The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 308: Chapter 308: Where Has Your Dominance Over Me Gone?_1

”Thank you for taking care of me last night.”

Shirley Miller said apologetically, ”I overestimated my alcohol tolerance...”

Carson Flores laughed, ”People who drink, who hasn’t gotten drunk a few times in their life? Sometimes, it’s good to get thoroughly drunk. It’s tough to keep some things bottled up inside.”

Shirley Miller turned to the side, reaching down to the ground to pick up her discarded clothes, leaving Carson Flores with a view of her smooth and flawless back.

”I smell like alcohol; I’m going to take a shower first.”

Carson Flores smiled, ”Your room card isn’t on you, otherwise I wouldn’t have brought you back to my room. If you don’t mind, just shower here, there’s a bathrobe in the closet.”

Shirley Miller hummed in response without any coyness, ”Okay, the card is in my bag, I forgot to take it when I got out of the car. I’ll send a message to Lydia Howell first.”

Shirley Miller entered the bathroom, and the sound of water soon followed.

Carson Flores shook his arm, which had gone numb from Shirley Miller using it as a pillow all night, causing a tingling sensation due to poor circulation.

Shirley Miller’s reaction this morning was unexpectedly calm.

There was no panic-stricken screaming, no embarrassment; even after her dignity had somewhat fallen, she didn’t deliberately cover herself. Even the action of picking up her clothes was natural, an interaction that seemed like that of an old married couple.

Previously, Carson Flores had not had any intimate contact with Shirley Miller, with the only exception being an accident. He had just embraced and kissed her on the cheek, but now their relationship had taken a significant step forward.

Carson Flores, wearing only a pair of shorts and bare-chested, watched as Shirley Miller, who still had one piece of clothing left, had drowsily tugged and thrown it away before cuddling up with him for the night, their skin in close contact, a picture of intimacy.

Carson Flores moved his legs and smiled wryly. He was glad he had been drunk and sleepy; otherwise, it would’ve been unbearable all night long.

Only the devil knew how uncomfortable Carson Flores felt upon waking up in the morning, trying not to move to avoid waking Shirley Miller.

He felt like he was about to explode!

What was Shirley Miller thinking?

What exactly was the situation between him and Shirley Miller?

They would discuss it later.

Thinking too much now was useless; he would just go with the flow.

Shirley Miller, after her shower and dressed in a bathrobe, picked up her phone and glanced at it.

”Lydia Howell is in my room already, I’m going over now. I’ll bring the bathrobe back to you later.”

”Okay!”

Shirley Miller, wearing the bathrobe and holding her clothes, returned next door. Carson Flores caught a glimpse of the lace edge among the pile of clothes, feeling another subtle wave of emotion.

Take a shower!

Calm down, stay calm!

About half an hour later, Shirley Miller returned with the bathrobe, now dressed in a new outfit, her makeup done, and her hair done up, looking fresh and professional.

She had reverted to the cool, intelligent female CEO. Setting down the bathrobe, Shirley Miller smiled, ”I’m off to work. Want to come along?”

Carson Flores smiled, ”You go ahead.”

Shirley Miller nodded, ”Alright.”

Shirley Miller walked away lightly. Lydia Howell stood at the doorway, smiling at Carson Flores with an enigmatic gaze.

This woman!

He always felt like she was watching a play!

Carson Flores took his time getting ready to go to work, spent the day leisurely at the security booth, and as he was about to finish his shift and was writing in the logbook, he heard footsteps. Looking up, he saw Camille Rhodes coming towards him, her beautiful smiling face in view.

”What are you doing here again? You, a young miss, should be going to shopping malls, buying handbags, attending upscale gatherings. Why bother coming to watch a security guard work all day? Aren’t you tired?”

Camille Rhodes chuckled, ”If the security guard is handsome enough, then it’s not tiring!”

Carson Flores lazily asked, ”What is it today?”

Camille Rhodes smiled, ”Well, we didn’t finish our business yesterday, so we have to make up for it today. What, did you eat your fill last night and now you’re satisfied and not interested?”

Carson Flores was speechless, ”What filled up? I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

”Pretending!”

Camille Rhodes huffed, ”What, even after I’ve helped you to this extent, you still haven’t sealed the deal?”

Camille Rhodes stared straight at Carson Flores’s face. Seeing a hint of discomfort on his face, she burst out laughing, ”Hey, what’s up with you? I helped you get her drunk, and you still couldn’t manage? Where’s the dominance you had when you conquered me? Man up! If once isn’t enough, try twice; there’s no woman that can’t be won over.”

Augustus Vasquez stood by with a weird expression and a complex look in his eyes. His view of the situation was changing.

Carson Flores was helpless; this woman was too bold, saying whatever she pleased and not caring at all.

”Could you stop talking?”

Camille Rhodes replied with a giggle, ”Alright, I’ll keep quiet. I’ll wait for you to finish work.”

”Fine, please wait somewhere else, out of sight.”

Camille Rhodes responded cheerily, ”Got it, don’t worry. I’ll make sure she doesn’t see me today. Otherwise, she might overthink.”

Finally off work, Carson Flores changed clothes and got into Camille Rhodes’s car.

”Let’s go. Find a place to eat, but don’t pick somewhere too remote.”

”Okay!”

The car drove a few kilometers to a large restaurant, where they took a private room.

After sitting down in the private room, Camille Rhodes smiled, ”Do you plan to keep this up, hiding in the downtown area, too scared to go somewhere more secluded?”
