The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 220: Chapter 220 Where has that smugness from a few days ago gone?_1

”Come out quickly!”

Carson Flores was in the security department bragging to Davis Bernard when suddenly a call came from the gate guard’s security, who was excited.

Could there be another disturbance?

Davis Bernard quickly assembled everyone at the gate, and from afar they saw a crowd at the entrance, which immediately made everyone a bit nervous. But when they got closer, their expressions turned quite peculiar.

A pile of people lay at the entrance, their clothes disheveled, faces bruised and swollen—a clear sign they had taken a severe beating. A group huddled at the corner of the entrance wall, squatting and holding their heads, lined up in a row.

After a closer look, Carson Flores immediately laughed.

Wasn’t this Eithan Fuentes and his group?

Davis Bernard also recognized them and burst into laughter, ”Well, well, if it isn’t Manager Fuentes. Usually dressed to the nines, hair immaculate, but what’s with this bird’s nest hairstyle today? Did you run into some bandits?”

Eithan Fuentes looked pitiful, full of fear, ”Manager Bernard, please don’t ridicule me. I’ve deeply realized my mistakes. I’m here today to apologize to Ms. Miller. Could you please inform her for me?”

Davis Bernard laughed heartily, ”Where did that cockiness from a few days ago go? Looks like times have changed. Just wait here.”

Davis Bernard walked over to the guard booth and personally called Shirley Miller to report the situation.

Soon after, Shirley Miller came down, accompanied by the new factory director, Manuel Howard, and several newly promoted department heads.

Upon seeing everyone’s condition, Shirley Miller felt a secret satisfaction. She’d found this group’s faces abhorrent before, and now they were deservedly in distress!

”What do you want?”

Eithan Fuentes stood up, bowed sincerely to Shirley Miller, and apologized, ”Ms. Miller, I’m sorry, we were wrong. We shouldn’t have abused our positions for embezzlement. This card contains all the money we’ve embezzled over the years; we’re returning it all to you. We’ve been punished. Please let us off the hook!”

The others also stood up in turn, bowing to Shirley Miller.

Twenty or thirty people stood in two neat lines, bowing and apologizing to Shirley Miller, with an attitude that they wouldn’t get up unless she agreed. The scene was quite intimidating.

Davis Bernard ran over eagerly, took the card, and then handed it to Shirley Miller.

Shirley Miller accepted the card indifferently and said sternly, ”Since you’ve been punished, I won’t throw you into prison. Let’s wipe the slate clean with past grievances. But if you target the pharmaceutical factory or its employees again, I won’t be as polite as I am now.”

Eithan Fuentes quickly assured, ”We wouldn’t dare, we’ll never do it again.”

Shirley Miller coldly said, ”Get lost, don’t block the way!”

Eithan Fuentes and the rest let out a long sigh of relief, feeling like they had received a pardon, and promptly ran off.

From a car parked on the roadside, Chaim Stout stepped out. Today, he wasn’t wearing sunglasses, held no cigar in hand, and even the chain around his neck was missing.

Chaim Stout walked up to Shirley Miller, handed her a business card with a humble tone, ”Ms. Miller, about the past, I was the one who offended you. This is my business card. If you encounter any trouble in this area, Call me any time, and I’ll do my best to help.”

Shirley Miller smiled faintly, taking the card, and said with a smile, ”Mr. Stout, you’re too kind. We didn’t know each other before, and conflicts were inevitable. Thanks to you, we’ve dealt with these pests this time. I’ll treat you to a drink later.”

Chaim Stout modestly said, ”Oh no, Ms. Miller, you are busy with important things, I won’t take up more of your time. Call me if you need anything.”

”Alright!”

With that, Chaim Stout breathed a sigh of relief, knowing the offense he had given the pharmaceutical factory was now behind him.

Shirley Miller inviting him for a drink?

That was something he dared not accept.

If he ever had the chance to help the pharmaceutical factory, perhaps there would be an appropriate opportunity to sit down for a meal together and establish a relationship. Right now, he was atoning for his past actions.

Shirley Miller led the others back to the office. Davis Bernard exclaimed, ”Ms. Miller sure knows how to kill the chicken to scare the monkeys. The locals have all been put in line, and from now on, who would dare to act up? It looks like the atmosphere in the factory is going to change big time.”

”That’s good news.”

Carson Flores chuckled, ”With the pests cleaned out and everyone’s favorite Director Howard back, the factory can now go full steam ahead.”

Davis Bernard agreed, ”Ms. Miller might be a woman, but she’s obviously capable and shrewd. Plus, with Director Howard’s support, the pharmaceutical factory is bound to thrive. Hey, I don’t have to worry about unemployment anymore. When the factory was sold, I thought I was going to be laid off.”

Carson Flores was about to speak when his phone rang.

Samantha Tate’s crisp voice came through, ”Brother, are you busy?”

Carson Flores replied with a smile, ”Me, a security guard, busy? Not at all. I’m just idling.”

Samantha Tate giggled, ”You. Turning down the job of personal assistant to a great beauty to go and be a security guard, hanging out with a bunch of men, aren’t you asking for trouble?”

Carson Flores joked, ”By being a security guard, doesn’t someone seem pretty happy?”

Samantha Tate laughed out loud, ”Yeah, yeah, I’m very happy, indeed. With my sister’s charm, what if she bewitched you?”

Carson Flores asked, ”What do you want?”

Samantha Tate said cheerily, ”Our class is having a gathering. Brother, to keep your girlfriend from being harassed by other men, come make an appearance...”
