Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 5218: Third Summit

”This is the third time we’re convening the Realm Master Summit in a single decade...”

A solemn voice of a man echoed in a colossal platform emitting a prismatic radiance, which floated above many immortal palaces and buildings. This radiance spread out to sixteen different colors, each forming a throne.

These thrones were already occupied by a silhouette, except for one throne.

Everyone’s gaze left the throne before they fell on the throne of Severance Fang Overlord, the Realm Master of the Emperor Cobra Upper Realm, Ssylar Serpenzal.

He continued, ”Everyone is present except Darksea Abyss Venerate, Malzor Hexadra. It seemed like the rumors of him betraying our human race’s galaxy were really true.”

”...”

The Realm Masters looked solemn when a furious voice echoed.

”I know that bastard was going to do something like this when he had committed so many crimes and managed to make others take the blame for him!”

The Star Blossom Fairy, Realm Master of the Radiant Blossom Upper Realm, rose to her feet and smashed the round table with her fist, causing a huge thud to echo.

”Enough of that traitor who planned more deviously than anyone else in this room. We, neighbor realms, have already received word from the Supreme One to bring our armies to the edge of the Realm Pathway leading to the Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm in case the Divine Emperor of Death tried to escape, but to think that it might be useful against the invasion of the hydras. More importantly, ” The White Flash Fairy, Realm Master of the Thundering Serenity Upper Realm, spoke in a cold yet solemn voice as she panned her gaze.

”The Desolate Era has truly started receding.”

”So it’s true!?”

”Has the Divine Emperor of Death been taken down, sealed, or...”

The Star Blossom Fairy and the Severance Fang Overlord asked with doubtful expressions, one in disbelief and the other in nervousness.

The other Realm Masters didn’t look any better beyond their silhouettes.

They had received mixed reports on the state of the two battlefields in the Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm.

It takes time to verify it, even if the information arrived first through karmic means.

Some say the Divine Emperor of Death had died.

Then it said he had died quite a few times. Then it said he was nearly sealed. Then it said he wasn’t sealed. Then it said he destroyed one of the Celestial Transcendent’s avatars.

Each news was more explosive than the last, so much so that they wanted to destroy whichever group of Mystic Diviners or intelligence organizations it was that was relaying all this information.

Then, a piece of news came that said: The Divine Emperor of Death reversed the Desolate Era.

There was another news that also said: The Divine Emperor of Death’s wife, Hex Demoness, has used a terrifying poison replica to temporarily make the Galaxy Wormhole impassable.

For a moment, they could only wonder if the Divine Emperor of Death had taken over their intelligence organizations and even mind-controlled the Heaven’s Warriors and Mystic Diviners. After all, they were well aware that he had reached the State of Divine Possession.

They knew comprehending it put him leagues above everyone else in most cases, but was it supposed to be this terrifying?

Then there came the news that the Supreme One allowed him to leave for overturning the Desolate Era and bringing about the Golden Era, even giving him seven days of reprieve to leave the realm.

This was... insane!

In their opinion, wasn’t this the best time to seal the Divine Emperor of Death? What was this weird show of acknowledgment towards a Divergent? Someone who was known to be the first Desolate Divergent to boot? A calamity of unprecedented scale.

Unable to take these sets of information properly and seeing the desolate air recede, they convened the Sixteen Firmament Real Master Summit, especially in hopes of clearing out the misunderstandings, but they all appeared to be as clueless as the others.

”Mistwalker, Tigerius, and Swors Ironhearth, did you three not hear anything from the two battlefields? You are also neighbors with the Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm, aren’t you? I won’t let you say you three haven’t heard anything.”

Alric Dawnbreaker, Realm Master of the Virtuous Dawn Upper Realm, hurriedly asked.

The Supreme One’s avatar, seated beside him, also wanted to know what the hell happened.

”I haven’t.”

The Dream Shadow Fairy of the Mistwalker Family, Realm Master of the Prismatic Dream Upper Realm, said softly, yet her voice sounded with a hollow tone, ”Other than receiving the same order to gather with our army at the edge of the Realm Pathway leading to the Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm, nothing else was informed to us.”

”Same,” The Sacred Savage Emperor, Realm Master of the Sacred Tiger Upper Realm, coldly said.

”Similarly haven’t heard any official orders after that.” Swors Ironhearth, the Grandcrest Forge Patriarch, Realm Master of Forgeheart Peak Upper Realm, said with a wry smile.

”But I do suppose if everything we heard was true, it makes sense for the Supreme One to grant the Divine Emperor of Death some leniency.”

”What are you saying? This is a Desolate Divergent we’re talking about.”

The White Flash Fairy turned to look at him with narrowed eyes.

”Scary...”

Swors Ironhearth raised his hands in surrender, even though he was the senior here and could even be considered an elder among these young Realm Masters.

”It’s true.”

*Bzzzz!~*

The gazes of the fifteen Realm Masters moved up as they saw the Celestial Transcendent descending.

Instantly, they went on their knees and cupped their hands, indicating their allegiance to the human race in this strange wartime.

”The Golden Era is officially upon us.” The Celestial Transcendent didn’t waste time speaking superficial words.

He got straight to the point, informing them of his battle with the Divine Emperor of Death without leaving any details other than personal matters.

The Realm Masters felt their hearts tremble as they heard him say that the Divine Emperor of Death had fallen to the rank of an Anarchic Divergent after being acknowledged by the universe.

”Supreme One, we must seal this truth. The galaxy can never know about this matter!” Alric Dawnbreaker waved his hand.

If even the people acknowledged that the Divine Emperor of Death really brought about the Golden Era, then karma would flood the Divine Emperor of Death. In that case, any severe, destructive action he took would badly affect the karmic luck of the Golden Era!

It could lead to the early demise of the Golden Era.

”Numerous people witnessed this battle. It is impossible to conceal it completely. Besides, even if we can, are you honestly expecting me to take the credit from a junior?”

”I don’t dare!”

The Celestial Transcendent raised his brows, causing Alric Dawnbreaker to shake his head vehemently.

The former chuckled, ”Don’t sweat it. The Golden Era is literally karmic luck manifested for the universe. The laws of the universe have acknowledged the Divine Emperor of Death’s efforts somehow, so it will take this era everywhere else as much as it can before dispersing. The Divergents would have little effect on it unless they grew to the Hierarch Stage. Naturally, the Divine Emperor of Death won’t be an Anarchic Divergent for long because of his growth tendency, but at this point, what we should be worried about is the galaxy invasion and the loss of purer heaven and earth energy to other galaxies.”

”Did the Hell Hydra Monarch really appear?” The Star Blossom Fairy asked worriedly.

She hated hydras to the core, but even their monstrous ruler was here now?

”Indeed. I fought with him with three of my avatars and managed to contain him by sealing the area with my chaotic arts. As for Malzor Hexadra, he tried to enter the realm again in an effort to aid the Hell Hydra Monarch, but he was thwarted by a special person who cut off his connection to the Realm Core by advancing to the Empyrean Stage and forming a connection with it, unbinding it from Malzor Hexadra.”

”What? Who is it?” The Severance Fang Overlord looked stunned.

It wasn’t easy to sever a connection with an active Realm Master who had spent a lot of time nurturing the realm with the Realm Core, even if they were being blocked by a dimension’s influence, such as the Asura Dimension, which seemed to have opened in the Galaxy Wormhole Battlefield.

”She goes by the name Madam Wesley, the bearer of the World Hydra Spirit Blessing and hence, possesses karmic luck to better form a connection with the Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm.”
