Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 286: Chapter 285 She Cheats

She could never have imagined that Song Yueqin would accuse her of plagiarism on the day of the college entrance examination.

Before An Hao could come to her senses, she heard Shen Zhihua’s voice, filled with anger, explode in the classroom, ”Song Yueqin, what nonsense are you spouting? Do you realize that your irresponsible actions could ruin An Hao’s future!”

Future?

Song Yueqin had no future of her own, so why should she care about someone else’s?

Besides, she intended to destroy An Hao’s future!

”I’m not talking nonsense! Teacher, I am very responsible when I say, An Hao has plagiarized!” Song Yueqin’s voice rang out loudly once again.

An Hao slowly stood up from her seat, feeling all her blood rush to her brain. She turned around, locked eyes with Song Yueqin, and said word by word, ”Song Yueqin, don’t slander me! I know you’re jealous of me, and we should leave our everyday grudges in the past. But if you bring that hatred to the exam, you are deliberately trying to ruin me!”

”I’m not slandering!” Song Yueqin looked into An Hao’s eyes, her lips curling into a smile, ”An Hao, plagiarism is plagiarism. I wouldn’t make baseless accusations.”

Cheating on the college entrance exam is a very serious matter!

If discovered, the scores for that subject will be canceled!

Just think about it, An Hao was aiming for the prestigious Military Medical University. If even one subject’s score is voided, how would she get into university?

Moreover, Political review is required for admission to the Military Medical University.

If there is a blemish on a student’s record, they would definitely miss out on such a university.

So, when An Hao was about to receive a major demerit at school, she fought desperately to keep her record clean and unblemished!

”Invigilator! I am the class president; An Hao is one of the top students in our school, she would never cheat! I guarantee this with my integrity!” Shen Zhihua said, panicking.

An Hao’s classmates, who were in the same class with her, also didn’t believe she would do such a thing. Seeing the class president speaking up to help, they all started to speak out too.

On hearing this, Song Yueqin laughed disdainfully, ”You guarantee with your integrity? Why should anyone believe you? We must rely on evidence!”

The invigilator asked Song Yueqin, ”You are reporting this student for cheating. Where is your evidence?”

”She has cheat sheets in her pocket, I saw her stuff them in!” Song Yueqin pointed at An Hao’s pocket as she spoke.

”Impossible!” An Hao glared at her angrily, ”I have absolutely nothing in my pocket!”

”Whether there is or isn’t, you’ll know once you take it out!” Song Yueqin watched her, a cold smile in her eyes.

”This student, please empty your pockets to show us,” the invigilator said.

An Hao had not cheated, so naturally, she was not afraid.

She reached out to empty her pocket, only to unexpectedly find several small slips of paper.

At the sight of the slips, it felt like her head buzzed, ”These aren’t mine! I absolutely did not cheat!”

In this era, there were no surveillance cameras in the examination room; it was all based on the invigilators’ supervision. Seeing cheat sheets was equivalent to cheating, even if there was no act of cheating. Just the presence of cheat sheets signified a suspicion of cheating, and this severe infraction could lead to the cancellation of the exam scores for the subject!

”If you didn’t cheat, where did these cheat sheets come from?” the invigilator asked sternly.

By then, An Hao had collected her thoughts and pointed at Song Yueqin, ”They’re hers! They must be hers! She’s trying to frame me!”

”Frame you? I think cheating in the exam is unfair to everyone! That’s why I’m reporting you!” Song Yueqin insisted vehemently.
