Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 829: Chapter 535: Filling the Gap

This is the theme of this issue.

At the same time, the article for the first exclusive interview opportunity with ”Under the Grand Dress” has also been published.

Both sides, front and back, have drawn a lot of attention to the drama ”Under the Grand Dress.”

Originally, this drama was already getting a lot of attention due to Zhou Yun starring in it.

However, with so much news every day, if ”Under the Grand Dress” doesn’t appear for a long time, people will forget about it.

The target audience for this drama is career women and people interested in fashion.

No one has the ambition to turn this drama into a series suitable for all ages.

So, it’s actually simpler to promote this drama compared to something like ”Heart Inquiry.”

Zheng Xiaowen even went big by buying major magazine covers for Zhou Yun and Zeng Lili, promoting ”Under the Grand Dress” and VX.

The shooting is complete, but the issue for release hasn’t been decided yet.

Zhou Yun is currently worried that Zeng Lili might be unable to participate in the promotion, which could affect many pre-decided promotion plans.

Towards the end of the shooting of the drama, everyone sat down for a meeting.

Zhou Lan said, ”I talked with Zeng Lili’s team, and indeed, it’s inconvenient for her to participate in the follow-up promotion. We might need to find someone else for the promotion plans we’ve set before.”

”Yes, let’s discuss today who would be suitable for the replacement,” the producer said. ”Actually, it would be ideal to replace her with Wan Fangli. She’s the third main actress in our drama, and theoretically she should step in for Zeng Lili. But I talked to her, and unfortunately, she has taken a role in an American series and will soon go to the United States to shoot, returning only next year. We hope to air the drama by the end of this year or early next year, so the timing doesn’t fit.”

Zhou Yun said, ”Since Wan Fangli’s schedule doesn’t fit, is there anyone whose schedule does?”

”Actually, as long as they’re in the country, the schedule can be coordinated,” the producer said. ”The key is finding someone to replace Zeng Lili’s position.”

Everyone knows well that aside from Zeng Lili and Wan Fangli, the remaining actresses are mostly not well-known yet.

Involving them in the early promotion plans, on one hand, many collaborations were already set with roles for two or three people. Now lacking Zeng Lili, one more person is needed to fill the spot; otherwise, the collaboration framework needs to change, causing significant trouble for the other party. On the other hand, although the focus of the promotion is certainly on Zhou Yun, it can’t be solely on her. For example, even if a show invites a superstar like Andy Lau or Wang Fei, not all attention can be on them. With flowers, there must be leaves; with those setting up the pitch, there must be supporters. The star effect is important, but maximizing the star effect is more crucial.

Why is Yang Ying so eye-catching in ”Keep Running,” but not so much in other variety shows? If you think about it carefully, you might come up with your own answer.

The issue wasn’t resolved today, but the word got out.

This is quite something; the other people in the crew pounced like sharks smelling blood.

For the crew, it’s about needing someone to fill the spot.

For them, it’s a free, legitimate chance to raise their profile and expand their exposure.

Not to mention, many promotional resources, such as fashion magazine covers and the opportunity to be interviewed by major media outlets, are things they usually aspire to but can’t obtain.

Zhou Yun didn’t expect that within a few hours, she would receive calls and messages from various people, either indirectly or directly discussing the matter with her.

Zhou Yun, feeling a headache, said outright that she wasn’t responsible for this matter.

Their ears are too sharp.

However, Zhou Yun might be able to avoid these people, but she can’t avoid the actors in the crew.

Lin Luyao and Luo Zi were the most proactive, knocking on her door directly to express their thoughts to her, expressing their desire to join the promotion team.

Both even enthusiastically told Zhou Yun they would refuse any reward and would fully cooperate with the crew’s activities.

Their words were so similar that Zhou Yun couldn’t help but wonder if they had rehearsed before coming to her.

Too surprising.

Zheng Xiaojue was laughing, saying, ”Sister Xiao Yun, it’s like you’ve thrown a whole pile of fish food into a fish pond.”
