The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 301: Chapter 301 Aren’t you afraid your wife will see this?_1

”Beckham Miller is dead, everything is going according to plan.”

Carson Flores lounged lazily in bed, holding his phone and sending a message to the small group.

Remy Johnston: ???

Kylan Martinez: ???

Jabari Fitzgerald: Carson, what are you joking about?

Perhaps because Remy Johnston, Kylan Martinez, and Carson had developed a certain personal relationship, the Johnston Family and the Martinez Family had sent Remy and Kylan, respectively, to represent them. Seeing this, Shiloh Fitzgerald also had his nephew, Jabari Fitzgerald, the heir of the Fitzgerald Family, join their small group of three to facilitate communication.

Carson didn’t bother with small talk and uploaded a photo directly—the disheveled state of Beckham Miller embedded in a car after he was taken out.

There was a brief silence in the chat, obviously, they were seeking confirmation, as none of them knew Beckham Miller personally.

Jabari Fitzgerald: I’ve confirmed it, it’s definitely Beckham Miller. Where is this? How did you do it?

Carson Flores: Seashore, yeah, I had people track Beckham Miller’s whereabouts and found out he had just booked a flight back to the country, I waited for him at the airport, then ambushed him on the way and took him out.

Kylan Martinez: That’s too much of a coincidence! We were just talking about him yesterday, and he came back at night!

Carson Flores: You were worried about him, and obviously, the Miller Family wanted to send him to kill me. We all thought alike. Speaking of which, I should thank the Fitzgerald Family for the heads-up. Otherwise, not knowing about this guy, I would have been at a disadvantage.

Jabari Fitzgerald: My father said, with Beckham Miller dead, there’s nothing to worry about. Proceed with the plan as we discussed.

Kylan Martinez: The Martinez Family has no objections.

Remy Johnston: Let’s proceed with the plan!

Carson Flores deleted the record, got out of bed, washed up, then bought some buns to eat on his way to work.

Sitting in the security booth, Carson Flores stared out the window, lost in thought.

It would be Mid-Autumn Festival in two days. The Miller Family probably wouldn’t make any major moves against him by then, right? Even if they planned to attack him openly, wouldn’t they have to wait until all their top fighters were assembled?

Just with Peter Miller and the other two Grandmasters, it wasn’t realistic for them to try to surround and kill him, unless they planned to use sheer numbers to wear him down.

With all sides joining forces, the Miller Family was doomed this time.

Carson Flores wondered what expression Oscar Miller would have on his face then.

Just as Carson Flores was daydreaming, Augustus Vasquez at the entrance suddenly had an odd look on his face, glancing at Carson but not saying a word.

As Carson was lost in thought, he suddenly noticed the light dimming before him. Instinctively looking up, he saw Camille Rhodes leaning on the window of the security booth, her large eyes filled with amusement, staring straight at him.

”Are you a ghost, walking without making a sound?”

Camille Rhodes laughed, ”What are you thinking about? You’re so absorbed in it. Even if I carried the factory away on my back, you wouldn’t notice.”

Carson Flores couldn’t help but chuckle, ”Go ahead and carry it, if you can take it away, it’s all yours.”

Camille Rhodes smiled and said, ”Wanna have dinner together tonight?”

Carson Flores asked, ”Where at?”

Camille Rhodes grinned, ”I know a place that serves Sichuan peppercorn fish, it’s really delicious. How about fish for dinner?”

Carson Flores asked, ”Where is it, in the busy district?”

Camille Rhodes asked curiously, ”It’s a bit out of the way, a small place. Why, you won’t eat if it’s not in the busy area?”

Carson replied frankly, ”I can eat anything, but I’m afraid of getting killed in a secluded place.”

Camille Rhodes was taken aback, then understanding something, she lowered her voice, ”Are you worried about the Miller Family?”

Carson Flores laughed, ”The Miller Family sent three Grandmasters after me before, and I managed to escape. Yesterday, I repaid the favor by taking out Beckham Miller, their Grandmaster hitman who had returned from overseas. The Miller Family might be gearing up to overpower and take me out now. I can’t risk going somewhere secluded. Aren’t you afraid of getting involved by being with me?”

Camille Rhodes’s eyes widened in shock, ”You took down a Grandmaster from the Miller Family?”

Carson Flores laughed, ”Are you surprised to see me sitting here safely, not dead at the hands of the Miller Family?”

Camille Rhodes shook her head, her eyes lit with excitement, ”No, I am in awe of you! The three Grandmasters from the Miller Family couldn’t touch you, and you even took out one of them. Doesn’t that mean the Millers hate you to the bone now but can’t lay a finger on you?”

Carson Flores shook his head, ”Who doesn’t have a few friends? The roots of the Miller Family run deep; they can still invite several Grandmasters. Hence, I’d better keep a low profile and not give them a chance to strike. Of course, if they come here directly, I’ll turn tail and run, and quit the security job, too.”

Camille Rhodes laughed, ”And here you are daydreaming, I came right up to you and you didn’t even notice.”

Carson pointed to Augustus Vasquez not far away, ”It’s because he recognizes you and knows you’re my friend, so he didn’t say anything.”

Camille Rhodes bit her lip, ”Forget about the Sichuan peppercorn fish, then. What should we eat? I’m already here; you can’t send me back. Besides, if you really run into danger while with me, you can use me as a hostage. The Millers wouldn’t dare kill me; otherwise, they’d make an enemy of the Rhodes Family out of nowhere...”

Carson pointed to the busy street nearby, ”There’s plenty of food around here. I’ll treat you to street food, will the young miss eat it?”

Camille Rhodes’s eyes sparkled, ”Sure, let’s eat. But we’ll eat right by the door. Aren’t you afraid your wife will see you? You’re really brave...”
