Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 826: Chapter 534: Who’s Boss Now_4

But Zhou Yun herself is someone who prepares for unforeseen problems, fearing ’flames over oil’. The more intense the situation, the more she wants to stay low-key.

Zeng Lili finished the last scene, wrapped up and left, and Zhou Yun personally escorted her to the car.

Zeng Lili hugged her briefly, both of them didn’t say much, what needed to be said had already been said.

After sending Zeng Lili off, the filming returned to normal, and the progress even slightly accelerated.

Cheng Shenlv was scheduled to shoot ”Youth Story” in September. Because of Zeng Lili’s scenes, many shoots had been delayed, so Ning Yufeng had to quickly wrap up Cheng Shenlv’s scenes.

As for Guan Siya... The producer held a grudge over previous matters, aiming to teach her a lesson. Thus, they specially instructed the coordinator to schedule Guan Siya’s shoots either at dawn or late at night, exhausting her, keeping her on set, not allowing her to leave.

Guan Siya was furious, her eyes red, but no one said anything for her.

Previously lying to take leave and immediately joining another crew was a major taboo; who would be willing to speak for her now?

Privately, Lin Luyao said, ”If it’s just this minor punishment now, so be it. I’m only afraid that during editing, all her salable scenes will be cut, making these days of shooting pointless.”

Luo Zi chuckled, ”Who’s to blame for that?”

Lin Luyao suddenly thought of something and asked, ”Luo Zi, have you privately tried to find Zhou Yun?”

”Find her?” Luo Zi showed a hint of discomfort on her face, ”Why are you asking me that?”

”Isn’t it because I see many people trying to find her, hoping there might be suitable roles in her next film to play again? After a whole film, no one seems to have gotten closer to her.” Lin Luyao sighed, ”It’s really hopeless, always met with indifference.”

”It’s not that bad, I’ve never seen her show a cold face. And, there are so many people looking for her.” Luo Zi sighed, ”Let it be. It would be wonderful to join her film, but if it doesn’t happen, there’s nothing to do about it. Being in ’Under the Grand Dress’ already satisfies me.”

”Why are you satisfied? Are you dumb? If it hadn’t been Zhou Yun who picked us for this film, would we have had the chance to be in ’Under the Grand Dress’?”

Lin Luyao is a contracted actor at Chengqian, while Luo Zi is contracted with another company. Before ’Under the Grand Dress’, neither of them was regarded highly, and good resources, especially prime roles, never came their way.

Especially Lin Luyao, being an actor at Chengqian, after being invited to act in ’Under the Grand Dress’, other shows at Chengqian immediately asked for her schedule, something that never happened before.

Luo Zi said, ”We can’t keep pestering Zhou Yun to take us along for more films.”

Lin Luyao sighed.

Indeed, they couldn’t keep pestering Zhou Yun for such favors.

Luo Zi added, ”Moreover, I feel Zhou Yun isn’t someone who would let someone act in her film just because of personal ties. Look at Wang Jing and Yuk Chu, not every film includes them, and they aren’t in this one.”

Lin Luyao shrugged, ”That, I’m not sure about, but if there’s a chance to act alongside her, I’d accept subpar conditions.”

”By the way, is Li Ci not acting recently?” Luo Zi suddenly asked.

”Seems like it, why ask this?” Lin Luyao asked.

Luo Zi said, ”Previously, at a dinner, someone mentioned sending him a script, but he refused without even looking, saying he wasn’t planning to act recently.”

”Why?” Lin Luyao initially asked, then realized, ”Perhaps after ’Dingfengbo’ where he was criticized online for poor acting, he doesn’t dare act now?”

Luo Zi: ”Is his acting really that bad?”

”Quite average, actually.” Lin Luyao nodded.

Luo Zi looked thoughtful.

”These days, actors who are famous, how many truly have good acting skills?” Lin Luyao said, ”Otherwise Song Chi and Zhou Yun wouldn’t be seen at the pinnacle, it’s because among peers there are few who truly compete with them.”

...

Despite the discussions, the filming continued as usual.

These days, Guan Siya clearly carried much resistance, her mood in filming being low, often causing NGs. Ning Yufeng planned to talk to her respectfully, but there was no improvement, annoying Ning Yufeng to the point of his face turning blue once.

Guan Siya’s issue wasn’t one of ability but attitude.

She was deliberately displaying face, and the crew couldn’t do anything about it since she wasn’t skipping the set or refusing to cooperate, just performing poorly.

Once, angered enough, Ning Yufeng said publicly, ”Guan Siya, do you plan to continue as an actress? With your current attitude, you might leave the industry sooner or later!”

Guan Siya replied sarcastically, ”Director, this is my caliber, don’t lose patience.”

Ning Yufeng clenched his teeth in anger.

Seeing this, Zhou Yun thought about it and said, ”Director, how about this? Since Guan Siya can’t find her momentum, let’s postpone her scenes, shoot the others first, and if she delays time, then it’s her own mess.”

Guan Siya looked at Zhou Yun in shock.

Zhou Yun looked at her and said, ”You should take these days to properly adjust your state.”

Ning Yufeng realized Zhou Yun made a valid point, why waste everyone’s time here?

With a quick discussion, Guan Siya’s scenes were scheduled last each day, those requiring other actors placed earlier, solo scenes left to the B Team Director, not stopping until it’s right, then shutdown once complete.

This way, Guan Siya dared not slack deliberately anymore.

Otherwise, she’s only wasting her own time, wearing herself out.

Inside, Guan Siya resented Zhou Yun greatly. If it hadn’t been for Zhou Yun, she wouldn’t be cursed by President Gao, nor facing the current plight.

She hadn’t considered her own mistakes, only thinking that if she becomes famous one day, she’d definitely make Zhou Yun pay.
