Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 811: Chapter 530: Filming Adjustments

Zeng Lili sighed and said, ”There’s a surgery to be done, depending on the surgery, Xiao Yun, I’m here to talk to you about the upcoming arrangements.”

When Zeng Lili mentioned the upcoming arrangements, Zhou Yun immediately became serious.

”Go ahead.”

”I know doing this might cause a lot of trouble for the crew, but I have no choice. If things go south, this might be the last period I can spend with him.”

After she finished speaking, her eyes turned slightly red.

Zhou Yun felt a pang in her heart.

She couldn’t help but worry if Zeng Lili was considering resigning from this play?

Anxiety surfaced in her mind.

But ultimately, she didn’t voice any objections to Zeng Lili; she didn’t know how to say it.

Zeng Lili said, ”I want the crew to move my scenes ahead and wrap them up as soon as possible. I want to finish the shoot early and leave.”

Zhou Yun was taken aback.

Zeng Lili wasn’t going to quit?

Zhou Yun immediately felt a sense of relief in her heart.

Of course, at such a time, she actually shouldn’t be relieved about this matter.

In this situation, if Zeng Lili were to resign, it would mean reshooting all the previous scenes, but as long as she doesn’t resign, the loss can be minimized.

She felt somewhat guilty. At this time, she wasn’t as worried about Zeng Lili’s husband; her priority was still how to proceed with the play.

Zhou Yun held Zeng Lili’s hand and said, ”Lily, I’ll fully cooperate on my side, and I’ll also talk to the crew.”

Zeng Lili gave her a faint smile, her expression a bit dazed.

”If there’s anything I can help with, please just tell me.” Zhou Yun embraced Zeng Lili with a sense of guilt, gently resting her head on her shoulder.

Zeng Lili sighed, ”I really want to leave it all behind and take good care of him, but he told me, having been an actress for so many years, it’s hard to find a role I like so much. How can I just quit? And then he insisted that I mustn’t resign. Actually, I’m very conflicted. I’m willing to compensate the crew for the loss, but he’s always very supportive of me, saying that if I gave up this play for him, it would make him feel terrible and might worsen his condition. I’m so angry, but he won’t budge, so I had to come back.”

Zhou Yun listened, surprised and at a loss for words.

She had never met Zeng Lili’s husband and didn’t even know who he was, but from Zeng Lili’s words, it seemed their relationship was quite good.

”Lily, you and your husband have a great relationship, don’t you?” Zhou Yun said, ”I rarely see a couple who have been married for so many years and are still so in love.”

Zeng Lili smiled and said, ”He and I grew up together, bickering and quarrelling until now.”

Zhou Yun suddenly felt a twinge of bitterness in her heart.

With the two who grew up together, Zeng Lili must be even more heartbroken now.

Faced with the risk of losing a loved one, it only becomes more painful.

For Zeng Lili’s sake, Zhou Yun gathered the producer, director, and others for a meeting, explained Zeng Lili’s basic family situation to everyone, and expressed her stance.

”No matter what, let’s try to find a way to wrap up Lily’s scenes earlier.”

Ning Yufeng nodded and said, ”I’ll try to pull out the parts of Lily’s solo scenes, and we’ll shoot them at night if possible. If we can’t do it at night, we’ll slot it in at noon.”

The filming of ”Under the Grand Dress” had mostly been during the day, wrapping up in the evening, without working late into the night unless necessary.

What Ning Yufeng was doing, it meant working overtime for himself.

Zhou Yun said to Ning Yufeng, ”For the scenes I have with Zeng Lili, if no other actors are needed, we can also schedule them at night. I’ll cooperate fully.”

With both of them saying so, the others had no objections, of course.

...

Cheng Shenlv received the latest notice and found that her scheduled scenes had decreased in the coming days, almost only one or two scenes per day. She was a bit surprised and didn’t know why there was such a change, so she asked someone to inquire with the coordinator. After an explanation, Cheng Shenlv found out that it was to prioritize finishing Zeng Lili’s scenes early.

Currently, the news of Zeng Lili’s husband being diagnosed with stomach cancer hadn’t spread. Everyone only knew that Zeng Lili had taken leave, and the crew suddenly needed to prioritize finishing her scenes early. Cheng Shenlv still didn’t know the reason behind it.
