The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 236: Chapter 236 Mutual Concerns_1

”I’m off, heading to work.”

Carson Flores greeted a still groggy Camille Rhodes, preparing to leave.

Camille Rhodes opened her eyes, rubbed them, and focused on Carson Flores, ”What’s with your eagerness as a security guard?”

Carson Flores laughed, ”A monk strikes the bell every day he serves.”

Camille Rhodes waved a hand dismissively, ”Go on, then. Annoying. I’ll come find you later.”

”Mhm.”

Carson Flores casually left the house. Although Camille Rhodes felt limp and without any strength, she suddenly became wide awake, without a hint of sleepiness left.

This guy is really carefree!

Does he think what happened last night was just a one-night stand?

Hmph!

Wishful thinking!

Thinking about the nonstop madness of last night, Camille Rhodes felt a complex mix of emotions. After all, it’s impossible to spend such a crazy night with a man and have no special feelings for him, especially when Carson Flores is such a charming man.

If it were not so, even if Carson Flores had his way, Camille Rhodes would have called in her bodyguards, killed him while he slept, and made him disappear from this world forever.

Did I not end up curling up into his arms, sleeping soundly and peacefully in the latter part of the night?

This thought agitated Camille Rhodes.

The guy is married, he has a wife!

Aren’t I just a mistress then?

If this becomes known, not to mention myself, where would my father put his face?

Should I just treat it as a fling?

With eyes wide open, Camille Rhodes lay there for a while then suddenly punched the blanket fiercely.

Impossible!

He thinks he can sleep with me and then just leave?

Hmph, I’ll get to know him better. If he turns out to be not that great, I’ll let it go. But if he’s a good guy, then I’ll snatch him away!

Married? So what, just steal him away!

Thinking of Shirley Miller’s cold, fairy-like face, Camille Rhodes felt unsure about starting with Carson Flores; the guy was tough as nails and surely wouldn’t easily let go of such a beautiful woman. So, why not start with Shirley Miller?

A beautiful and capable woman like that must have a lot of pride. If she finds out her man rolled in the sheets with me all night, she will probably choose to divorce Carson Flores on her own, right?

Before confronting Shirley Miller, I must first probe Carson Flores’s inner thoughts. The last thing I want is for him to lose his mind and put me in a really bad spot!

That’s settled then!

I, Camille Rhodes, have never failed to get what I want since childhood!

...

Carson Flores had just sat down in the security booth when he saw Lydia Howell drive a BMW X5 through the factory gate.

Shirley Miller was in the back seat, and through the glass, she caught a glimpse of Carson Flores in the security booth and subconsciously breathed a sigh of relief.

He came to work!

Shirley Miller stayed in the hotel last night, listening for any noise outside. She hadn’t heard Carson Flores come home the whole time until she fell asleep.

Maybe the soundproofing is really good, so I didn’t hear him, or perhaps he came back late?

If something happened between him and that beautiful woman, he wouldn’t likely come to work this early, right?

As the car glided past the booth, Shirley Miller inwardly chastised herself. Why does it even matter to me whether Carson Flores returns to the hotel or not?

Didn’t we both agree to be clear that I don’t concern myself with Carson’s personal life, and he’s free to chat up girls and flirt as he pleases?

As she thought this, Shirley Miller’s heart became a bit flustered.

It seems I’ve started to care more and more about Carson Flores without realizing it. Have I genuinely fallen for him?

Even when he kissed my face, I felt no anger at all. If it were anyone else, I probably would’ve called the police by now.

When the three-month period ends, will he still want to divorce me?

Carson Flores sat inside the security booth, catching a vague glimpse of Shirley Miller behind the car window, and also let out a light sigh of relief.

He had come to work on time precisely to let Shirley Miller see that he was there, right?

He didn’t want her to think he had spent the night elsewhere.

It seems I have developed feelings for Shirley Miller as well.

This is troublesome.

I haven’t yet resolved the matter with Samantha Tate, and now the daughter of a prime magnate, Camille Rhodes, has popped up...

Oh well, the road will emerge when the carriage reaches the mountain, and the bridge will straighten as the boat approaches. Stop worrying about it!

”Bro Flores, what did you get up to with that beauty last night? Was there any progress?”

Carson Flores looked at Augustus Vasquez’s shining eyes and smiled, ”We had dinner together and then fought on for three hundred rounds, all night until dawn. How about that, jealous?”

Augustus Vasquez laughed, ”Bro Flores, you’re just pulling my leg.”

Carson Flores laughed heartily, if you won’t believe the truth, there’s nothing I can do.

So with nothing much else to do for two days, Carson Flores received a call from Remy Johnston, ”Mr. Flores, do you have time today? I’d like to ask you to see my father for his illness.”

”Sure!”

After work, Carson Flores walked a few steps and boarded Remy Johnston’s extended Rolls-Royce.

”How is Mr. Johnston’s condition now?”

Remy Johnston replied, ”The surgery wounds have pretty much healed, after all, he’s a Cultivator with good foundational strength. It’s just the old injuries from before are still the same with no improvements. Many doctors are helpless against internal injuries caused by Inner Qi...”

Carson Flores smirked slightly, ”I’ll give it a try. Shouldn’t be a big problem.”
