Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 298: Chapter 297 Business Cooperation

He discovered the problem, and An Hao naturally noticed it too.

”Being a model isn’t a free job,” she said as she walked to the back to change clothes, only to be stopped by the boss. ”Beauty, let’s discuss something. How about you come to my store every day to model for me? I’ll pay you three yuan a day, ninety yuan a month, plus lunch.”

An Hao hadn’t even had a chance to refuse when Zhang Lanxiang, who had been listening by the side, first objected, ”Look, young man, you’ve got some pretty ideas there. Our An Hao can’t model for you, so just give up on that thought.”

”Really can’t?” the boss asked unwillingly.

An Hao shook her head, ”Can’t.”

”That’s a pity, this is a business opportunity. It’s such a pity we can’t collaborate,” the boss sighed with regret.

”Who said we can’t collaborate?” An Hao had already done the math for him, ”Boss, if you want to sell this well every day, you first need to ensure you have a steady supply of goods, right? You’re getting your goods from Guangzhou and have to go through so many middlemen that most of the profit margin is taken by them. Thus, the price of the clothes is naturally high. If you can get the fabric for making jeans, maybe I can help you produce in large quantities.”

”Really?” The boss’s eyes lit up.

”Of course it’s true,” An Hao said seriously.

”Don’t kid me now, I can really get the fabric. When my buddy was bringing in a shipment of clothes, he also got a piece of fabric, thinking about whether he could make some jeans out of it. But the thing is, the clothing factories in the city only take big orders; they won’t accept the small ones like ours.”

”Why?” An Hao asked, puzzled. Aren’t more orders better?

”Without a pattern and some research required, making just a few dozen pairs isn’t worth the meager profit and effort,” the boss murmured. ”An Hao, was it? If you can really supply me with jeans, I’ll collaborate with you. We can sell at a slightly higher price. I’ll provide the fabric and the processing fee, and we split the profit 30 to 70, how about that?”

Since they hadn’t started collaborating yet, issues involving Liu Run weren’t mentioned by the boss just yet.

But An Hao thought since the boss was willing to put in so much effort for this, it must be quite profitable.

”Good. It’s a deal. I’ll go back and start making the clothes. Once the finished product is ready, I’ll bring it to you to check. If you think it’s fine, we can start collaborating, how does that sound?”

”Done, it’s a deal,” the boss agreed promptly.

Zhang Lanxiang was also sharp-witted; seeing that An Hao was about to do business with the boss, she seized the opportunity to say to the boss, ”Now that you’re partners, and An Hao has been your model for half a day, how about giving her a pair of jeans?”

The boss was quick to respond, ”You’ve got it, you really are a good businesswoman. I’m a straightforward person; I like An Hao, this beautiful lady, and I can tell at a glance that you, big sister, are a person of status. Without saying anything else, just for An Hao being my model for a while, I’ll give her these jeans, and let’s throw in the white shirt as well.”

Zhang Lanxiang was overjoyed, ”The boss is indeed a straightforward person! Just for that spirit, you are definitely going to make a fortune in the future!”

An Hao said with a smile, ”The boss is also a smart man! Me walking out dressed like this is essentially free advertising for you! So, the boss not only has a high IQ but also a high EQ. If you don’t make a fortune, who will?”
