Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 262: Chapter 260: Causing Trouble

”Bai Xue Mei, what’s wrong with you?”

Her sudden convulsions terrified everyone.

”I... I’m looking for my daughter... An Hao...” Bai Xue Mei rolled her eyes back, her expression frighteningly eerie.

”Could it be... she isn’t having a seizure, is she?” The villagers referred to epileptic seizures as ’seizures.’

”I don’t know! Should we take her to the village clinic?”

As a group of village women were in disarray, Bai Xue Mei suddenly collapsed to the ground. When she opened her eyes again, she seemed like a completely different person.

”Xue Mei, are you okay? Don’t scare us like that!”

Bai Xue Mei looked at the group with a sinister gaze and said, ”What Bai Xue Mei! I am An Hao’s mother. I’m looking for my daughter An Hao and my son An Ping...”

Saying this, Bai Xue Mei, her body rigid, walked towards An Hao’s home.

”Oh dear, isn’t this possession by a ghost?”

”Indeed. An Hao and An Ping just returned from the grave, and Bai Xue Mei started having seizures—must be An Hao’s mother’s spirit possessing her.”

”Exactly! The An family is in for some excitement now.”

”Let’s go, follow them and see.”

These old dames, loving a bit of chaos, all followed Bai Xue Mei to An Hao’s house.

Along the way, she deliberately made a round trip to old Qin residence, pacing back and forth at the doorstep, muttering under her breath, ”I want to see what my future son-in-law’s family looks like.”

So, she stalked around the Qin family’s courtyard expressionless and with a piercing gaze before walking out.

Li Junping was inside doing needlework when she heard the commotion in her yard and stepped outside, becoming somewhat baffled by the scene.

”What’s going on? Aunt Liu!” She randomly grabbed someone and asked.

”Bai Xue Mei is possessed by a ghost.”

”What?” Liu Junping was startled, ”How could such misfortune happen in broad daylight?”

A bunch of old ladies babbled the story to Liu Junping, making her break out in a cold sweat.

To find out what was really going on, she followed Bai Xue Mei and the noisy crowd directly to An Hao’s home.

Just returned from the grave and soaked by rain, An Hao and An Ping had just changed out of their wet clothes and were about to take them to the yard to wash, when they saw Bai Xue Mei enter with an abnormal expression, followed by a crowd of onlookers.

”Bai Xue Mei, why are you here at my house? You’re not welcome here!” An Hao put down the basin, hands on her hips, frowning at Bai Xue Mei.

But Bai Xue Mei, staring fixedly at An Hao for a long time, suddenly reached out to embrace her, ”My daughter, my poor daughter! I am your mother!”

An Hao felt repulsed and pushed Bai Xue Mei away, stepping back two steps and looking at her warily, wondering what mischief she was up to this time.

Bai Xue Mei, stunned by An Hao’s rejection, sat down in the middle of the An family’s courtyard and started to cry, ”An Hao, oh An Hao, your mother thinks of you and An Ping every day. I don’t know if your stepmother Bai Xue Mei has been kind to you? You’re all grown up now, and it’s time to talk about marriage... I don’t know if your in-laws will be good to you. Your birth chart is unfortunate, a lonely star of death, I’ve had your fortune told, at thirteen you will bring death to your mother, at twenty, to your father, at twenty-two, to your husband...”

Li Junping, listening from the crowd, felt a chill down her spine as these words spilled out.

So An Hao’s fate is this dire.

If she were really to marry Qin Jian, could she actually bring death to her son?
