Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 561: Chapter 559: Real Demolition of the City

Rushing out from the Steel City Gate, Gu Xi saw an even larger platform.

This was the very top of the Evil God Hall.

It was empty here, except for a giant hand suspended above the center of the platform, there was a staircase leading down in the middle of the platform.

Gu Xi glanced up at the giant hand in the sky and noticed that the ring finger was already broken off, leaving only two blood lines trailing down.

Gu Xi immediately understood the situation.

The monster he had worked so hard to eliminate was just the ring finger joint of the Lida Scroll.

Standing here, any finger Gu Xi moved would release a monster similar to the one from before.

It was just one monster earlier, and Gu Xi had already struggled with that one.

He still hadn’t heard the sound indicating the monster’s death.

If four more appeared at once, Gu Xi doubted he could take them on.

Moreover, Gu Xi was somewhat puzzled; he could have the Death Incarnation climb up via the outer wall and enter through the gate.

What about Fang Kang and the others?

Could it be that he was overthinking it, that defeating the Evil God Hall didn’t require getting to this point, but only needed reaching the stairs at the center of the platform?

With a face full of questions, Gu Xi hesitated for a moment, ultimately deciding not to attack but instead walked to the staircase at the center of the platform and looked down.

Looking down, Gu Xi discovered that the area below seemed to be sealed, and the door seemed not to have opened yet.

Standing on the stairs, Gu Xi thought for a moment and quickly went to the spot where he had ascended.

”Shaya, go back and check the place where we fought earlier. See if there are any mechanisms that haven’t been activated.

If there aren’t, just keep going back until you reach the hall where I first came in. Check if there are any changes there.”

This message was sent through the Eye of the Soul, and Shaya responded immediately.

”Master, rest assured, I’ll handle it right away.”

While Shaya went to check the situation, Gu Xi wasn’t idle. The previous encounter with the monster made Gu Xi realize that the enemy was too powerful.

A direct fight was definitely not an option.

He had put so much thought into tackling just one monster, to deal with four would likely be fatal.

Gu Xi wondered, what if the place where the hand was held could be dismantled?

Such as this platform layer, if this layer was dismantled from the one below, wouldn’t the part of the Evil God Hall below just crash down?

As for how to dismantle it?

Would Gu Xi care about such a thing, the Undead Mage is best at digging, now Gu Xi had enough Undead to take things apart, it was all a small matter for him.

Thinking of this, Gu Xi quickly sprang into action.

A large number of Undead poured out from the Main City Gate, the first batch appearing were those new Undead in the Main City District.

Most of them were recently transformed by Gu Xi’s talent Double Death from those chefs.

Originally, they were to be organized into squads there in the Main City District.

Now that Gu Xi needed them, there was no need for formations, an area was simply defined.

Dismantle!

Gu Xi was relatively rational, not dismantling everything at once, he first used a small box to conduct an experiment while dismantling this platform.

Without the support of the ring finger, the box could still be held steadily, but without the thumb and pinky, the index and middle fingers couldn’t control anything.

So the target of Gu Xi’s dismantling was in those two directions.

Of course, Gu Xi didn’t initially dismantle the railings at the platform’s edge, he wasn’t foolish; those were there to protect him, dismantling them would just make him fall out.

So Gu Xi swiftly relocated the Main City Gate placed on the platform, defining the area and instructing the Undead beneath him to start dismantling.

Although Gu Xi’s previous Undead dismantling team claimed to be three feet above, they had never really dug the ground.

At most, they took floor tiles from the ground that looked good and brought them back.

This time was different, this was real dismantling.

After Gu Xi made the request, the Undead he called up didn’t start dismantling immediately.

They discussed briefly, and eventually, invited some unique-looking Undead from Yalidu City.

Although these Undead mostly appeared as Zombies and Skeletons, they all wore proper clothes; these were special Undead Gu Xi invited back from the Mysterious Academy.

They were all architectural experts. Gu Xi assigned them to the engineering camp. While they couldn’t speed up the construction in the city, they could make the buildings more aesthetically pleasing.

The most important aspect is that with their presence, Yalidu City’s architectural style would become more unified.

At the same time, they could handle the upgrade work for structures.

It could be said that their presence was quite significant to Yalidu City.

However, this time, they were all called out. After making a round on the platform, they finally discussed and decided how to begin dismantling.

First, digging straight down wasn’t feasible.

Digging directly was the easiest option, but Yalidu City wouldn’t benefit from it.

All materials dug out, regardless of their original form, would become trash.

Although trash could be sorted, why sort trash if you can extract valuable materials?

Thus, each of these experts took their teams and began studying the platform top, choosing to start dismantling from the central staircase.

While dismantling the tower, their actions weren’t very large. A particular Undead Architect resembling a Ghost had a keen eye, able to immediately identify structural issues, and with just a point, a large section could often be dismantled.

It removed the need for efforts like before where extensive labor had to be exerted, involving striking and smashing.

A Zombie Architect, meanwhile, organized the others to do the hardest labor, advancing in front, appearing wherever physical strength was needed.

Even the recently acquired battle troop, Electric Zombie, was also doing hard labor within this team.

The dismantled materials were immediately handled by the Ghost Squad.

Once materials reached their hands, if they could lift it, it was instantly sent to the Main City Gate.

The waiting Undead at the Main City Gate quickly sorted and pushed or transported all materials into Yalidu City.

Once everything was sorted out, the next step was a waiting process.

Throughout this process, Gu Xi stayed by the Main City Gate, occasionally listening to reports from a few Undead responsible for identification.

”A piece of Blue Quality building material transported back!”

”A piece of Purple Quality wood discovered!”

”Take note, a Small Building Architectural Design Plan discovered. Architects, come over to check the content...”
