Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 5237: Splitting Up To Find The Treasures

Davis and the others successfully managed to escape from the Heaven’s Warriors.

After hiding the obsidian flying palace with Laphria Rinmei’s illusion and Fairy Qiyra Darkstar’s twilight, the treasure hunting group set out in different directions.

Davis, Handsome Fatty, Illumina, and Epsila were a team. They headed north first, but Illumina had used the Myriad Body Cascade Technique, summoning thirty-two more of her clones. She had sent them scouring nearly all the thirty-four points of interest.

Illumina had been a Nethermoon Mirage Rabbit, a species that was seen in Upper Realms as they had migrated from the Nether Dimension long ago or vice versa, which she couldn’t tell.

They were known for their ability to conceal and cast illusions and made for great assassins with their species technique, Myriad Body Cascade, which allowed them to create over an unknown number of dark yet illusory bodies that lasted up to three days while carrying a percentage of their strength.

She was the one who would decide what percentage of her strength they would carry based on the amount of energy she distributed to them.

When split into thirty-two, if they each carried one percent of her energy, they all would have thirty percent of her prowess, which was still equivalent to a Level Nine Exalt.

If they each carried two percent of her energy, they all would have fifty percent of her prowess, which was still equivalent to a Level Eleven Exalt.

If they carried three percent of her energy, they would have seventy percent of her prowess, which was still equivalent to a Level Thirteen Exalt.

But due to her evolution into a Spectral Gloomveil Rabbit and having even become a True Exalt Beast, even a distribution of one percent of energy to each one of her clones would allow them to have at least seventy to eighty percent of her prowess. These clones still lasted only three days due to their illusory nature and were barely capable of unleashing a single learned technique since their energy was so low. Hence, other than killing off low-stage cultivators, they wouldn’t hold a candle to equal-level cultivators in a frontal battle unless they all attacked together.

Clearly, this technique was disposed towards assassination, where the lowest amount of energy is used to quickly kill the opponent.

In the hands of a Spectral Gloomveil Rabbit, this technique became even more ridiculously powerful.

If these clones survived and returned or were nearby when they dispersed naturally, their energy would return to her.

During the battle with Venerable Knight Lussandra and two more Venerable Knights back during Davis’ Empyrean Heavenly Tribulation, she had unleashed the Myriad Cascade Body Technique fully in order to defend Davis, each clone of hers possessing nearly ninety percent of her strength while having two percent of her energy.

This only allowed her to have around of thirty five percent of her energy to maneuver and defend against the two arrows of Venerable Knight Lussandra.

In the recent battle in the Galaxy Wormhole to protect Evelynn, she had only unleashed clones that held one percent of her energy, so they were quickly dispatched by the enemies. This allowed her to retain massive amounts of energy for herself and defend Evelynn better.

This time around, she unleashed the same since her clones were just scouts to find these resources. They carried a prowess equivalent to a Level Thirteen Stage cultivator, naturally able to reach near-layer limit with their shadow energy, but would quickly end up using their energy if they fought at their fullest capacity.

Comparatively, Davis could only think about how overpowered the Celestial Transcendent’s avatars were since the latter had like hundreds at the Second Layer’s layer limit, each one comparable to an Absolute Primarch at the layer limit, and they seemingly don’t expire.

Fairy Qiyra Darkstar’s destination was west of the Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm, but they were already west, so she might be able to quickly chance upon a World Hegemon Grade treasure.

Fairy Glacia Frigidveil headed east along with an entourage of Illuminas. Although it was a long distance, it shouldn’t pose trouble for an expert at the layer limit. Still, they were all using flying boats equipped with extreme propulsion and warp mechanisms, so they would not be exhausted easily.

Jaiyan handled the central zone.

It was in the central zone where the Galaxy Wormhole Battlefield existed, while the Eighth Bastion Cities were also here, near the edge of the southern border. Davis’s tribulation site, the source of the Desolate Era- now the source of the Golden Era- was also near the edge of the southern border but from the southern side.

As for the south, Davis’s team will head by themselves later since it was the Southern Abyssal Tidal Sea, an endless ocean covering nearly more than a quarter of the realm itself! Other than the natural dangers and the deep pressure of the vast ocean, it would be extremely dangerous.

”Treasures aside, what do you intend to do about consolidating power to help your family’s Realm Master candidate? I’m telling you, overseeing a Realm is no easy feat. You need a big, very big family or a host of allies willing to work for you with the utmost loyalty or simply fear.”

Handsome Fatty sat on the flying boat as he asked, even seemingly advising Davis.

It seemed as though he really wanted to be the Realm Master’s Advisor.

