Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 828: Chapter 535:

What troubles does she have, apart from Zhou Yun giving her trouble during such a smooth process?

It is because of her commercial value that even He Yong rarely speaks harshly to her, often advising her earnestly to look at the long-term picture.

Xu Siyao is stubborn, and no one can persuade her, but no one would truly suppress her either.

Obviously, in a company like Chengqian Entertainment, female artists who can carry the mantle are already few, and even if there were more, there wouldn’t be many like Xu Siyao who can earn the company tens of millions in a year.

What’s more, aside from other matters, Xu Siyao’s cooperation in commercial endeavors is significantly higher than Zhou Yun’s.

For web series like ”Half City Rain,” Zhou Yun would absolutely not participate, but Xu Siyao doesn’t mind as long as the pay is good enough; she would accept the role.

The same goes for live-stream sales and commercial performances; as long as the money is sufficient, everything is negotiable.

For someone like He Yong, the CEO who has many interests to balance and satisfy, top-tier stars like Zhou Yun are undoubtedly the priority, but a big star like Xu Siyao who can help him manage many personal connections is also indispensable.

Xu Siyao came and went, causing quite a stir in ”Under the Grand Dress.”

Everyone was talking, and when looking at Guan Siya, their gazes now carried more meaning.

Previously, everyone thought ”Half City Rain” was aware of the situation, but now it seems that Guan Siya was deceiving both sides.

Such boldness.

In this industry, there’s no wall that completely blocks the wind, and the news about Guan Siya slowly spread. Her double-booking incident marked her, and later, many producers instinctively crossed her off their list of potential actresses upon seeing her name, but that’s another story.

As for now, Guan Siya is full of regret.

She also heard a piece of news.

It’s said that the producer and supervisor of ”Under the Grand Dress” reached a consensus that, during the final editing of the film, they would cut out as much of her scenes as possible, and for those that couldn’t be cut, they would use long shots or give the frame to others, only leaving her voice.

This approach aims to prevent Guan Siya from enjoying the benefits of this drama’s airing as much as possible.

An actor makes a living with their appearance; if during editing, her face is blocked out as much as possible, a role that could have five hours of screen time, after such manipulation, only has two hours left. It’s simply a deliberate act of revenge and retribution.

Guan Siya was so furious that she locked herself in the dressing room to cry and throw a fit.

People passing by her dressing room heard her complaints and curses inside, but pretended not to hear.

This news reached Zhou Yun’s ears, and Zhou Yun just chuckled it off.

As long as it doesn’t affect the overall quality of the drama, if it can teach Guan Siya a lesson, there’s nothing wrong with it.

She deeply abhors Guan Siya’s actions.

Since her debut, Zhou Yun has acted in several dramas and has never encountered such blatant double-booking and unprofessional behavior as Guan Siya’s. The closest encounter was during the shooting of ”Falling Leaves,” when someone backed out last minute.

Why do people hold professionalism in such high regard?

Because the film and television industry is collective work; a drama involves not only the actors in front of the camera but also many behind-the-scenes staff. They invest several months to a whole year of their time into a project, counting on it for their livelihood. If, because of one person, the project gets delayed or canceled, it affects not just one person, but the livelihood of hundreds involved.

If not for the fact that leaving halfway through shooting would lead to significant losses for the crew, Zeng Lili wouldn’t have put finishing her scenes before attending to her husband who was diagnosed with cancer.

This isn’t just about her; it’s not just her job.

...

At this time, Victor’s ”Under the Grand Dress” column for its first issue was finally launched.

The collaborative column was published in the magazine and also posted on Victor’s official media channels.

The first issue involved eight roles from the ”Under the Grand Dress” production team such as actors Zhou Yun and Zeng Lili, director Ning Yufeng, and positions like assistant director, photographer, lighting technician, and script supervisor.

Fashion is an attitude towards life.
