Chapter 319: Chapter 319 Who Said I Killed Your Father?_1

”Yes.”

Carson Flores stared at Peter Miller’s face, sneering, ”Now you understand why I want to deal with the Miller Family, right?”

Peter Miller’s expression cleared, ”You want to avenge your father?”

Carson Flores nodded, ”Yes, you killed my father, and naturally, I must make you pay the price!”

Carson Flores wasn’t sure whether Peter Miller had killed his father, but that didn’t hinder him from placing the blame on him first.

If he had indeed killed his father, then he would subconsciously think that Carson knew the truth and wouldn’t refute it. If he hadn’t done so, he would naturally be in a hurry to prove his innocence, hoping to escape retribution.

Peter Miller was stunned, ”Who said I killed your father?”

Carson’s heart skipped a beat, a hint of joy surging forth; Peter’s astonished expression seemed natural, revealing that he was indeed very surprised.

Carson sneered, ”If you don’t want people to know, you shouldn’t have done it in the first place. You think no one knows, but someone saw the whole process in secret...”

Peter Miller yelled angrily, ”Who said that? Let him confront me. The Miller Family is already in such a state; if it really was me, I would admit it. But I won’t accept this slander... Was it Johnny Gross from the Yueyu Sect who said this?”

Johnny Gross from the Yueyu Sect?

Carson Flores, without changing his countenance, sneered, ”What, trying to shift the blame?”

”I’m not shifting any fucking blame!”

Peter Miller raged, ”I know that even if I don’t die today, I won’t be able to save my strength. It’s come to this, I have nothing to fear. If it really were me who killed Westin, I would only lament that retribution is inexorable or regret that I had not eradicated the roots. But I truly did not kill your father, I won’t carry this false charge.”

Peter Miller spoke with resentment, ”The Heaven’s Prophecy jade was originally the prize for our five families, and it had nothing to do with your father. Your father suddenly appeared and put forth a stake to join our fight. According to our rules, we were greedy for the stake your father offered and felt that he, being young, couldn’t be too strong, so we agreed to let him join.”

”We underestimated your father. He was very strong, defeating the experts from our five families. We did not want him to take the Heaven’s Prophecy jade, so we broke the contract and refused to acknowledge the outcome. We thought that with the masters from the five families present, he wouldn’t dare do anything, but unexpectedly, he fought fiercely to take it by force!”

”We all fought fiercely, and our five families suffered many casualties. Since then, it wasn’t just about the Heaven’s Prophecy jade anymore; it became a mortal feud. Your father broke through with the Heaven’s Prophecy jade, and we gave chase. Along the way, your father set up diversions, and we had to split our forces to pursue.”

”I was with Johnny Gross from the Yueyu Sect. We caught up with your father and fought again. Your father was injured and couldn’t beat us, so he was seriously wounded by us once more. He jumped into the lake behind Jiuhua Mountain. We couldn’t determine which way he had escaped to, so Johnny Gross and I descended the mountain each in one direction.”

”I chased to the left. After a search and finding no trace, I turned back to pursue the right side. But I couldn’t find your father, not even Johnny Gross. When I returned, I didn’t find him either, and as the people from Yueyu Sect hurriedly left, no one else noticed this apart from me.”

”It wasn’t until the next day that I got in touch with Johnny Gross. He told me he hadn’t caught anyone and had lost his cell phone in the lake, which is why he had no contact on that day. But, if someone did find your father, Johnny Gross was the only possibility, as I didn’t find anyone. ”

”Johnny Gross’s disappearance that day was very strange, and the Yueyu Sect’s hasty departure was also quite odd. I think Johnny Gross lied to me, but he accuses me of lying. In the end, there’s no evidence, so the matter ended without conclusion. If you say someone saw me kill your father, then this person could only be Johnny Gross because that’s the lie he concocted, trying to throw the blame onto me.”

Carson Flores didn’t answer but asked, ”After that day, have you never heard any more news about my father?”

Peter Miller shook his head, ”No, I have always suspected that Johnny Gross killed your father and took the Heaven’s Prophecy jade, keeping silent about it secretly. However, the Heaven’s Prophecy jade is in your hands, not taken by Johnny Gross. Whether what Johnny Gross said is true and what exactly happened to your father afterwards, I don’t know.”

Carson Flores nodded, ”I will go and seek the truth from him.”

Peter Miller looked at Carson Flores with a glimmer of hope, ”Since I’m not your father’s murderer, then there isn’t such a deep enmity between you and our Miller Family...”

Carson Flores’s eyes held scorn as he looked at Peter Miller, ”Oscar Miller tried to kill me several times, and you also ambushed me. To say there’s no enmity at this point... If it were you who had won now, and I said I had no grievances with the Miller Family, think about how you would respond to me, how you would treat me?”

Peter Miller had nothing to say, the last glimmer of light in his eyes also disappeared.

”Fine, the victor is king, the loser an outlaw. If you’re going to kill me, just do it!”

Carson Flores stared coldly at Peter Miller, without the slightest hesitation, and landed a punch.