Davis’s pondering expression receded as he turned to look at Handsome Fatty.

”How do you intend to proceed with this?”

Handsome Fatty asked solemnly, causing Davis to ponder again.

He hadn’t thought of how to rule when he had brought that up to the Celestial Transcendent because he already had a way. He was just wondering if it was the right, or rather, approved way since the Celestial Transcendent would be overseeing it.

With a flick of his sleeve, he summoned Morvane Family’s Patriarch, Grayscale Poison Hound Clan’s Patriarch, Blackcurse Voidfang Eel Clan’s Patriarch, and the Abyssal Radiance Empire’s Grand Elder from his life ring. They were soul bodies since he had left them behind in the Eighth Bastion City.

”...!?”

The Handsome Fatty was stunned.

He recognized this bunch of people, even knowing their cultivations and battle prowess, as they were famous people who were once considered supreme geniuses since they were supreme geniuses whose names spread far and wide in the realm. Even now, they could be called as a Heavenly Primarch like there were Heavenly Sovereigns and Heavenly Autarchs, a distinction for supreme geniuses. As Heavenly Primarchs, it meant that their prowess was two levels higher.

They were mostly at Level Seven Primarch Stage, with only the Morvane Family Patriarchs at Level Eight Primarch Stage.

Handsome Fatty wasn’t bothered since his own prowess overarched theirs, but what he was bothered about was their status.

He turned to look at Davis, wondering why the heck he had family leaders under his palms, but then recalled Enigmatic Heart Laws.

”You’re scary!” He exclaimed at Davis.

Davis chuckled, ”With them, you can get their help to form an alliance.”

”An alliance...” Handsome Fatty was stunned.

Davis continued with a soul transmission, ”Although I don’t see the Abyssal Radiance Empire forming an alliance with us since they would have their younger generation fight for the position of the Realm Master, you can still get some covert protection or have a hidden spy in the Abyssal Radiance Empire.”

”...”

Handsome Fatty was speechless, wondering if Davis had thought way ahead.

He could not understand how one could plan for the Golden Era to appear and the Celestial Transcendent to accept his family’s non-Divergents.

He closed his eyes and looked at the skies as though he had achieved nirvana.

Finally, in his millions of years of life, a brother with a golden leg had appeared for him to latch onto.

Davis felt a chill. He immediately raised his hand, ”Don’t pounce on me. I’m warning you.”

”Fine...” Handsome Fatty clenched his teeth, holding himself back before he uttered with a wide smile, ”This is great. If we have three major clans behind us, then the alliance would form by itself when more powers start to rally behind the giants like the Abyssal Radiance Empire and the Dark Evermore Temple. Now that the Hexadra Clan is gone, only these two would compete, and maybe there might be an unexpected dark horse. But all you need to do is win the Realm Master competition, and the major powers would start to rally behind us of their own accord. Who are you sending?”

”That would be my first son.” Davis said proudly after he took back the soul bodies of the mind-controlled allies.

”First son... what kind of character is he?”

The Handsome Fatty looked intrigued.

Davis’s lips curled. He shot a good look at the fatty before moving his lips.

”More handsome than you.”

”Arghhh!”

The Handsome Fatty instantly raged.

Davis inwardly sighed as he sensed those genuine emotions. How can one be so fixated on the word ’handsome’?

Nonetheless, he began describing his first son in a prideful tone.

”Not only handsome like me, but also brave enough to travel, cunning enough to survive, deadly and ruthless enough to make his enemies regret messing with him. He carries himself with elegance unlike me, but when he takes out his innate scythes, the enemy will only be left with life-ending injuries since he poisons them to death. He is also protective of his twin sister and his siblings. He understands that he is the first son of the Davis Family and oversees operations with responsibility even though I said I wouldn’t pass the authority down to him.”

”I suppressed him from getting together with women in his teenage days because the chances of him falling into the dangers of debauchery were high due to his innate disposition and bloodline, but also denied him his birthright of being a Crown Prince or a Young Master, a position that comes with the finest resources. My family distributes resources to the children in a manner of equal distribution towards all as long as they show promise. Hence, he is only a Young Master in name, but that alone makes the others respect him to no end.”

Davis chuckled, ”This allowed them to climb without dragging down their siblings. Still, I made his life as hard as possible even with the love and affection I displayed, molding him into the person who knows I will take care of his mother and the family in the event I get sealed.”

He gazed into the skies as he continued, ”Although his prowess is currently lacking compared to the true supreme geniuses of the Greater Realm, who else is more fit to become the Realm Master than him in my family?”

”...”

The Handsome Fatty quieted down as he listened, starting to have more expectations for this youngster from the Davis Family.
