Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 291: Chapter 253: Rise: 89

Another man involved in this matter, Wei Heyun, somehow got Zhou Yun’s private number and called her early the next morning.

The ringtone of the phone woke Zhou Yun from her sleep. She moaned lazily and stretched.

”Hello?” she answered the unfamiliar call, ”Who is this?”

”Wei Heyun.”

Zhou Yun became instantly alert.

”How, how did you get my number?”

”I asked someone for it, I heard Yu Sitian went to trouble you.” Wei Heyun’s tone carried a bit of apology, ”I didn’t expect her reaction to be so intense.”

Zhou Yun said, ”I told you not to get your hopes up.”

”I didn’t expect she wouldn’t give me any chance at all.” Wei Heyun’s words were full of disappointment, ”I thought there was still a chance no matter what.”

”If a person is willing to give you a chance, then there’s always a possibility, but if they’re not willing, no amount of persuasion will help.”

”I called you just to ask how you are.”

”What else can I be? She neither can eat me nor kill me, I still have to eat and sleep as usual.”

”Alright then, you’re fine, I’m hanging up,” said Wei Heyun.

”Okay.”

The call ended.

Zhou Yun tucked her phone under the pillow, yawned lazily, and prepared to get some more sleep.

”Putting your phone under the pillow has high radiation,” Song Chi’s voice suddenly came from beside her.

Zhou Yun was so startled that she sprang up from the bed.

Song Chi was lying next to her, his face just waking up, sharp and clear, and his eyes bright as springs.

A smile lingered on his lips.

She was fully awake now.

What happened last night... what happened last night?

Zhou Yun’s mind blanked for a few seconds before she regained her senses, her face struck by thunderous shock.

She remembered Song Chi embracing her, their lips meeting in a kiss, and then being affectionate for a while.

He asked if she wanted a drink. She said yes.

So, they drank a bit more.

And then... there was no after that, the blurry images flashed in Zhou Yun’s mind and were abruptly cut off as her face blushed crimson.

Song Chi grabbed Zhou Yun’s wrist, ”Who called you this early in the morning?”

”Wei Heyun.” she murmured.

Song Chi frowned, surprised by the name.

”What did he call you for?”

Zhou Yun said, ”To apologize, wait, now is not the time to talk about this, we—”

Song Chi suddenly pulled her into his arms, his other hand on her back.

Kissing.

Another dizzying whirl.

”Remember anything now?” Song Chi asked with a smile.

Zhou Yun grabbed a pillow and buried Song Chi’s head in it.

”Go to hell!” Zhou Yun’s face turned red.

Song Chi’s laughter echoed from under the pillow.

This was certainly a substantial progress, no, it was a sudden rapid progression.

However, this was absolutely not in Zhou Yun’s plan.

Zhou Yun was completely engulfed in confusion, her face clueless, her heart in turmoil. She had thought about it properly; they should first develop their careers, and only when they reached a certain level, they could confidently hold hands. But what was this situation now? Could she still proudly tell those reporters that the two of them were just friends?

Fart.

She has no face to say it out loud.

Zhou Yun was sitting on the sofa in a daze while Song Chi had already made himself at home, taking out two eggs and a box of frozen dumplings from the refrigerator to make breakfast.

It was a sunny day. The morning sunlight was clear, streaming through the window, spreading warmth generously. During the summer, with the air conditioning on inside, the scene felt cozy.

But Zhou Yun was not in the mood to enjoy this coziness.

Not until Song Chi finished making breakfast and brought it over to her.

”Let’s eat breakfast first, then be shocked,” Song Chi said.

Zhou Yun covered her face with one hand and said, ”Just go, I don’t want to see you right now.”

”Are you sure you won’t think about this anymore once I leave?” Song Chi said teasingly.

How could I not think about it. Zhou Yun wordlessly rolled her eyes internally.

Suddenly, Song Chi leaned in and kissed Zhou Yun’s cheek, ”Be good, eat your breakfast first.”

Zhou Yun picked up a fork, glancing sideways at him, ”If you call me ’good’ one more time, I’ll stuff this fork in your mouth.”

Song Chi: ”...”

Zhou Yun stabbed a dumpling with her fork, put it in her mouth, and chewed fiercely.

Song Chi left at eight.

After he left, Zhou Yun truly breathed a sigh of relief.

Good, he left, now she could carefully sort out what exactly had happened.

But, what is there to sort out? What’s there to be sorted?

Zhou Yun whimpered, collapsing on the sofa.

”Zhou Yun, Zhou Yun, you’ve been so dazzled by lust, weren’t you supposed to focus on your career first?”

She lay lifeless on the sofa for an hour. At nine, Zheng Xiaojue arrived.

Zheng Xiaojue saw Zhou Yun lying on the sofa while still holding the breakfast she bought.

”Sister Xiao Yun, get up, it’s time for breakfast.”

Zhou Yun shook her head and said, ”I’m not eating, I already ate.”

Zheng Xiaojue surprised, ”You already ate? What should I do with all this food I bought?”

”You eat,” Zhou Yun said.

Zheng Xiaojue oh-ed.

Suddenly, Zheng Xiaojue’s eyes fixed, looking at Zhou Yun’s neck, she said, ”My goodness, did a mosquito get in? How did it bite such a huge bump?”

Zhou Yun was still confused and asked, ”What bump?”

Zheng Xiaojue walked towards her, ”Look, on your neck, it’s huge!”

Zhou Yun snapped to her senses, jumped up like a started carp, ”What? I’ll go look!”

She guiltily jumped to the floor, dashing into the room as Zheng Xiaojue was coming from the opposite side.

Zheng Xiaojue thought, Sister Xiao Yun is indeed so concerned about her appearance, as soon as she heard there’s a bump on her neck, she instantly went to check it out.

At noon, Zhou Yun and Zheng Xiaojue went out.

In the midst of summer, yet Zhou Yun wore a collared shirt and even tied a silk scarf around her neck.

Zheng Xiaojue saw it, shocked, and asked, ”Sister Xiao Yun, why are you tying a scarf around your neck in this hot weather?”

”It’s called fashion,” Zhou Yun said coolly with sunglasses on, ”Learn from it.”

Zheng Xiaojue oh-ed, thinking to herself that fashion really is a hassle, she would rather not touch it.

In the car, Xiao Cao also asked in surprise, ”Sister Xiao Yun, why are you wrapping a scarf around your neck in the summer heat?”

”What scarf, this is a silk scarf! It’s fashion!” Zhou Yun emphasized firmly.

Xiao Cao: ”...Alright.”

Zheng Xiaojue and Xiao Cao exchanged glances, seeing in each other’s eyes a mutual understanding: This fashion is indeed perplexing.

Zhou Yun certainly saw their looks, but she arrogantly raised her chin, stubbornly maintaining her fashionable persona.
