The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 335: Chapter 335: I’m Not Asking for Your Opinion_1

Edgar Harrison looked up at Carson Flores, who towered over him with a condescending gaze, feeling a chill in his heart.

It’s over.

As a Grandmaster and with the backing of the Harrison Family, he had always thrown his weight around Seashore. Now, he had finally kicked an iron plate that was too hot to handle.

He had hoped that by revealing the identity of his employer quickly, the other party would let him off the hook. However, that hope had obviously failed.

Carson Flores was clearly not a magnanimous person, nor would he let the matter go just because Edgar said a few soft words.

”I’m inferior in skill, I admit defeat. Whether you want to kill or slash me, you decide,” Edgar said, his tone slightly weaker yet still not completely submissive, as the Harrison Family had a certain level of confidence from their long establishment in Seashore.

Carson Flores sneered, ”Decide? What’s there to decide? If I kill you, then this matter will be settled!”

Edgar Harrison’s pupils suddenly contracted. ”Even if I was blind and offended you, you didn’t suffer any harm. There’s no need to be so ruthless, right?”

Carson Flores mocked, ”When it’s time to harm others, strength talks. You lose and now start spouting about not being ruthless? Is this how your Harrison Family operates?”

Edgar’s face turned red. As a member of the Harrison Family and a Grandmaster, he was a prominent figure in Seashore, unchallenged and powerful. When had he ever suffered such humiliation?

But he had to bear the humiliation—after all, wasn’t it he who caused this mess?

Edgar said somberly, ”If you kill me, you will only make an enemy out of the Harrison Family and gain nothing. Wouldn’t it be better to settle this in another way, with me offering compensation?”

”The Harrison Family?”

Carson laughed, ”If I kill you, do you think the Harrison Family will dare to even make a peep for you? Stop deceiving yourself. Now, I’ll give you three seconds to kneel. Otherwise, you won’t need to... One!”

Kneel?

Edgar’s face turned even redder. With eyes filled with anger, he glared fiercely at Carson Flores, ”A gentleman prefers death to humiliation. Don’t go too far!”

Carson’s mouth curled up slightly. ”Two.”

Edgar’s mouth trembled, and his eyes revealed a fierce struggle.

Could Carson really kill him?

The four bodies on the ground were proof of Carson’s ruthlessness. Moreover, Carson’s strength was indeed enough to disregard both Edgar and the Harrison Family.

If he killed Edgar, it was true that the Harrison Family might not dare to avenge him. They could even proactively apologize to appease Carson’s wrath!

Who asked Edgar to go after a Great Grandmaster on his own accord?

”Three!”

Carson coldly spat out the last number, raised his hand without another word.

A wave of cold sweat ran down Edgar’s back, as fear in that moment overpowered all his dignity and pride.

He swiftly rolled over and kneeled neatly before Carson Flores, shouting loudly, ”Mr. Flores, I was wrong. I apologize to you, please forgive me!”

Since he had already kneeled and borne the shame, Edgar didn’t care to go all the way to the bottom.

Looking at Edgar kneeling on the ground, Carson sneered, ”See? You still knelt in the end. All that nonsense, you’re just afraid of dying, aren’t you?”

Edgar was humiliated again, yet he had no retort.

Who isn’t afraid of dying?

The most crucial point was that this whole affair was originally none of his business. He was just helping out. If he ended up losing his life over this, wouldn’t it be too unjust?

Carson spoke calmly, ”Since you’ve kneeled, I’ll give you a chance to live...”

A flicker of hope arose in Edgar’s heart, but before he could speak, the second half of Carson’s sentence made his face turn pale again.

”Santino Vasquez reached out to you to deal with me, but now your life is in my hands. You go and kill Santino Vasquez, and you can live!”

Edgar’s face turned ashen; killing Santino Vasquez meant making an irreconcilable enemy out of the Vasquez Family, and he would still meet certain death.

”If I kill Santino Vasquez, I’m still walking a dead-end road...”

Carson said indifferently, ”You seem to be mistaken. I’m not discussing with you. Either kill Santino Vasquez and live, or die right now.”

Edgar’s mind raced. ”Fine, I’ll do it!”

Carson walked behind the kneeling Edgar and suddenly pressed a few points on his back.

Edgar startled. ”What are you doing?”

Carson answered flatly, ”Don’t think I don’t know what’s on your mind. Planning to run as soon as you leave here, right? You might think that given my character, I wouldn’t implicate your family’s innocent members. The technique I just used on you is the Three Yin Meridian Severing Hand. Every midnight, your meridians will contract and your blood flow will reverse. It’s quite a feeling. If you plan to run, then you’ll get to experience it.”

Edgar went pale, a cultivator and Grandmaster himself, he had certainly heard of the Three Yin Meridian Severing Hand, but he hadn’t expected Carson to actually use it.

Done for!

This time, he had truly dug his own grave.

Edgar clenched his teeth. ”I’m on my way!”

Edgar turned and left. Carson glanced at Brendan Stein, standing there like a quail, and nodded toward the several bodies on the ground. ”Don’t just stand there; get someone to take your brothers away. They’re an eyesore...”
