While Gu Xi was still puzzled, more than six hundred chefs who had rushed over were all killed under the attacks of the Skeleton Shooters and Skeleton Mages.

Faced with such enemies who disregarded their own strength, ignored any defense, and even charged forward without armor, Gu Xi was somewhat surprised.

A thought arose in his heart: Did he come to the wrong place?

After such a difficult fight before, how could all the small soldiers be defeated so easily this time?

Just as Gu Xi was bewildered, by the stove appeared another batch of identical chefs, who without needing the rat’s command, tossed aside the pots and spatulas in their hands, grabbed kitchen knives from the cutting board, and charged towards Gu Xi again.

Are they unkillable?

Gu Xi was startled, but he still commanded his troops to charge out.

At the same time, Gu Xi opened the Steel City Gate, preparing to use it for defense should anything happen.

The Skeleton Shooters who could kill the enemies were also moved to the gate tower, ready to deal with the enemy.

At the front of the battle array, the Battlefield Ghosts and Electric Zombies prepared for battle, ready to attack as soon as the chefs reached them.

This batch of chefs was no different from the previous ones shot dead by arrows.

All were the type to charge mindlessly halfway before falling dead.

Then the third wave of chefs appeared again by the stove, performing the same actions, charging mindlessly.

After three or four times, Gu Xi also sensed something was amiss.

This is endless, isn’t it?

Although Gu Xi himself wasn’t afraid of them, and even wished for more such weak enemies.

The situation in front of him made Gu Xi feel a little eerie.

Could it be that these chefs are not the key?

Gu Xi’s gaze unconsciously shifted to the massive ingredients on either side of the kitchen.

If these are the key to the BOSS’s move, then... let these chefs die once more.

Weak Level 7 chefs like these might not be encountered again in the future.

If he didn’t take this opportunity to replenish Yalidu City with some undead, it would be a waste.

And so, a balance was formed between Gu Xi and the rat.

Batch after batch of chefs charged to their deaths, and Gu Xi continued to kill them.

In the end, even the weakest Ghost Squad went forward to take advantage of the opportunity to replenish their numbers.

When the twentieth wave of chefs appeared, Gu Xi’s eyes widened. He noticed that the level of the newly spawned chefs had dropped. The originally Level 7 chefs had now become Level 6.

It seems these chefs are not endless after all.

What a pity.

He had thought these chefs could be fought indefinitely.

Looking up at the heap of corpses like a small mountain, Gu Xi thought for a moment and still said, ”It’s already over ten thousand, this should be enough!”

As Gu Xi spoke, a massive red Soul Summoning Tower appeared behind him.

At the moment the Soul Summoning Tower was released, the Soul Fragments of the slain chefs on the battlefield turned into meteors and swiftly flew towards the Soul Summoning Tower.

Gu Xi took a step back and leaned directly against the Soul Summoning Tower, gathering all his mana on the Cold Wind Staff, and then pointed it at the Soul Summoning Tower.

”Soul Summoning Skill!”

Then, the red part of the Soul Summoning Tower rapidly lit up, the red light shot out, falling on the corpse heap outside.

As the red light descended, Gu Xi discovered for the first time that his mana could be consumed so quickly.

Numerous arms reached out from the corpse heap, and the fallen chefs started transforming into various undead.

Skeletons, Zombies, Ghosts.

No special enhancements, no excessive novelty, just the most ordinary units, even without weapons in their hands. Their only advantage was their numbers.

This time, Gu Xi was left with only 1 point of mana, all the rest was invested.

In this wave, he summoned a total of 7599 new undead.

This number was already Gu Xi’s limit, but not the limit of the corpses here.

”Send a few up to take these undead down for reorganization, give them weapons, make them clear the front, Death Incarnations!”

After directing people to guide the newly risen undead away, Gu Xi pointed his Cold Wind Staff outward; under the black mist, two Death Incarnations charged out.

After releasing the Death Incarnations, Gu Xi restrained them.

With such a good opportunity to create undead, Gu Xi wasn’t going to pass it up. Now that the chefs were still charging, he wasn’t planning on wasting it.

So, after more than seven thousand new undead were sent back to Yalidu City to replenish weapons and equipment, Gu Xi’s troops once again began to kill the approaching chefs.

And Gu Xi sat down to drink and replenish his mana, planning to get up once his mana was full to use the Soul Summoning Tower for mass summoning to create more undead.

The rat lying on the puppet’s head didn’t stop any of this, just cursed its useless chef subordinates for not dealing with Gu Xi’s group of rats.

Soon, Gu Xi noticed that something was not quite right, the number of chefs seemed to fall short of his expectations.

Only 10 waves of Level 6 chefs were released, and only 5 waves of Level 5 chefs, then those below Level 4 could only refresh as many times as their level.

After killing off a wave of Level 1 chefs, Gu Xi noticed that no new chefs were refreshing at the stove.

Soon, a ding sounded in Gu Xi’s ear.

[You have killed all the chefs in the Evil God Hall’s kitchen, achieving a feat, Chef Slayer, and received achievement rewards and a title]

[You received the Achievement Statue: Slain Chef.]

[You received the Achievement Title: Violent Gourmet]

[Achievement Statue: Slain Chef (Green), can be built in the city, increasing the chance of chef production by 10% and recipe research speed by 5%.]

[Achievement Title: Violent Gourmet (Green), equipping this title increases the magical effects of consumed food by 5%]

Can such good things happen?

Gu Xi didn’t expect that by wanting to acquire enough undead materials and lingering a bit longer here, he would achieve such results.

It seems that sometimes an unintentional choice can bring many changes to the situation.

Just as this thought crossed his mind, a refreshing light appeared again by the stove.

Excited, Gu Xi wondered if, after clearing the chefs, they would refresh anew?

As he prepared to send his troops to kill the newly refreshed chefs, he saw standing upright giant rats instead of chefs by the stove.

As they refreshed, the rat on the puppet suddenly shouted.

”The chefs are gone, brothers, let the revelry begin!”
