The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 213: Chapter 213 This Matter Is Worth Boasting About for a Lifetime_1

”Ms. Miller, please give us another chance; we were wrong before, and we apologize to you.”

”Spare us, it was all Eithan Fuentes who led us astray into doing this; we only agreed to him because we couldn’t turn down the favor.”

”Yes, yes, yes, it’s all Eithan Fuentes’s fault. If it weren’t for him, we would never have done such a thing.”

Seeing Sam Reid begging for mercy, the people around couldn’t hold back any longer, and they all began to plead as well, quickly selling out Eithan Fuentes.

Eithan Fuentes’s face, pale with rage, was flushed red by everyone’s actions, but he had no way to explain. Clenching his teeth, a forced smile appeared on his face, ”Ms. Miller... ”

Shirley Miller, however, seemed as if she hadn’t heard anything, just staring ahead, completely ignoring everyone.

At that moment, everyone’s hearts were suspended in mid-air, extremely uncomfortable.

Below, Chaim Stout had completely lost his spine and admitted defeat directly, ”Mr. Johnston, I had no idea about Ms. Miller’s connection with you. I was blind, please, a wise man does not remember the offenses of a fool—spare me this once. From here on out, I’ll make sure the pharmaceutical plant runs smoothly. If anyone causes trouble for the plant, they’ll be picking a fight with me, Chaim Stout, and I’ll stick to them to the end!”

Remy Johnston replied indifferently, ”Ms. Miller mentioned that you have some connections inside her factory?”

Without any hesitation, Chaim Stout sold out Eithan Fuentes and the others: ”The former boss of the factory, Chen, was my friend. Now that there’s a new boss, I was planning to greet the new boss and make friends. Eithan Fuentes and others found my subordinates, saying they wanted to extort the new boss, so I thought since I was going to greet them anyway, I could take care of both matters at once...”

”Mr. Johnston, they say ignorance is no sin. I didn’t know that Ms. Miller and Mr. Johnston were friends. How about this, I’ll help Ms. Miller deal with those who are disloyal from within, making them spit out everything they swallowed as compensation for their actions. What do you think?”

Remy Johnston turned and asked with a smile, ”Ms. Miller, what do you think?”

Shirley Miller smiled and said, ”That’s very good, thank you, Mr. Johnston.”

Remy Johnston waved off the gratitude with a chuckle, ”It’s nothing; there’s no need to be so formal with me. Mr. Stout, right? You heard it, make sure this is done properly, and we’ll call it even. If not, well, I might just find someone else to handle it.”

Beads of sweat broke out on Chaim Stout’s forehead as he repeatedly assured, ”I will take care of it, definitely!”

Remy Johnston lifted his chin slightly, ”This meeting is over.”

”Alright, Mr. Johnston.”

With a sigh of relief, Chaim Stout stood up and commanded, ”Everyone, back to it. Brody Compton, you take some people and keep an eye on Eithan Fuentes and his group. In coordination with Ms. Miller, make them spill everything they’ve taken!”

”Yes!”

The crowd dispersed with a buzz, and the truck was driven away by the driver, leaving behind a group of people, standing at the entrance, eyeing Eithan Fuentes and his group predatorily.

Remy Johnston turned to say, ”Ms. Miller, my father owes you a great debt for saving his life this time. The entire Johnston Family is deeply grateful. We have prepared a feast, and we would be honored if you would grace us with your presence.”

Shirley Miller knew that Remy Johnston was deliberately saying this to make known their relationship with the Johnston Family. For one, it could avert some unnecessary gossip; secondly, anyone looking to make trouble for her would have to consider whether they could withstand the wrath of the Family Head of the Johnston Family, the savior of Shirley Miller.

With Remy Johnston’s words out, Shirley Miller’s prestige in the pharmaceutical plant, and even in the business world, would undoubtedly ensure that no one would dare to harbor ill intentions toward her anymore.

”Mr. Johnston is too kind; I just happened to be there, no need to make a fuss... Lydia, could you please get my bag for me?”

Lydia Howell brought over her bag, and as Shirley Miller approached, she said to Davis Bernard, ”Supervisor Davis, maintain the discipline within the plant.”

Davis Bernard pledged with great emotion, ”Don’t worry, Ms. Miller, there will be no issues.”

With the support of the Johnston Family, what would Davis Bernard fear as he managed the affairs of the pharmaceutical plant?

He might have been afraid of offending people before, but now he could ask confidently, who was there to fear?

Shirley Miller’s gaze fell upon Carson Flores and she asked with a smile, ”How should I address you?”

Carson Flores smiled and puffed out his chest, ”Carson Flores, just joined the security department.”

Shirley Miller praised with a smile, ”You were very brave today and made a significant contribution. Go change your clothes and drive for me.”

”Sure!”

Remy Johnston observed the couple playing their public performance and found it quite amusing, not being able to help but smile. ”No need to drive yourself; ride with me. We’ll have a drink tonight, and later, I’ll have my driver take you both back.”

Remy Johnston played along, and Carson Flores naturally agreed, ”Alright!”

Davis Bernard and the other security personnel instantly became envious.

Remy Johnston was personally inviting Carson Flores for a drink, an event they could brag about for a lifetime!

Back in the security department, Carson Flores changed his clothes and returned to the entrance. The bodyguards opened the car doors for them, and they got into the Rolls Royce, which drove away from the factory entrance amid the envious stares of onlookers, leaving behind a legend to be talked about at the dinner table for a long time.

In the car, Remy Johnston laughed and said, ”Mr. Flores, you’ve played your undercover role to perfection. Now, everyone must certainly think you’re just incredibly lucky, favored by the beautiful boss, and have reached the pinnacle of your life overnight...”
