The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 210: Chapter 210: Going to Work, It’s Not Like Selling Your Life_1

The room fell silent.

Eithan Fuentes and his companions looked at Carson Flores with shock and disbelief.

Carson Flores had effortlessly taken down more than ten people, and he was completely unharmed!

He was quite the fighter.

Where did he come from?

I hadn’t heard about such a tough guy in the security department before.

Shirley Miller’s face was calm, but her eyes couldn’t hide the happiness within.

Last time I saw Carson Flores take action, the blood and death made the scene incredibly thrilling and terrifying, with no beauty to it. Now, watching him casually take down these ten-odd riffraff in broad daylight, he looked so cool!

Davis Bernard was also stunned, his eyes blazing with excitement. So dominant!

I just randomly recruited such a fellow; with this kind of ability, no wonder he does not have the same cautiousness as the other security guards, but instead carries a casual confidence.

Harry Reid’s head was broken, his arm was shattered, his body had taken countless blows from sticks, and he was even cut at the waist by a subordinate’s dagger, looking utterly miserable.

Harry Reid lay on the ground, looking up at Carson Flores above him, gritted his teeth, and said stubbornly, ”Kid, you can fight, just you wait.”

Carson Flores laughed, ”I’m waiting, go ahead and make the call.”

Harry Reid took out his cell phone while staring fiercely at Carson Flores and dialed a number, ”Boss, we’re done for... A guy from the pharmaceutical factory’s security, he can really fight, we all went down... Yes, at the entrance of the pharmaceutical factory... Okay, boss!”

Harry Reid ended the call, staring at Carson Flores with a venomous gaze, ”Kid, just wait, Boss Liao is on his way with people. I hope you can still fight later!”

Carson Flores casually tossed aside the baseball bat, took out a cigarette, passed one to Davis Bernard, then lit his own and exhaled a puff of smoke, smiling, ”Alright, I’ll wait. It’s a good opportunity to discuss this protection money issue with him.”

Davis Bernard took the cigarette, his expression somewhat complex, ”You didn’t tell me the truth before, did you? Such skills can’t be trained in an ordinary army.”

Carson Flores laughed, ”I learned a few moves from an elder when I was young.”

Davis Bernard suddenly understood, walked up to Carson Flores, and whispered, ”Harry Reid’s boss is the local gang leader around here, involved in many shady dealings. He has both men and money. With a single call, he can easily summon dozens of people. The people coming later won’t be few. No hero can withstand so many, so if the situation turns bad, just run and don’t come back.”

Carson Flores turned, gave a smile, and said, ”Chief, that’s really nice of you.”

Davis Bernard sighed, ”After all, you call me chief, so I can’t let you down. Since you’re not a local, if you run, they won’t be able to touch you after you leave here.”

Carson Flores asked, ”What about you?”

Davis Bernard grinned, ”You beat everyone up, didn’t you? I just helped a bit. It’s no big deal.”

Carson Flores chuckled, ”Alright, if things go south, I’ll make a run for it.”

Davis Bernard hummed a response, took a drag of his cigarette, seeming somewhat uneasy, and warned again, ”Don’t take my words as wind past your ear. That group doesn’t hold back, and even if they don’t take your life, breaking your tendons would leave you useless for life. You’re still young, so take care of yourself.”

”Sure!”

Carson Flores agreed readily, turned to look at the other security guards cowering in the back, ”Chief, you charged ahead, but the others haven’t made a move.”

Davis Bernard smiled carelessly, ”Most of them are locals, so it’s normal they didn’t step up. Don’t blame them. If things really go down, we can run, but they can’t.”

Carson Flores nodded, ”It’s just a job, not a life commitment. I get it.”

Davis Bernard asked, ”What about you? With such a small salary, is it worth causing such a big issue?”

Carson Flores smiled, ”Actually, I just had itchy fists and wanted to fight. Besides, a bunch of grown men bullying a woman, that’s not right, I couldn’t stand it.”

Davis Bernard gave a thumbs up, ”Bro, you’re a real man!”

The two sat for about fifteen minutes when suddenly there was a disturbance on the road. A long line of cars drove up majestically, including sedans, vans, and SUVs.

The cars parked along the road outside the factory in a long line, then all the doors opened, and one by one, men wielding steel rods got out and started converging toward them.

There were a lot of people, densely packed, completely surrounding the entrance to the factory; Carson Flores and Davis Bernard were sitting right in the middle of this encirclement.

Carson Flores’s gaze swept over the crowd, ”So many people, quite brazen for broad daylight.”

Davis Bernard was very tense and whispered, ”They all have iron rods. If it were night, it’d probably be knives and daggers instead.”

Carson Flores looked relaxed, ”Where’s Mr. Liao?”

Davis Bernard’s gaze fell on a distant black Mercedes, ”He should be in that car.”

Carson Flores looked at the Mercedes and sneered, ”Putting on quite the show, eh? Everyone’s here, and he’s still not getting out of the car. What, is he waiting for someone to invite him?”

Davis Bernard whispered, ”He’s probably waiting for everyone to gather. He needs to restore his men’s morale and his own face, so naturally, he needs to make a big scene. Otherwise, how could he maintain control over his own people?”
