Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 565: Chapter 563: The Great Explosion of the Evil God Hall

Since the retreat was planned in advance, Gu Xi’s troops withdrew very quickly.

It took less than a minute for tens of thousands of people to leave completely.

After closing the two city gates, Gu Xi glanced at the time; there were only two minutes left.

Gu Xi decided not to wait any longer. He looked up at the giant hand still holding the Evil God Hall, feeling a bit regretful.

There was no chance to destroy that hand.

If only he hadn’t taken the items from the empty treasure box so soon.

Gu Xi sighed inwardly and muttered to himself: ”Life is not always satisfactory, nine times out of ten.”

He then stepped into the teleportation gate.

Listening to Gu Xi’s words, Fang Kang was speechless.

What is this? You’ve already broken through your path, defeated the Tail King, and taken all the Tail King’s treasure boxes. You call this unsatisfactory life? What more do you want?

Fang Kang muttered while looking up.

He noticed one finger of the hand holding the Evil God Hall seemed to be broken.

An idea appeared in Fang Kang’s mind.

”No way, that guy isn’t thinking about taking down this hand, is he? He must be crazy.”

Muttering over this question, Fang Kang finally decided not to stay behind any longer. There wasn’t much time left, and he didn’t bother worrying about the situation with Li Dangna and the others, stepping through the teleportation gate in a single stride.

Meanwhile, as Gu Xi and the others suspected, Li Dangna abandoned the boss battle and retraced her steps back into the hall.

In the hall, the teleportation gate leading from the Evil God Hall was already open. After all, the Evil God Hall wasn’t a place where death was certain, and it allowed people to leave.

However, Li Dangna or Yuan Xihua weren’t having much luck.

If they had exited within a few moments of each other, they could have left smoothly.

But they ended up running into each other from the path they had just attacked through.

Encountering each other in front of the teleportation gate, they initially suppressed their feelings, intending to leave first and talk later.

But then someone snorted first, and a fight broke out in the hall.

At first, they were mindful of the situation on site, not using deadly force or releasing their troops, engaging with each other—one with an axe, the other with spells.

However, as the fight dragged on, they got caught up.

Ignoring the fact that there were only a few minutes left, they each released their troops, and the two sides engaged in combat in the hall.

Their forces and strength were comparable, but their attack methods differed.

Li Dangna’s mage subordinates had no advantage in close combat and were fewer in number, but they could deliver ranged area attacks.

Yuan Xihua’s puppets were the opposite, strong in close combat and, like Gu Xi’s Undead, didn’t worry about morale and could charge into battle directly.

Most notably, Yuan Xihua had obtained several shiny clothing puppets after defeating the first boss, which had special traits.

They could assemble into each other, bouncing off a majority of attacks if their bodies were connected.

Hence, Yuan Xihua deployed these clothing puppets to deflect Li Dangna’s area attacks.

But what he didn’t expect was that Li Dangna was also ruthless. In her troops, she had a unit of Forbidden Curse Mages.

This was the most terrifying existence within mage troops. Though they needed to be on the battlefield, they never initiated attacks and needed protection.

When needed, they would reveal their power, with their first spell invariably being a forbidden curse.

It’s always a mass destruction.

This time was no different; seeing her spells reflected back, Li Dangna was furious.

”They’re just some ragged clothes. Use the forbidden curse, I don’t believe I can’t burn you down.”

On Li Dangna’s command, only a few Forbidden Curse Mages gathered together, forming a circle, and began chanting spells hand in hand.

But Li Dangna didn’t consider the surroundings.

The spells used by Forbidden Curse Mages are random. When using their spells, it’s only known that they will adapt the spell according to the environment.

When casting spells, they can resonate with the nearby environment, enhancing the spell’s range, lethality, and so on.

In the face of a forbidden curse, perhaps only an existence like a Black Dragon, immune to any magical attacks, could survive.

This time, the Forbidden Curse Mages, as usual, began chanting spells.

However, they activated the explosive energy prepared inside the Evil God Hall.

At the moment the Forbidden Curse Mages acted, it was precisely when Gu Xi stepped into the teleportation gate.

When they released the forbidden curse, it coincided with Fang Kang’s exit.

After Fang Kang left, all the teleportation gates closed, and then the entire Evil God Hall exploded on the spot.

This forbidden curse had prematurely triggered the great explosion of the Evil God Hall.

Initially, Li Dangna thought that a forbidden curse wouldn’t take much time and intended to kill Yuan Xihua with a forbidden curse, leaving her around half a minute to enter the teleportation gate.

At that time, she could still leave alive, having eliminated that annoying Yuan Xihua.

But what she couldn’t have imagined was that the released forbidden curse would turn out like this. As the explosion resounded, flames spread from the Evil God Hall outward.

The sky turned vermillion red.

Below, everyone in Studesstrup World sensed the anomaly in the sky. They all looked up, seeing a new sun appear out of nowhere.

This spectacle lasted less than ten minutes before disappearing.

The sky returned to its original color, only those with sharp eyes could see a red-haired hand quickly retracting from the sky.

And all of this had nothing to do with Gu Xi, Fang Kang, and the others.

Unknown to them, they had left just in time at the last moment.

If they hadn’t left early and planned on escaping in the last few seconds, they might also have perished in the explosion.

After all, with the teleportation gates sealed, their flying speed couldn’t compare to the explosion’s impact wave.

They only knew that after coming out of the teleportation gate, they were immediately knocked to the ground by the explosive impact wave from above, with the scorching air nearly roasting them dry.

Once everything calmed down, Gu Xi got up, observing his surroundings.

He found himself at what seemed to be the center of High Mountain Castle and White Castle.

The recent great explosion had destroyed the nearby colorful buildings.

Now, all around was burned black hard plastic, giving off a pungent smell.

Looking up at the sky, Gu Xi was briefly stunned, saying with a face of lingering fear,

”The timing was off, the explosion was too early.”
