Gu Xi never expected that there would be such a change over here.

But it’s fine, the bodies of the mice are also corpses and can be used for summoning.

However, at this moment, the mice did something unexpected to Gu Xi.

They did not directly charge towards Gu Xi’s defense line but instead pounced on the chef corpses, dragging them to the stoves in the rear to process and prepare for cooking.

Gu Xi was startled by their actions.

Then he quickly realized that these mice were competing with him for the corpses.

This couldn’t be tolerated.

”Attack, kill them! Take back all the corpses!”

Under Gu Xi’s command, the first batch of spectral soldiers charged forward.

They had been waiting on the edge of the battlefield for a long time, but the chefs previously hadn’t reached Gu Xi before being killed, and since Gu Xi wanted to replenish the numbers in the Ghost Squad, he hadn’t deployed them.

Now it was different. After Gu Xi issued the attack order, they rushed out at the first possible moment.

Naturally leading the charge was the hero of the spectral soldiers, Liu Sheng.

Gu Xi noticed that his heroes seemed to have a habit of charging forward on their own initiative.

Liu Sheng, accompanied by two boss-level spectral soldiers, also did so. They rushed to the front line, and Liu Sheng decisively conjured a long spear, lowering the tip and stabbing toward the human-sized mice.

The spear tip was like a bulldozer, skewering seven or eight mice on the spot.

As Liu Sheng began his attack, all the spectral soldiers joined the battle.

The mice did not expect Gu Xi’s troops to charge out proactively, caught off guard, many were killed by the spectral soldiers on the spot.

[Battlefield Ghost (summoned creature) killed Evil Mad Rat (level 7), you gained 1 Experience point, the combat squad gained 1 Experience point, and summoned creatures gained 116 Experience points.]

But unlike the chefs, these mice did have combat strength. They were only initially caught off guard. After reacting, they charged towards the spectral soldiers.

The levels of these mice were relatively high, and their attacks naturally included rapid attack and siege effects.

Meaning, when one mouse was near another, their attack power would increase.

The more mice there were, the higher the attack power.

Although spectral soldiers belong to the Ghost Type and have some immunity to physical attacks, under such all-around assaults, the spectral soldiers began to suffer losses.

Seeing the battlefield situation, Gu Xi waved his hand, ”Ghost Squad, go, drag all the corpses back for me, Electric Zombie, push the battle array forward, prepare to support the spectral soldiers.”

”Isabella, keep an eye on those spectral soldiers, ensure they survive on the battlefield.”

Blood Clone Isabella was now the most suitable medical master for Gu Xi’s battlefield. Upon receiving Gu Xi’s command, the reddish cloud began to move towards the battlefield.

It was unclear how Isabella distinguished between friend and foe, but the falling blood rain served to replenish the health of the spectral soldiers while being useless to the mice.

The mice, after struggling for a long time, managed to injure the spectral soldiers, only to find their wounds healed in an instant.

This dealt a significant blow to the morale of the mice soldiers, and some mice had lost the will to continue fighting.

In contrast, the spectral soldier hero Liu Sheng, upon seeing this situation, immediately made a gesture to attack without holding back.

”Liu Sheng, that’s enough, healing also takes time from the back.”

Seeing Liu Sheng’s action, Gu Xi immediately contacted him.

”Master, it’s fine, it’s just a layer of blood cloud, no problem at all.”

Before Liu Sheng could reply, Isabella said with a smile.

In reality, there weren’t many places on Gu Xi’s side that needed healing.

The combat style of his troops was quite extreme.

When encountering enemies, they’d charge straight in. Either the enemy dies, or they die.

It wasn’t just minor injuries; even severe injuries were rarely seen. Normally, there wasn’t much need for replenishing health.

So Isabella had always been relatively free.

This time, she only used less than one-tenth of her mana, and the life force in the blood cloud hadn’t been exhausted yet.

The battlefield experienced more changes, as some spectral soldiers charged too aggressively, running straight into the puppet chefs.

The spectral soldiers who rushed over had already reached the end, so they didn’t think much. Spotting a mouse perched atop one of the puppet chefs, they struck with a sword, slicing at the mouse.

This mouse had been clamoring loudly, but when struck, it became enraged.

”Do you know what you’ve done? I’ll slice you into pieces and cook you in a soup!”

Saying this, the mouse pulled the puppet chef’s hair, directing it to slash at the spectral soldier.

This spectral soldier was quite strong, certainly not a weak role, having elevated its level from an initial level 4 to a level 7 Battlefield Vanguard due to its battlefield exploits.

Facing the puppet chef’s slash, it initially didn’t take it seriously.

With a frontal sword strike, it aimed to slash at the puppet chef’s head, hoping to take down the mouse.

But little did it expect that the mouse was dead serious. Saying it would slice the spectral soldier into pieces, it really did just that.

Its knife was incredibly fast. As the knife cut, the spectral soldier’s body was sliced open from the arm, ultimately being chopped into pearl-sized, translucent flesh pieces.

The mouse perched atop the puppet chef remarked, ”These flesh pieces dissolve in water, seem perfect for making a broth.”

The death of a single spectral soldier didn’t catch the attention of Liu Sheng and the others, let alone Gu Xi at the rear, as they were still attacking the ordinary mice.

But as they continued fighting, they noticed something amiss: the puppet chefs had entered the battlefield and had easily slain a number of spectral soldiers.

Faced with this situation, Gu Xi immediately adjusted his strategy, deploying two prepared Death Incarnations.

These two Death Incarnations had been waiting for quite some time but had not attacked without Gu Xi’s command.

So, the mouse atop the puppet chef presumed that the two Death Incarnations, like the Ghost Dragon behind Gu Xi, were Gu Xi’s guardians.

As the Death Incarnations charged, the mouse mumbled, ”Bone Dragon, those bones are perfect for roasting. Later, let’s dismantle the Bone Dragon, first roast it over a high flame, then cook it in a broth, and the flavor will be absolutely...”
