The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 305: Chapter 305 You’re So Silly and Cute......_1

Seize the opportunity?

Before Carson Flores could ask, Camille Rhodes had already gone straight into the bathroom and then closed the room door.

Worried about Shirley Miller outside who had been drinking, he wiped his mouth and then headed out.

Shirley Miller was indeed a bit drunk. She wasn’t to the point of being unconscious but was clearly tipsy and a bit high, resting her chin in one hand while gazing at him with a smile completely mismatched with her usual demeanor.

Carson Flores sat down next to Shirley Miller, ”How are you feeling, dizzy?”

Shirley Miller answered irrelevantly, ”Camille can really hold her liquor. I wanted to get her drunk, but I ended up not being able to keep up...”

Carson Flores widened his eyes, ”You’re competing in drinking just to get her drunk?”

Shirley Miller looked at Carson Flores, ”She also wanted to get me drunk, right?”

At a loss for words, Carson Flores replied helplessly, ”So the two of you were chatting so happily just to get each other drunk?”

Shirley Miller shook her head, ”Having a good chat and wanting to get each other drunk are not conflicting. When you drink with your friends, you also want them to get drunk, but you are definitely happy, right?”

Carson Flores stared at Shirley Miller, struggling for words, ”Shouldn’t you and she, um, be at daggers drawn, how come it feels so relaxed and happy?”

Shirley Miller looked at Carson Flores and bit her lip, suddenly falling silent.

Carson Flores had just casually asked. When she didn’t respond, he didn’t press further. Just then, Camille Rhodes came out, so he stood up, ”Let’s go.”

Shirley Miller got up but wobbled, nearly falling over. Carson’s quick reflexes allowed him to grab her arm.

Shirley Miller instinctively pulled her hand back, and this scene was caught precisely by Camille Rhodes who had just walked out. The subtlety in Camille’s eyes deepened.

Seeing that peculiar look in Camille’s eyes, Carson suddenly realized.

The words Camille said to him earlier were clearly suggesting he do something while Shirley Miller was drunk tonight!

Did she see through that he and Shirley Miller weren’t really husband and wife?

Carson wasn’t too surprised. After all, Camille had investigated his hotel stays and naturally knew that he and Shirley Miller had separate rooms. Plus, given the subtle interactions between him and Shirley Miller, it wasn’t strange she could guess the truth.

Carson couldn’t understand Camille’s thoughts. If she liked him, shouldn’t she be trying to break him and Shirley Miller up? Why did it feel like she was actually trying to bring them closer together?

He couldn’t figure it out!

Camille’s bodyguard had already driven the car over and opened the door. Camille walked up to Shirley Miller and hugged her.

”Mary, I’m leaving, let’s hang out again soon.”

Shirley Miller paused for a moment, then hugged Camille back powerfully, ”Sure, take care on your way back.”

Camille hummed a response, her eyes twinkling as she looked at Carson Flores, ”I won’t intrude on your couple’s time any longer. You live close by, it’s perfect for a slow walk back, strolling along the road. Okay, I’m off.”

Camille left carefreely in her car, and Carson withdrew his gaze, ”Should I call for a cab?”

Shirley Miller blinked, ”It’s not far, shall we walk back?”

Carson laughed, ”Really walk?”

Shirley Miller hummed affirmatively, ”Really walk, is that okay?”

”Of course, it’s okay. Hold onto my arm a bit, I’m afraid you’ll fall.”

”Hmm.”

Shirley Miller looped her arm through Carson’s, leaning on him lightly as they walked along the road to the hotel.

Shirley Miller was silent, just quietly leaning on Carson and walking peacefully.

After walking a while, Shirley Miller rubbed her temples, ”I haven’t drunk like this in many years.”

Carson laughed, ”I always thought you had a low tolerance.”

Shirley Miller shook her head, ”Actually, I can hold my liquor pretty well, but usually I control myself, not drinking much, and I’m also afraid of drinking too much.”

Carson asked, ”Why did you drink so much today? It couldn’t really be love at first sight, could it?”

Shirley Miller replied, ”She really helped me out last time. Besides, I couldn’t show weakness. I originally wanted to get her drunk and ask if she liked you. It turns out I might be a bit more drunk...”

Carson was taken aback, she wanted to get her drunk to ask if she liked him?

Shirley Miller glanced at Carson Flores, smiling as she leaned closer to him, ”Don’t look like that. I was just asking. I won’t interfere with you, I... I just don’t want you to dive in without understanding, women can be very deceptive when seducing, especially beautiful women...”

Dive in?

What does that mean?

Guarding me?

Carson’s expression turned bizarre; what on earth was this woman always thinking about?

”You’re saying this, but you are still my wife...”

Shirley Miller pursed her lips, ”That’s going to change soon anyway. You’ve helped me so much, saved my life, saved the company. I wanted to do something for you too, I hope you can be happy...”

Shirley Miller’s voice got quieter and quieter but suddenly she couldn’t continue, her eyes becoming inexplicably red. She quickly lowered her head to avoid Carson’s gaze.

Carson was deeply moved, stopped in his tracks, turned around, and embraced Shirley Miller.

”You really are adorably foolish...”
