The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 228: Chapter 228: I’m looking for Carson Flores, I’m his girlfriend_1

”Carson, you’re inside, so I’ll stand guard.”

Just as Carson Flores had entered the guardhouse to switch shifts, the young security guard, Augustus Vasquez, proactively gave up his seat to him.

Carson Flores smiled and tossed over a pack of cigarettes: ”Thanks.”

It didn’t take long after Carson Flores joined the security team for everyone to figure out his situation.

He came from a wealthy family, wasn’t short on money, and was just here to kill time. He didn’t care about the paycheck at all.

He was capable, able to take on a group of thugs all by himself without blinking an eye.

He was generous. In just a few days, he had treated them twice, and the amount of cigarettes he distributed among them was countless. He’d already spent the equivalent of one or two months’ salary.

He was lazy. If he could sit, he wouldn’t stand, and he would never work hard unless it was absolute necessary.

On the one hand, everyone admired Carson Flores’s capabilities; on the other hand, since they had taken favors from him, they felt obliged to reciprocate. Thus, whoever was paired with Carson Flores would voluntarily choose the harder task of standing guard, allowing him to relax inside the guardhouse.

In return, Carson Flores treated his partners fairly, sometimes tossing them a pack of cigarettes or inviting them for a quick meal. Because of this, those who stood guard for him weren’t complaining. Instead, they were happy—wasn’t it like getting an extra income?

There were many vehicles and visitors coming in and out of the factory. Augustus Vasquez stood guard and checked them, while Carson Flores sat by the window, in charge of registering information and making phone calls.

Since Shirley Miller and Carson Flores had arrived, the entire factory had been in disarray with everyone restless. After the fight at the main gate and the consequences Eithan Fuentes and others faced spread throughout the factory, things quickly calmed down. Everything started running smoothly and even the workers, when passing by Carson Flores on duty, looked at him with undisguised respect.

Close to the end of the shift, Augustus Vasquez standing outside suddenly spoke up, ”Carson, there’s a pretty lady looking at us over there.”

Carson Flores didn’t move: ”Then you should look back at her, give her a few extra glances and make sure you don’t lose out.”

Augustus Vasquez said in a low voice: ”She is really beautiful, and the car she’s driving looks like a Bentley, the epitome of a rich and beautiful woman. I wonder what she’s doing here, maybe waiting for someone?”

Carson Flores laughed: ”What, you’re smitten?”

Augustus Vasquez said self-deprecatingly: ”Women of her caliber are out of our league. Not to mention the car, her bag alone probably costs more than our annual salary without eating or drinking... Oh, she’s coming over.”

Carson Flores leaned forward to take a quick look outside, and his expression immediately changed as he quickly withdrew his head.

Parked by the factory entrance was a Bentley, with a stern-faced middle-aged man standing by the car, and a beautiful woman in a black dress walking towards the guardhouse with a slight smile on her face that was subtly captivating.

This was the woman in the black dress he’d encountered at the bar two nights ago!

Damn it, what was she doing here?

Was she here on business at the pharmaceutical factory, or was she here for him?

He hadn’t left her with any information, and he hadn’t logged into the game in the past two days.

How had she found him?

”Miss, who are you looking for?”

Augustus Vasquez’s voice carried a trace of unnaturality and nervousness. Confronted with such a beauty, he subconsciously felt somewhat inferior.

”I’m looking for Carson Flores; I’m his girlfriend.”

Inside the guardhouse, Carson Flores felt a jolt in his heart. So she really was looking for him!

This woman had not only found out where he worked but also knew his name and claimed to be his girlfriend. She clearly came prepared.

At the bar, he’d been slightly drunk and had flirted with her antagonistically. Obviously, she wasn’t content to let him get away with having taken advantage of her and had come knocking for trouble.

Augustus Vasquez felt stunned.

Carson Flores’s girlfriend?

Everyone knew his family was well off and that he wasn’t short on money, but did he have to be so affluent that his girlfriend could be so wealthy and so beautiful?

Could it be just like in the TV dramas, where Carson Flores was the young master of some big corporate group, who had run away from home due to disagreements and was trying to make his own way in the world, only to have his fiancée track him down?

Augustus Vasquez turned his head and looked at Carson Flores with a complicated and even resentful expression: ”Carson, your girlfriend is looking for you.”

Carson Flores helplessly got up and stuck half his body out of the guardhouse: ”Don’t believe her nonsense. I’m married; I have a wife. I don’t even know her name... ”

Upon hearing this, Augustus Vasquez’s eyes instantly filled with confusion.

Not his girlfriend?

The woman in the black dress said cheerfully: ”Don’t be so heartless, man. When you were kissing and holding me, that’s not what you said.”

Augustus Vasquez’s gaze suddenly changed, becoming intensely spirited, filled with admiration, envy, and a deep realization.

Kissed and held her, yet doesn’t know her name?

A one-night stand?

The red flag at home remains unwavering, but colorful banners are waving abroad, and now one of them has come knocking?

Wow, this plot is something else.

Carson Flores wasn’t the kind to be easily embarrassed; he replied with a smile: ”Don’t make a scene, woman. You said it yourself, right? I just fulfilled your request, so you can’t twist the facts.”

The woman in the black dress kept her eyes locked on Carson Flores, who smiled back unfazed.

After a few seconds, the woman in the black dress sighed: ”I never would have imagined that a man who can buy a few thousand dollars’ worth of booze for a game at a bar, a man who can beat up my bodyguards, would turn out to be a security guard...”
