Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 5244: Luo Tianming

Luo Tianming began to perspire.

He guessed that this reincarnated person must be a rogue cultivator even in his previous life since he didn’t appear to know much about World Hegemon Grade resources or alchemy at that level. It wasn’t that rare for there to be World Hegemons that were rogue cultivators since they do prefer to be unbound, but they could not be described as rogue cultivators as they were capable of making their own power anytime they wanted.

They were terrifying forces that any power would try to recruit.

Besides, they could be from another galaxy as well.

He said slowly, ”I don’t think kidnapping me would be useful to senior. My family can provide more help if you think my expertise is up to your standard. I had the opportunity to learn a lot while being stuck here, but it naturally cannot compare to my Luo Family’s complete knowledge of alchemy. Although they’re locked and cannot be pried open since they couldn’t be shared with outsiders, as long as it isn’t the secretive pill recipes and core techniques, I can persuade them to share with you. Besides, I’m also a top disciple of the Dragonheart Battle Sect and have clearance to share most of the sect’s methods, arts, and techniques with outsiders since the top five great sects prefer most of their techniques and knowledge to be spread far and wide to aid the human race.”

”I’m sure senior already knows all of this. It should be fine as long as I vouch that I shared the techniques with you and you don’t credit yourself as creator of those techniques- senior.” He paused and then added.

”...”

Davis remained silent.

He was only worried that the moment the other party knew he was dealing with an Anarchic Divergent, all bets were off the table. Even if the other party backed out of the deal, he could find no fault.

”You can decide if you want to share when we get out and see who I am for yourself. However, I will need what you already promised.”

”Deal!” Luo Tianming clenched his fist as he gave the other party a firm look.

His expression was as though he wouldn’t back out even if it killed him.

Davis said no more.

With a wave of his hand, he captured the Level Nine Empyrean Stage Illusion Spirit.

It had hidden behind a bedrock near the treasure, but affected by his soul’s suppression, it had fainted. He couldn’t tell what kind of spirit it was, but if he couldn’t tell, then it was most likely a Heaven-Tier Empyrean Rank Spirit. Illusion was already a rare element in Primary Laws, so they didn’t appear as much as the other spirits and were still unranked and obscure in the eyes of Upper Realms.

As for Luo Tianming, there was no need to burden him any longer.

His destiny was stolen, and he was trapped for over fifty thousand years.

Davis felt like Luo Tianming should already be on his way to reclaim his destiny instead of being trapped again. He was also interested to see where all these people of great destiny were gathering.

Depending on how fate plays out their destinies, he wanted to see if he could exploit it to gain leverage over the heavens- if that was even possible.

Since he could change fates, how could he not make use of it?

Davis’s thoughts were not simply and he didn’t underestimate the difficulty either. He just felt the need to be more cautious of the inherent yet obscure dangers when using his fate divining and severing abilities.

After sealing the spirit in the Temporal Voidplane Ring that even the secret wasn’t able to suppress, he quickly made his way back with Epsila while Luo Tianming diligently followed.

The more he traced his way back, the more he became excited. He vaguely recalled the paths he took and then became a bit sullen since some people would give hope only to rob it in the end, making him wonder if this Divine Emperor of Death would kill him just before the entrance.

But eventually, he came to understand that his worries were unfounded as he finally managed to stride out of the damned secret realm.

However, he didn’t let his guard down.

He followed the safe path out before arriving at the mountain gate of the city.

”Freedom! Hahahaha!”

He threw his hands up and began to laugh, but soon, he noticed the strangeness.

He walked closer, and as the mist cleared slowly, he looked up and saw purple-white clouds filled the skies. His brows furrowed with suspicion, but he didn’t dwell on it too much as he shot toward the city, eager to hear the voices of the real people.

However, he quickly realized that no one was here.

”This- what’s going on? Have they all evacuated from suffering a beast tide or something?”

He looked around after entering the gates, his expression full of doubt, making him wonder if he was still stuck in an illusion.

When he turned to look at the Divine Emperor of Death for advice, he saw the other party reaching his hand out.

Luo Tianming inwardly cried as he obediently handed over his rings.

”I don’t have anything else with me, but in terms of knowledge, these rings of mine should be worth a minor sect in the Greater Realm due to the abundant knowledge they contain. I still haven’t read all of it through, considering it comprises a bit of World Hegemon Grade Alchemy arts and knowledge along with many other professions, which honestly doesn’t even stay in mind for an Empyrean, but as soon as I reach the Exalt Stage, I would be able to recall them instantly like we always do.”

Davis nodded lightly.

”I’ll give you three days. Once you’ve decided, meet me near the fallen Hexadra Clan’s territory.”

He handed him over a messaging talisman before soaring into the skies and disappearing above the thin layers of white mist.

Luo Tianming, of course, wanted to leave and head back to his sect, reassure his people and his family, not to mention he figured he had a lot to do, find out more about the prick who descended with him and plotted against him, so he paid the Divine Emperor of Death’s words no heed. He took two steps to stroll through the empty city, feeling a bit chilled since the atmosphere was silent and eerie, but he abruptly jolted, feeling his heart sink.

’Fallen... Hexadra Clan? Did the Hexadra Clan finally fall!?’

He inwardly speculated, unable to believe it, as this clan was a complete thorn in the Upper Realms, a venomous and wicked one if he must add. Their reputation wasn’t anything good, and even the upper power Nine-Headed Ocean Villa that had been established long back and improved over the countless years was vile and tenacious.

He absentmindedly gazed around, wondering what kind of upheaval the Upper Realms and even the Greater Realm had experienced while he was trapped. Suddenly, he noticed a few posters on the wanted list that every gate in a city would more or less have.

His pupils instantly dilated as he saw the blonde-haired man with sapphire eyes, but they quivered in horror as he also managed to glimpse the hidden words imbued on them, ”Desolate Divergent - threat greater than an Anarchic Divergent!?”

He couldn’t even glance at the reward further below before his soul nearly left his body.

He had frozen on the spot, barely looking up, only to see a flying boat leaving the land.

============

During the time Davis secured the Dark Eon Illusory Dream Flower, Fairy Qiyra Darkstar had gone to three places, managing to harvest two treasures at the World Hegemon Grade.

Fairy Glacia Frigidveil had also finished a harvest, managing to claim one. She had a long travel period and had only gotten to the east by now.

Jaiyan, on the other hand, managed to harvest as much as three resources in the central zone since he had arrived earlier and found the sites near each other. Davis’s avatar also accompanied him. However, they were also the first ones to encounter some trouble as they found themselves surrounded by the forces of three major powers who wanted to vie for the treasure on the fourth site.

The treasure had attracted everything in its vicinity in a bid to survive like most treasures do- release a sky phenomenon.

Meanwhile, Davis directly descended on the Hexadra Clan’s headquarters, knowing there was a treasure here. Considering the Hexadra Clan left in a hurry, if they deigned to take this, then their escape might not have succeeded. He had only descended to confirm that if they had taken the treasure, but he met with a familiar face instead.

Davis quickly turned around, wanting to leave.

”Since you came, why not stay for some tea?”

”Why are you everywhere? Dammit!”

Davis cursed under his breath as he saw yet another Celestial Transcendent’s avatar block his path. It had only been nine hours since their battle, but by this time, he wondered how many avatars had descended to this realm.
