Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 808: Chapter 529: Sudden Leave Request

Song Chi really came.

He wasn’t in a wheelchair, but using a cane.

The cast on his foot had been removed, but walking was still a bit awkward, so he needed the cane.

Zhou Yun ran over in delight.

Seeing this, Song Chi quickly said, ”Take it easy, I’m not steady on my feet yet.”

Zhou Yun ignored him and hugged Song Chi, her eyes full of excitement.

Song Chi smiled too and said, ”How did you know I was here?”

”You came to my place, how could I not know you’ve arrived?” Zhou Yun asked, ”Why did you come today? You didn’t even give me a heads-up.”

”You’re filming, I didn’t want to disturb you, I just wanted to see you,” Song Chi said, ”I’m starting to shoot in September, and once I’m on set, my schedule will be even tighter.”

Zhou Yun hugged Song Chi, not caring that many people had gathered around them, nor was she embarrassed by the closeness.

”How’s your leg? Will it affect your acting?” Zhou Yun asked worriedly.

Song Chi shook his head with a smile and said, ”Don’t worry about me, I’m aware of my situation. The crew has coordinated everything; they’ll shoot scenes of me sitting or not moving first. The doctor also said my leg is recovering well and should be fully healed by September or October.”

”I’m just afraid you’re pushing yourself too hard. If it’s really difficult, take more rest. Injuries take a hundred days to heal, you had a fracture, make sure there are no lasting side effects,” Zhou Yun said.

Song Chi shook his head and said, ”Don’t worry, I’m fine.”

Zhou Yun held Song Chi’s hand and walked inside.

”Why not say hello to everyone?”

Song Chi agreed.

”Are you enjoying filming?” he asked.

”Very much, it’s completely pulled me out of the predicament from ’Four Killers’,” Zhou Yun said, ”Ning Yufeng is a great director. I heard he hasn’t signed a long-term contract with any company. Maybe you could see if you can sign him.”

Song Chi asked in surprise, ”He’s still independent?”

Indeed, although Ning Yufeng isn’t well-known outside, within the industry, especially in the eyes of someone like Song Chi who’s involved in film production, Ning Yufeng is already a mature director.

He has directed two TV series, both of which have garnered good reviews, which is quite rare.

Song Chi thought Ning Yufeng would have been signed by a major platform long ago.

Zhou Yun said, ”Ning Yufeng doesn’t want to be restricted in his freedom, and he has high aspirations. He’s not very interested in the topics that major companies want to make, but I think you’d be interested in him, and you wouldn’t restrict him like platforms do.”

Song Chi nodded.

”This news surprises me, I’ll see if I have a chance to chat with him later,” Song Chi said, ”If he agrees to work with me, I’d be thrilled.”

The domestic film and TV market is very large now, and good directors and actors are always in short supply.

Especially someone like Ning Yufeng, who can independently direct a project, is highly sought after by all film production companies.

What Song Chi’s company is most lacking now is mature, experienced producers and directors.

Song Chi’s appearance excited everyone in ’Under the Grand Dress’.

After all, Song Chi is even more popular and became famous earlier than Zhou Yun.

He’s someone whom almost every actress wants to work with, and many even have a crush on him.

’Under the Grand Dress’ has many young actors who rarely get a chance to see Song Chi. They were all thrilled, taking photos, exchanging WeChat contacts, everyone was overjoyed.

Of course, Song Chi’s presence couldn’t disrupt their filming.

After a brief chat, Song Chi moved aside to sit with Ning Yufeng behind the monitor.

Song Chi also got a chance to see Ning Yufeng in action.

Today’s scene was Zhou Yun chatting with Zhou Jianfeng during a meeting break, with others noticing their secretive interaction, a scene full of innuendo.

Another scene with lots of dialogue.

Too much dialogue can actually bore people, making them lose the desire to continue watching.

Many even feel that a great scene shouldn’t have too much dialogue.

However, ’Under the Grand Dress’ is precisely a dialogue-heavy drama.

This imposes two demands on the drama: firstly, the actors need to have strong dialogue skills, and secondly, the director must be able to control the rhythm well.

For such scenes, Ning Yufeng initially instructed Zeng Lili and Zhou Yun that he would try not to use long shots.

Long shots can certainly highlight the actors’ abilities, but they can easily disrupt the rhythm of the drama itself.
