Undead Mage from a Cell

As Gu Xi named the territory before him, a voice echoed in his ears.

[Blood Sacrifice Ridge successfully occupied, Assembly Hall construction begins.]

Then, Gu Xi saw the large green stone in the pit melt like metal, swiftly devouring the tiger’s flesh and the Mountain God Golden Body that hadn’t been fully consumed.

The melted green stone did not directly rise to form an Assembly Hall in its original place, but instead, transformed into a green light, rapidly spreading outwards.

The crimson earth and tiger skin spread across the ground all turned into stone slabs.

The crimson earth turned into crimson stone slabs.

As for the tiger skin, it turned into tiger fur growing on the stone slabs, feeling as natural as grass growing in a parking spot.

Once all these transformations were complete, the green light swiftly returned to its original position, forming a half-green, half-red building.

This building resembled the Mountain God Temple hall that Gu Xi had seen before, arranged with four beams, eight columns, and three chambers.

Pushing open the doors and entering the main hall, it didn’t have a Mountain God Golden Body but a large rectangular table covered with tiger skin.

Everything about Blood Sacrifice Ridge was placed on this table.

[Assembly Hall construction completed, Blood Sacrifice Ridge level 1, able to appoint a Garrison Hero (Mountain God).]

Gu Xi stepped into the hall first and turned to wave at Wu Liu.

”You come in first.”

Wu Liu walked into the hall with his head lowered, waiting obediently for Gu Xi’s command.

”I now appoint you as the Garrison Hero of Blood Sacrifice Ridge, the Mountain God. From now on, you will be in charge of managing Blood Sacrifice Ridge and the surrounding territories on my behalf.”

As he spoke, Gu Xi handed the iron cone in his hand to Wu Liu.

At the next moment, a ding sounded in Gu Xi’s ears.

[Would you like to transform the Chong Ghost before you into a Garrison Hero (Mountain God)?]

”Transform!”

[Transformation complete, Mountain God Wu Liu (Level 4 Hero), has joined your team.]

[Mountain God Wu Liu (Level 4, Summoned Creature, Undead Hero): Experience (0/7500), Attack 3, Defense 2, Life 45, Mana 40, Talent: Mountain God (While fighting in mountain forests, each level upgrade grants +1 attack and defense to the troops), Skills: Chang Ghost Lord (Can transform fallen enemies into Chong Ghosts through Soul Summoning Techniques), Garrison Hero (Defense battles at Blood Sacrifice Ridge gain +3 attack and defense), Leader (Can command 80 soldiers and 7 boss units simultaneously).]

Once Wu Liu’s transformation was complete, his body became more solidified.

Although he retained the semi-transparent, ghostly appearance, he no longer seemed as if he would be blown away by the wind at any moment.

Moreover, his color was no longer a ghostly blue but a pale golden blue.

It felt like a blend of two different materials within glass.

Most importantly, he now wore a tiger fur coat, holding a double-pronged fork, looking somewhat like a hunter, yet also like a temple priest.

Gu Xi paid no mind to his incongruous attire.

He was more interested in Wu Liu’s skills.

”How do you feel now?”

”Great, it feels like I have the entire city under my control.”

”What about the Chang Ghost Lord? You’re not a tiger, so what are you controlling?”

”No, my lord. I can use the Soul Summoning Skill, but these Chang Ghosts are not like the tiger’s. They’re more like conscripting odd job workers, but not very many.

After all, I can’t always be running around outside. Someone has to keep an eye on things.

Roughly, for each level I advance, I can independently recruit five Chang Ghosts.”

Gu Xi thought for a moment, then nodded, understanding the situation.

It’s almost like being able to autonomously recruit boss units; if that’s the case, it’s acceptable.

Then, Gu Xi moved to the table and picked up the information placed on its surface.

At this moment, the situation regarding Blood Sacrifice Ridge appeared before Gu Xi.

Gu Xi discovered that besides the map before him, there were also the architectural design plans for these buildings placed on the table.

It was clear that the architects had already replicated the architectural design plans in Gu Xi’s hands, placing them all here.

The garrison hero of Blood Sacrifice Ridge doesn’t have to worry too much and can continue the development set by Gu Xi.

The architects had even allocated positions and arranged order for all the buildings, Wu Liu just had to follow the configuration.

Looking further down, Gu Xi found something additional.

It was a map centered on Blood Sacrifice Ridge, expanding outward.

Gu Xi could tell this was the last contribution from the architects.

If Gu Xi had chosen a Market instead of a Barracks at the core building, nearby wild resource points would need handling here.

But on this map now, there’s a gaping void.

At least on the current map, no resource points are indicated.

Gu Xi didn’t give Wu Liu much time to react.

He addressed Wu Liu: ”Wu Liu, first handle this matter. See here is our current position, right at Blood Sacrifice Ridge.

For now, I’m appointing seven Skeleton Soldier units to you to scout and secure the nearby resource points you mentioned previously.

Capture them all, and if manpower is needed for guarding or development, make a note, and I’ll arrange personnel for you.

As for those Chang Ghosts that followed you earlier.

You now have 20 slots for Chang Ghosts; see if any are useful to retain. The rest, I want transferred to Yalidu City.”
