The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 216: Chapter 216: Don’t Ask, Don’t Even Think About It!_1

Carson Flores blinked, momentarily at a loss for words.

Did this even need asking?

As a physically normal young man, living in the same room with a young woman who not only had an attractive figure but was also beautiful, even sleeping in the same bed, yet without engaging in any intimate contact, could you say he didn’t struggle?

Carson Flores touched his nose, ”Why are you suddenly asking this? It’s quite awkward.”

Shirley Miller’s cheeks were also quite red, but since she asked, she really wanted to know the answer, ”I’m just curious. Sometimes I think about this question myself, but I’m not a man, so I can’t grasp how men feel.”

The atmosphere in the room seemed to become ambiguous all at once, after all, their relationship was close, but there hadn’t been any physical contact that crossed the boundary.

Carson Flores answered more tactfully, ”No offense intended, but living in the same room with a gorgeous woman like you, who is also beautiful and well-shaped, is indeed a bit of a torture, sometimes it’s really tough...”

Shirley Miller felt a strange, unexplainable joy. So, he wasn’t as calm and composed as he seemed, he felt the difficulty, the torment.

It seemed she did have charm.

All sorts of images were already swirling in Shirley Miller’s head. She even wanted to ask Carson Flores how he dealt with it, but after all, she was thin-skinned and didn’t dare ask any further, because the answer seemed rather obvious.

Carson Flores saw the surprise that flashed in Shirley Miller’s eyes and was a bit puzzled, but then he quickly guessed what the little woman might be thinking at that moment.

Women, you see, if you get too close, they’ll think you have ulterior motives, that you’re a scoundrel. But if you’re indifferent to them, maintaining a distance from start to finish, they’ll start to question their own allure.

Carson Flores could not help but chuckle. It seemed that even a goddess was not immune to common concerns.

Seeing Carson Flores laugh, Shirley Miller got somewhat annoyed, ”What are you laughing at?”

Carson Flores chuckled, ”Don’t doubt your charm. I’m just being quite composed to avoid you calling me a scoundrel.”

Shirley Miller involuntarily recalled the scene when they first met, her mood quite delicate for a moment, she snorted, ”You are a scoundrel!”

Carson Flores lay comfortably on the bed, ”If I really were a scoundrel, you’d be pregnant by now. After all, we’re certified professionals here. Even if it came up in front of the old man, you’d be the one to get scolded...”

Shirley Miller was lost for words, because Carson Flores was telling the truth.

Although she and Carson Flores had set clear rules, if he went rogue and breached trust after marriage, forcing himself upon her, she really wouldn’t have any way to handle it, and no one would take her side in the matter.

”Yes, yes, yes, you’re a good person, not a scoundrel, okay?”

Carson Flores, having won with words, laughed out loud, turning to look at Shirley Miller, ”You just asked me a question, so let me ask you one in return. How about it?”

Shirley Miller immediately became nervous, warily looking at Carson Flores, ”What do you want to ask?”

Carson Flores chuckled, ”Just discussing, you probably haven’t been with a man, right?”

Shirley Miller’s face turned even redder, feeling both embarrassed and annoyed, and somewhat humiliated, she gritted her teeth, ”Yes, go ahead and laugh if you want.”

Carson Flores waved his hands, ”I won’t laugh, won’t laugh. Not everyone can manage that. It says something good about your character.”

Shirley Miller stared at Carson Flores, ”Is that what you wanted to ask?”

Carson Flores shook his head, ”No, I just want to ask, everyone has normal emotions and desires. Although out of hatred, you deliberately rejected love, but you must still have emotional and physical needs, right? How do you deal with it...”

Before Carson Flores could finish speaking, Shirley Miller’s entire face was already flushed as if on fire, indignantly grabbing a pillow next to her and hurling it at Carson Flores, ”You can’t ask that! And don’t even think about it!”

Carson Flores laughed and dodged the incoming pillow, ”Didn’t you ask just now? Dare you say you’ve never thought about it?”

At Carson Flores’s words, Shirley Miller became terribly flustered. The pillow flew as she kept striking Carson Flores, ”You can’t say that!”

Carson Flores laughed and caught the pillow thrown at him, ”It’s okay for the official to set fire, but not for the commoners to light lamps, huh? That’s a double standard.”

Shirley Miller was swinging the pillow with all her might and caught off guard, she stumbled and with a shriek, toppled right into Carson Flores’s arms.

Shirley Miller froze.

Carson Flores’s raised hand also froze.

Since they had met, even though they had lived under the same roof, they had always been respectful, never crossing any line. Now, caught off-guard and hugging each other like this was their first real intimate contact.

The ambiguous atmosphere in the room instantly intensified by a few degrees.

Both were wearing thin bathrobes, and with their bodies so close together, they could feel each other’s racing heartbeats, almost as if they could sense each other’s physique.

Carson Flores’s hand lowered, coming to rest on Shirley Miller’s back. There also seemed to be a flicker of flame in his eyes...
