respect,” Zhang Mo said jokingly.

”That’s something you should do,” Zhou Yun said. ”Has the company assigned an agent to you?”

If they haven’t, Zhou Yun thought she could have Zhou Lan try to secure one for him.

”They have assigned Yuh Jiangxing. I’ve heard he’s a relative of President He.”

”Oh.” Upon hearing Yuh Jiangxing’s name, Zhou Yun understood. It seems He Yong truly plans to promote Zhang Mo; otherwise, he wouldn’t have Yuh Jiangxing manage him. ”He’s quite capable. Even though he’s a relative, he has a lot of resources on hand and definitely won’t let you down.”

”But I heard he’s also managing Xu Siyao? I’ve heard Xu Siyao is quite troublesome?”

”No worries. Just keep your distance from her.”

Zhang Mo chuckled.

...

Zhou Yun didn’t know what impact Zhang Mo signing with Chengqian would have on Chengqian’s situation.

But with Zhang Mo coming over, it should affect Lu Zhongting and Huang Zicheng.

There’s no choice; being of similar age means there will inevitably be competition for resources.

That night, Zhou Yun was already dozing off, unaware of when Song Chi returned.

Without even opening her eyes, she instinctively snuggled closer to him and continued sleeping.

The next day, after lunch, Zhou Yun left to return to Shanghai.

She has work tomorrow.

Song Chi drove her to the high-speed railway station.

In the car, Zhou Yun and Song Chi shared a goodbye kiss.

Reluctant to part.

Upon returning to Shanghai, Cao Jun picked Zhou Yun up from the high-speed railway station and took her home.

Zhou Yun made a simple dinner for herself, ate, read a book in the evening, and went to bed early.

...

The work the following day was a magazine photoshoot.

It’s not a major publication, but since Jinling Jewelry has a collaboration with them, she needed to shoot a cover and a set of inside pages.

Zhou Yun arrived at the set ten minutes early.

Jinling Jewelry hired a makeup artist and a stylist specifically to design several signature looks for her.

While doing her makeup, Jinling Jewelry’s representative came over to greet her.

Zhou Yun exchanged a few pleasantries with them.

The representative inquired about her future plans, and Zhou Yun mentioned two dramas to them.

The representative asked somewhat puzzledly if she hadn’t taken on any films.

Zhou Yun replied she hadn’t encountered a suitable script.

”Of course. If there isn’t a suitable script, there’s no need to compromise,” the representative smiled and added, ”However, it’s better not to do too many TV series.”

Zhou Yun asked why.

The representative hesitantly mentioned that TV series production quality isn’t as good as movies right now, or that movies have a more international reach, and so on.

It took Zhou Yun a while to understand that they believed doing too many TV dramas would make her appear less prestigious in the public eye.

Jinling Jewelry is in the luxury goods industry, prioritizing the public image of their spokespersons.

You should know that some luxury brands have changed their spokespersons due to complaints and dislike from target customers, directly revoking the spokesperson role.

Zhou Yun couldn’t help but feel a bit helpless.

But this is indeed the reality.

There wasn’t much Zhou Yun could add to that.

”I have my own standards for acting and choosing roles,” she only said.

”Indeed, Xiao Yun, your eye for choosing roles is well-known.”

...

The photoshoot went smoothly, with everyone praising her for being photogenic and looking beautiful, truly goddess-like.
