Building a Technological Power Starting with the Type 59 missile and Going Astray in Technological Development

Chapter 23 Lin Chenran: I was pushed up to explainChapter 23 Lin Chenran: I was pushed up to explain

Mr. Zhu from the 617 Mechanical Arsenal did not ask anyone for help. He took difficult steps and staggered onto the podium.

Because his right arm was blown off during a mortar test in front of the enemy, and he is missing an arm, his sense of balance is affected.

Many military leaders and representatives from several mechanical military factories in the audience gave Mr. Zhu a warm round of applause.

Suddenly, the entire conference room erupted in thunderous applause.

This is Mr. Zhu!
A key figure who carries Yan Country’s tanks forward.

He is also a legendary figure who supports half of the glorious history of Yan State tanks.

After Zhu Lao stepped onto the podium, he first bowed deeply to everyone present and expressed his gratitude: ”Thank you everyone!”

Then, Mr. Zhu began to explain in detail to a group of Yan State military personnel and many representatives of mechanical military factories on the scene the second-generation main battle tank program independently designed and developed by their 617 Mechanical Military Factory.

After listening to the introduction for a while, a look of surprise that was hard to conceal suddenly appeared on Lin Chenran’s originally calm face.

He thought to himself, ”It’s true!”

Just as he had expected, the second-generation main battle tank designed and developed by the 617 Mechanical Arsenal was actually almost the same as the Type 80 tank in his memory from his previous life.

The biggest change is in its primary weapon.

The original 110mm smoothbore gun has been replaced with a more powerful 120mm smoothbore gun.

The 617 Mechanical Military Factory is indeed a long-established tank factory in Yan State with strong strength.

Its carefully designed and developed second-generation main battle tank program is obviously better than the 625 Mechanical Arsenal introduced on stage just now.

The result can be seen intuitively from Su Yiming’s expression.

In the competition of second-generation main battle tanks, the 625 Machinery Arsenal is slightly inferior, while the 617 Machinery Arsenal has a clear advantage.

After Mr. Zhu finished elaborating on the second-generation main battle tank program independently designed and developed by the 617 Machinery Military Factory, thunderous applause broke out in the conference room.

Especially the bigwigs of the Yan State’s military, the smiles on their faces became brighter and brighter.

Because for them, the second-generation main battle tanks produced by the 617 Mechanical Arsenal are more advanced and can even be compared with the world’s best level.

However, in Lin Chenran’s eyes, this second-generation main battle tank designed and developed by the 617 Mechanical Military Factory can only barely reach the international first-line level at most.

To be precise, it should be at the quasi-first-tier level.

There is still a certain gap from the real first-tier level.

After Mr. Zhu stepped down from the stage, everyone in the conference room’s eyes were fixed like spotlights on the representatives of the 077 Mechanical Arsenal, Lin Chenran and Song Xiyun.

Although Lin Chenran had behaved very modestly before.

They said that their 077 Mechanical Military Factory came to participate in the Yan State military’s second-generation main battle tank bidding conference with an attitude of learning.

As a result, they successfully entered the final ”finals circle”.

This made the other representatives of the mechanical military factories who were determined to win blush.

At this time, Lin Chenran and Song Xiyun in the audience exchanged glances.

Lin Chenran: ”Mr. Song, it’s your turn to come on stage and introduce the second-generation main battle tank of our 077 Machinery Military Factory.”

Song Xiyun, however, looked reluctant and retorted: ”Xiao Linzi, you are bullying me, an old man.”

”Didn’t we clearly agree before we came here that you would go up and introduce our factory’s second-generation main battle tanks?”

”Why did you suddenly change your mind?” However, at this moment, both of them realized that there were many pairs of eyes around them staring at them closely.

””this……”

”That……”

For a moment, the whole scene fell into an eerie silence, and the atmosphere instantly became awkward.

It turned out that a group of Yan State military leaders and representatives from the other two mechanical military factories were staring at Lin Chenran and Song Xiyun with a straight gaze, as if they could see through them.

This sudden attention made both of their faces blush slightly.

Just now, the two were exchanging eye contact, discussing who would go up to introduce the design and development plan of the second-generation main battle tank of their own 077 Mechanical Military Factory.

However, the attention of many bigwigs suddenly focused on them, making them a little overwhelmed.

Song Xiyun gently pushed Lin Chenran, with a hint of anxiety in his eyes.

His meaning was very clear: Go up quickly and don’t let these military leaders and colleagues wait too long.

After all, everyone is here for the design and development of the second-generation main battle tank. If it is delayed any further, it will probably leave a bad impression on people.

The trip was arranged too hastily, and Song Xiyun was no longer young. What was worse was that the road conditions along the way were extremely bad.

This series of factors made Song Xiyun feel extremely tired. His physical condition had not yet fully recovered and he simply did not have enough energy to go on stage and give his lectures.

Therefore, this arduous task can only be undertaken by Lin Chenran.

Faced with the situation before him, Lin Chenran took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down. Then he stepped steadily onto the podium, ready to introduce in detail the design and development plan of his own second-generation main battle tank to everyone present.

When Lin Chenran walked onto the podium, he first bowed deeply to the military leaders and industry seniors present, expressing his sincere gratitude.

At this time, the military leaders in the audience began to discuss in low voices.

“Is this the child of old man Lin?”

“How young!”

”As expected of an outstanding descendant of Old Man Lin, he is extraordinary.”

Lin Chenran on the podium said jokingly: ”Originally, Mr. Song was supposed to come up to introduce our 077 Machinery Military Factory’s second-generation main battle tank design and development plan. However, the road was too bumpy when we came here, causing Mr. Song to be ill, so I had to come up!”

”The design and development plan of the second-generation main battle tank of our 077 Machinery Arsenal was led by Mr. Song, and I was just a mouthpiece.”

”If you want to correct or discuss, you can find Mr. Song, don’t find me, I don’t have the ability to do that.”

After Lin Chenran finished speaking, everyone in the audience was amused.

Seeing that he had ignited the atmosphere at the scene, Lin Chenran immediately began to introduce to everyone the design and development plan of the second-generation main battle tank of his own 077 Mechanical Military Factory.

When Lin Chenran showed everyone the original drawings of the design and development plan of the second-generation main battle tank of his own 077 Mechanical Military Factory, it instantly aroused heated discussion among everyone.

”This……”

Why does the second-generation main battle tank produced by the 077 Mechanical Arsenal look so much like the Type 59 tank?

Then Lin Chenran revealed the answer: ”Are you all confused as to why the second-generation main battle tank designed and developed by our 077 Machinery Military Factory is so similar to the Type 59 tank?”

When Lin Chenran finished speaking, everyone present nodded.

”Yes, our second-generation main battle tank is a large-scale improvement based on the Type 59 tank.”

It instantly caused an uproar!!!
