The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 241: Chapter 241 Are You Showing Off?_1

Carson Flores didn’t continue his attack on Ares Fitzgerald. He casually dragged over a chair, leisurely sat down, and revealed a faint smile on his face.

”Ready to talk now? I only represent myself, not my master...”

Shiloh Fitzgerald looked at the smile on Carson’s face and heard his mocking words, and suddenly came to his senses.

Carson wasn’t there to kill him; he was simply using an excuse to prove his own formidable strength, to show that he didn’t need to rely on Andrew’s reputation, and to demonstrate that he had the confidence to discuss cooperation with him on equal footing.

It seemed their beating was in vain.

Two Cultivators at the Gang Qi Realm, and both so young—who would want to provoke them for no reason?

The entire Fitzgerald Family had only two people at the Gang Qi Realm, and now, two more had appeared before him seemingly out of thin air!

Shiloh’s face turned an iron blue as he stared at Carson: ”Are you just doing this to demonstrate your power?”

Carson spoke indifferently, ”Is there a more direct and better way to prove it?”

Shiloh pointed to Ares angrily: ”You were deadly serious in those few moves just now. Aren’t you afraid this will lead to a fight to the death?”

Carson glanced at Ares next to him, who was grinding his teeth and fuming with anger, ”If he can’t even block these few moves of mine, then it shows the Cultivators from the Fitzgerald Family are just so-so, hardly worthy of cooperation with me. Besides, I knew when to hold back. No one’s going to die—from the most, he’ll be bedridden for a year and a half.”

Shiloh gritted his teeth: ”Aren’t you afraid I might turn hostile?”

Carson’s tone remained calm: ”Considering you provoked me first, it’s only natural to expect some consequences. Besides, even if you did turn hostile, do you think I would be scared?”

Shiloh glared at Carson with fierce eyes, but Carson remained unfazed, turning with a smile to Leonard Reid who was standing to the side, dumbstruck and shocked, ”Don’t mind it, Cultivators tend to handle matters directly. By proving myself this way to them, even if he now despises me down to the bone, he’ll feel more reassured about cooperating with me and invest genuine effort, rather than giving me the runaround.”

Shiloh gave a cold snort: ”Is this a show of power then?”

Carson smiled: ”We’re just cooperating to achieve our respective goals, I’m not marrying into your family, so your opinion of me isn’t important. What matters is how we work together to achieve our aims.”

Shiloh took a deep breath, his eyes showing a flicker of interest: ”Are you really in your twenties? How did you train to get such strength? Your master’s power can’t be much greater, right?”

Carson offered a slight smile and turned toward Ares in the back: ”You can ask him to see if he was holding back.”

Holding back?

I was holding back, and then you beat me till I spat blood?

Ares, infuriated, ground his teeth and spat out a mouthful of blood-stained saliva, took a few gulps of tea, and turned his head away, unwilling to look at Carson’s arrogant expression.

Ever since he had converted his Inner Qi to Gang Qi, he had never been as embarrassed as he was today.

Shiloh focused on Carson’s face: ”The Fitzgerald Family and the Miller Family are mortal enemies. What’s your relationship with the Miller Family, and why are you targeting them?”

Carson sighed: ”Why do you keep worrying about these trivial matters? You’re a Family Head; can’t you be more decisive and efficient? Are we cooperating or not?”

After a few seconds of silence, Shiloh slowly nodded: ”How shall we cooperate?”

Carson’s expression turned serious: ”We will contribute two at the Gang Qi Realm, and you will too, plus a group at the Inner Qi level. I will also find some other people to join forces to ensure that the Miller Family is completely erased from the world of Cultivators, and their assets will be thoroughly divided up.”

Shiloh’s eyes brightened noticeably, clearly tempted: ”Four at the Gang Qi Realm won’t be enough; the Miller Family is rumored to have three, and that’s just the known count. If we’re unsure, there might be even more.”

Carson nodded: ”Exactly, since we’re making a move, we’ll make sure none of them escape. I will find more helpers, and right now, you just need to decide whether to be involved or not.”

Shiloh said in a deep voice: ”If you can find strong enough assistance to ensure the complete annihilation of the Miller Family, the Fitzgerald Family will join in.”

Carson snapped his fingers: ”Alright, I’ll get in touch with you once I’ve finalized the plan.”

Shiloh frowned: ”Just like that?”

Carson laughed: ”Yeah, discussing it now is pointless since we don’t have enough people yet.”

Shiloh stared at Carson: ”What role do you play in all of this?”

Carson chuckled: ”The organizer. Alright, business is concluded, why don’t we all have a friendly cup of tea?”

Shiloh stood up with a cold gaze: ”I’ll skip the tea, wait for your news.”

After Shiloh and Ares left with gloomy faces, Carson picked up the teapot, flipped over a cup, poured himself some tea, took a sip, and smiled: ”I’ve been here so long, and I haven’t even had a sip of tea yet.”

Westley Reid heaved a long sigh and said with a wry smile: ”Your way of doing things is really fierce; you’ve completely got the proud Shiloh Fitzgerald under your thumb.”

Carson responded with a smile: ”It’s just the barefoot being unafraid of the shod. The Fitzgerald Family’s got too much at stake, they won’t easily turn their back on someone like me.”

Leonard Reid asked curiously: ”Someone like you? What do you mean?”

Carson chuckled: ”A free and unattached lone wolf...”
