The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 250: Chapter 250: You’re Too Merciful for Just Breaking One Leg!_1

Carson Flores certainly wasn’t crazy, but Chaim Stout and the guy on the ground were about to lose it.

Chaim Stout was wallowing in self-pity, ”Why the hell did I provoke him? Did a donkey kick my head?”

The man on the ground was cursing Chaim Stout furiously in his heart, ”You jerk, you’ve dug a massive hole for me, one big enough to bury my whole family!”

Facing a surprised Kylie Martinez, Carson Flores smiled and said, ”Miss Martinez, don’t you have one or two simple friends? The kind that doesn’t involve any interests, where anything you do together feels comfortable, even if it’s just lying around doing nothing, still very pleasant friends?”

Kylie Martinez was stunned for a moment, and suddenly didn’t know how to respond to Carson Flores.

Does she?

Though Kylie Martinez had many friends, they were essentially of two types: those who befriended her for her status and those who did so for her beauty. True friends, unrelated to interests or status, seemed to elude her completely.

Kylie Martinez thought about how Carson Flores and Camille Rhodes interacted during their meal. Carson Flores was very casual with Camille Rhodes, without Wayne Singleton’s deliberate closeness or subtle flattery. He would joke with Camille Rhodes, banter with her pointedly, and not back down.

If Carson Flores had been a scion of a rich family, this pattern of interaction would seem normal, but Carson Flores was just a security guard!

For some reason, deep down, Kylie Martinez felt a tinge of envy, which irritated her a bit. She huffed, ”If you were just a security guard and not a Cultivator with considerable strength, you wouldn’t even qualify to be friends with Camille Rhodes, nor would she treat you the way she does now.”

Carson Flores just chuckled, ”You have a point, let’s just drop the question then. Speaking of which, about this situation... What does Miss Martinez plan to do about it?”

Locking eyes with Carson Flores, Kylie Martinez said, ”Although there is a reason for everything, he’s part of my crew. By hitting him, it’s as if you’ve slapped my face. With so many people watching, I’ve lost face. What do you think should be done now?”

Carson Flores responded with a smile, ”It’s simple, he tried to hit me, so I hit him back. It’s only fair. And it’s not just because he’s your subordinate. If anyone from the Martinez Family laid a hand on me, they would have ended up with the same result!”

Acutely accustomed to being held in high regard, Kylie Martinez couldn’t bear Carson Flores’s unwillingness to say even a word of appeasement, and his assertive attitude made her feel uncomfortable. Coupled with Carson Flores’s earlier rejection and indifference toward her, she felt quite displeased and her eyes flashed with anger, ”You’ve got quite the nerve!”

Carson Flores just smiled, ”Miss Martinez, I’m only speaking the truth.”

Grinding her teeth, Kylie Martinez was about to speak when suddenly a man’s voice called out nearby, ”Kylie?”

Turning her head, Kylie Martinez responded, ”Brother, over here.”

Footsteps were heard, and a man in his thirties appeared around the corner. He was tall, wearing a black shirt, casual trousers, and his steps were steady.

”What are you hiding here for?”

Kylie Martinez replied, ”Xiaojun was picking a fight for someone else and ended up with a broken leg. I’m dealing with it here.”

The man in the shirt, who was naturally the master of the place, one of the Four Young Masters of Seashore City, Kylan Martinez, Kylie Martinez’s brother, casually scanned the group.

”Oh, how are you handling it?”

Rather than answering, Kylie Martinez said, ”He’s a friend of Camille Rhodes.”

”Camille Rhodes?”

Kylan Martinez frowned slightly, ”Since he’s her friend, then let’s give her some respect and not pursue the matter. Send your guy to the hospital, cover all expenses, and let’s consider the matter closed.”

Kylie Martinez nodded, ”Okay, as you wish.”

Kylan Martinez gave Carson Flores a cold look without saying a word, then turned and said, ”Let’s go, Mr. Lu will be arriving soon, and I still need you to cheer for me.”

”Sure!”

Kylie Martinez turned to Chaim Stout and ordered, ”You take him to the hospital.”

Relieved, Chaim Stout readily agreed, ”Yes, yes, I’ll take him right away!”

Chaim Stout couldn’t wait to just vanish into thin air, but without the other’s word, he dared not leave. Now hearing Kylie Martinez tell him to take his injured friend to the hospital, he finally sighed with relief.

Yet he had only taken one step before he could move no further.

Carson Flores was blocking his path, smiling faintly, ”You sent someone to trouble me, and now the person you sent has a broken leg. As the instigator, just walking away doesn’t seem right, does it?”

Heart racing once again, Chaim Stout retorted, ”But Miss Martinez ordered it.”

Carson Flores chuckled without a word, his smile carrying multiple meanings.

Observing this, Kylan Martinez remarked, ”The wise understand the times. You’ve hit someone from the Martinez Family, and we aren’t pursuing it. You should be grateful, not greedy. We can give face to Camille Rhodes, but we can also choose not to.”

”No need to give me face. Just let your bodyguard take care of him. I’ve been wanting to fix him up for a long time. It’s just that I couldn’t beat him,” Camille Rhodes’s voice rang out in the night, as if she were a specter emerging silently from the darkness, then she sashayed over on light feet, coming to stand beside Carson Flores, ”You only broke one of his legs. You’re too kind, aren’t you?”
