The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 248: Chapter 248: If You Really Have Such Ability, Why Are You Still a Security Guard?_1

”Crack!”

Amid the faint sound of bone breaking, a piercing scream suddenly tore through the night.

The smile on Chaim Stout’s face, who was smoking a cigarette, suddenly froze.

The scream didn’t come from Carson Flores, but from his friend!

The man’s calf showed a shocking bend, making it clear that not only was his leg bone broken, but it was completely bent!

A look of terror appeared in Chaim Stout’s eyes. How could this be?

His friend was a Cultivator with Inner Qi, able to kill a cow with one punch, bend a steel pipe with one kick—yet his strong leg was cleanly broken by Carson Flores’s kick!

Carson Flores was also a Cultivator!

And his strength was far greater than his friend’s!

Chaim Stout’s scalp tingled, and goosebumps sprang up all over his body. He looked at Carson Flores in horror, completely unable to comprehend why a Cultivator would work as a security guard, guarding a gate!

With such skills, even working as a bodyguard would bring in an easy annual salary of a million!

Carson Flores looked at the staggering man who was standing on one foot, smiling just as before, ”You see, I told you, my bones are rather hard, but you didn’t believe me. Now you’ve taken a fall, haven’t you?”

The staggering man glared angrily and resentfully, then turned and shouted, ”Chaim, didn’t you say he was just a security guard?”

Chaim Stout hurriedly replied, ”He really is a security guard, I didn’t lie to you. He even guards the gate on normal days.”

The man turned his head to stare at Carson Flores, ”Playing the pig to eat the tiger, huh? Fine, I’ll make sure you can’t walk out this door today!”

Carson Flores’s eyes narrowed slightly, ”It seems your bones are also quite tough. How about I give you a hand?”

The man was taken aback and quickly threatened, ”You dare! This is Martinez Family territory!”

Carson Flores frowned, ”You’re from the Martinez Family?”

The man gritted his teeth, ”My big sister is Miss Martinez!”

Carson Flores asked in surprise, ”The Miss Martinez you’re talking about, Kylie Martinez?”

The man sneered, ”That’s right, her. Kid, the Martinez Family could squash you like a bug with no effort at all!”

Carson Flores was amused, laughing out loud, ”I thought you were from the Martinez Family yourself. Turns out you’re just a little lackey, and you have the nerve to brag about it!”

The man’s face turned red; Carson Flores’s words were like slaps on his face, each one mocking him as a little lackey, a nobody, overwhelming him with humiliation.

”Just you wait!”

Carson Flores walked towards the man, ”Seeing that you’re still so fierce while talking, you indeed have the air of someone standing. I think it’s better if you kneel.”

The man watched as Carson Flores approached, panic showing in his eyes, and his knees weakened, bringing him directly to his knees.

This motion affected his broken leg, causing him to scream again, his tears nearly falling.

The man didn’t dare not to kneel; he clearly understood what Carson Flores meant—he was retaliating for what he had said earlier.

He had wanted Carson Flores to kneel and beg for mercy, and now Carson Flores was returning the gesture.

If he didn’t kneel, he feared his other leg would probably be broken immediately.

Carson Flores stopped in his tracks, ”There you go, you’re kneeling now. Alright, go ahead and make your phone call.”

The man felt like he had been granted amnesty. He had been too afraid to touch his phone to make a call earlier, lest Carson Flores slap him again, swelling his face and knocking the phone away.

The man dialed a number hastily, ”Kylie, help me, I’ve had my leg broken by some guy...”

After making the call, the man’s arrogance returned.

”You just wait. My Kylie will be here any minute now, and you’re as good as dead.”

Carson Flores just smiled, paying him no heed, and turned to look at Chaim Stout, ”Your friend doesn’t seem to have much Combat Power. He can’t beat me. Have you thought about how you’re going to end this today?”

Sweat was starting to appear on Chaim Stout’s forehead as he tried to maintain his composure, sneering, ”You should be the one worrying now. Miss Martinez is here today, and if she decides to clean you up, what will you do? Don’t tell me you can fight; however strong you are, can you beat the Martinez Family? Even if you say you know Remy Johnston, Miss Martinez doesn’t have to care at all!”

Carson Flores laughed, ”What if Miss Martinez does care about me?”

Chaim Stout sneered, ”Who do you think you are, a door-watching security guard? Does Miss Martinez need to give a damn about you? Dream on!”

Carson Flores sighed, ”You might not believe me, but I just had dinner with Miss Martinez. She even paid for it.”

Chaim Stout and the kneeling man at the same time opened their eyes wide, disbelief written all over their faces.

”Impossible!”

Chaim Stout blurted out as if his tail had been stepped on, ”If you were really that capable, would you need to be a security guard?”

Carson Flores laughed, ”Who says that someone capable can’t be a security guard?”

Chaim Stout clenched his teeth, ”Keep boasting, I don’t believe it!”

Carson Flores smiled, ”If I were really bluffing, wouldn’t I be running away by now? Waiting for Miss Martinez to come and catch me red-handed, to clean me up?”

Chaim Stout thought about it and it seemed to make sense. Knowing Kylie Martinez was here, aware of the might of the Martinez Family, Carson Flores was still calm and composed, not showing any signs of panic or taking the chance to escape. Could it be that what he had said earlier was true?

Did he really know Kylie Martinez, had he really dined with her?

The more Chaim Stout thought about it, the more plausible it seemed. Sweat started pouring from his forehead, his back instantly drenched in cold sweat.

It was all over, what should he do?
