Building a Technological Power Starting with the Type 59 missile and Going Astray in Technological Development

Chapter 50: Mr. Wei: Boy, you really don’t come to my palace for no reason!Chapter 50: Mr. Wei: You kid, you really don’t come to me for no reason!

How could Lin Chenran deceive the Yan State’s military leader, Mr. Wei!

Isn’t this like a birthday star hanging himself - he wants to die too long?
He is not stupid!
After Lin Chenran confirmed it again and again, a hearty laugh came from the other end of the phone: ”Haha, good! Good!”

”Lin, letting you be the director of the 077 Mechanical Military Factory is the wisest decision we have ever made.”

”From the Type 59 civilian engineering vehicle at the beginning, to the second-generation main battle tanks later, and now the special steel, all of them prove how correct our original choice was.”

Mr. Wei said with relief.

Lin Chenran nodded secretly in his heart: It is true
In fact, a long time ago, Lin Chenran had wondered why he could become the director of the 077 Mechanical Military Factory.

And now, Mr. Wei’s words have finally solved the mystery.

”You are the kind of guy who never comes to visit me for no reason. This time you called me, it must be more than just to congratulate me!”

”Tell me, what else is there?”

With a smile on his face, Mr. Wei guessed the real intention of Lin Chenran’s call.

Lin Chenran scratched his head awkwardly.

Seeing this, Song Xiyun on the side quickly walked aside and laughed out loud. He really couldn’t help it.

Lin Chenran felt even more embarrassed when he saw this.

You can dig out a ”three-bedroom, one-living-room” apartment with your toes.

Seeing that Lin Chenran had not replied yet, Elder Wei on the other end of the phone impatiently urged, ”Lin, do you have it? If not, I will hang up! Come to the 077 Mechanical Military Factory and take a close look at the special steel you make.”

After saying that, he pretended to hang up the phone.

When Lin Chenran heard this, he immediately became anxious and shouted, ”No, no, no, Mr. Wei, please don’t hang up the phone so quickly!”

Old Wei was secretly pleased with himself, thinking that this boy really had something to ask of him, but he pretended to be impatient and said, ”What’s the matter? What’s the matter? Tell me now!”

Lin Chenran hurriedly explained: ”Mr. Wei, you are really a prophet! I do need your help with something, and only you can help me solve this problem.”

After hearing this, Wei Lao couldn’t help but raise his lips slightly, secretly delighted: ”Humph, I don’t believe that I can’t subdue you, Monkey King.”

However, he still suppressed his smile and asked in a serious tone, ”Oh? Really? Then tell me what it is that only I can help you with?”

”Tell me! I can help, I will definitely help!”

Lin Chenran got straight to the point and said, ”Mr. Wei, I want to use the T72 tank to test the special steel made by our 077 Mechanical Military Factory.”

After expressing his intention in a firm tone, he continued to explain: ”You also know that the main weapon of the 59 tank is only a 100mm smoothbore gun, which is relatively backward in performance and power.”

”Our future second-generation main battle tanks will compete fiercely with the main battle tanks of various countries. Without detailed data support, how can we ensure that our tanks can gain an advantage?”

”I heard that the military imported a T72 tank from another country a few years ago and handed it over to the 617 Mechanical Arms Factory for various data measurement and imitation work.”

After hearing this, Mr. Wei on the other end of the phone understood instantly!
Using the Type 59 tank to test special steel will make it difficult to prove that special steel is truly powerful, even if it ultimately wins.

Because the 59 tank is a product before the s, and now it has entered the s.

With the rapid development of science and technology, military equipment is also changing with each passing day.

If the special steel is tested using outdated Type 59 tanks, the data obtained may not be accurate.

After all, the performance of the 59 tank has long been very backward.

Now Lin Chenran proposes to use the T72 tank to compete head-on with the special steel manufactured by the 077 Mechanical Military Factory, which is understandable!

Mr. Wei will strongly support it without any hesitation.

But Elder Wei didn’t know the situation of the T72 tank. ”Lin, your suggestion is indeed good, but the problem is whether the T617 tanks in the hands of the 72 Mechanical Military Factory can still operate normally and fire armor-piercing shells. I don’t know these things.”

”After all, this tank has been stored at the 617 Mechanical Arsenal for several years. We need to ask them about its specific situation.”

Mr. Wei first agreed with Lin Chenran’s idea, but at the same time he poured cold water on him, reminding him not to be too optimistic.

Because there is still uncertainty as to whether this T72 tank can still drive normally and fire armor-piercing shells.

”I know, I just want to fight for it!”

Lin Chenran continued, ”You need to speak up for this matter. After all, you have more face than us.”

”Although we have a good relationship with Mr. Zhu, you should know that Mr. Zhu is not the only senior executive at the 617 Mechanical Military Factory!”

Lin Chenran took the opportunity to flatter him, saying that this matter still depended on Mr. Wei to step forward.

After all, people’s hearts are hidden, and no one knows what other people are thinking.

Lin Chenran also didn’t want to make things difficult for Mr. Zhu.

Directly inform the top military officials of the 617 Mechanical Arsenal. Even if the other party has any grievances, they will have to keep it to themselves.

Also, this T72 tank does not belong to the 617 Mechanical Military Factory, but to the Yan State military.

In order to better develop new tanks, the Yan State military placed this T72 tank in the 617 Mechanical Military Factory, allowing them to carry out various disassembly and drawing operations.

Elder Wei understood instantly and smiled: ”You kid, you really don’t come to the temple for no reason, and you always make a mess for me.”

”I finally understand why you didn’t tell Old Man Lin that the trap was set here and let me jump into the trap you designed.”

Just as Lin Chenran was about to explain, Elder Wei’s tone changed: ”No problem, I’ll contact the 617 Mechanical Military Factory and ask them to fix the T72 tank as best they can.”

”If it really can’t be repaired, then you can find another way.”

Mr. Wei gave Lin Chenran a ”vaccination” in advance.

”No problem. If this T72 tank is really scrapped, then I can think of other ways to test the special steel we made.”

Lin Chenran secretly breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that Mr. Wei agreed to his request.

”Then wait for my call!”

”If possible, I will arrange for someone to deliver this T72 tank to the experimental site of your 077 Mechanical Arsenal.”

”And I will come to your 077 Mechanical Arsenal in three days.”

After Mr. Wei finished speaking, he hung up the phone without waiting for Lin Chenran to react.

”Beep beep...”

Lin Chenran didn’t react for a moment.

Song Xiyun walked over.

”Mr. Wei has agreed to our request and will come to our 077 Mechanical Arsenal for a close inspection in three days.”

”Please make some arrangements here. We can’t be careless with such a high-ranking leader.”

Lin Chenran gently ”covered” the phone and then spoke to Song Xiyun.

”No problem, I know how to do it!”

Song Xiyun then left the factory director’s office and went out to arrange matters of all sizes.
