Building a Technological Power Starting with the Type 59 missile and Going Astray in Technological Development

Chapter 43: Promotion and salary increase to the peak of lifeChapter 43: Promotion and salary increase to the peak of life
The scrapped and retired tanks in front of us were clearly placed into different categories.

Some tanks have rusted bodies but still retain a certain integrity;
Some are left with only incomplete parts, looking quite desolate.

In order to let Lin Chenran have a deeper understanding of these scrapped tanks.

Kovlevich decided to let Alexander arrange for the soldiers to start up several of the scrapped and retired tanks.

Alexander didn’t say much, but waved his hand to signal the soldiers beside him to get on board the tank.

Soon after, a T-54 tank made a rumbling sound, breaking the silence of the abandoned warehouse.

This huge steel behemoth seemed to come back to life and began to move slowly in the scrap warehouse.

With the driver’s skillful operation, the tank moved forward steadily at a speed of twenty kilometers per hour.

Lin Chenran witnessed this scene and a satisfied smile appeared on his face.

For him, as long as the tanks could move, that was enough.

After all, their goal is not to put these tanks back on the battlefield, but to transform them into engineering vehicles.

Therefore, power and chassis stability are the key.

”Kovlevich, Alexander, what I need are those scrapped tanks with relatively stable power.”

”Because our 077 Machinery Arsenal converts them into engineering vehicles and then sells them in the engineering vehicle market, their power systems and chassis must be kept in good condition.”

Lin Chenran’s eyes were always on the moving tank.

”You must not try to fool me with a nearly scrapped tank engine, otherwise our cooperation will end.” Lin Chenran said solemnly.

He had to make his attitude and position clear. After all, even if he sent the tank with a burst cylinder over, the 077 Mechanical Arsenal would not be able to repair it. If he really did that, it would be like buying a pile of scrap metal.

Seeing Lin Chenran’s serious face, Kovlevich immediately patted his chest and assured him solemnly: ”Lin, don’t worry, the cooperation between us is a win-win situation. As long as you are willing to believe in me, I will never let you down.”

”Even if there are problems with the engines of subsequent tanks, I have a way to get you brand new engines.”

Hearing Kovlevich’s promise, Lin Chenran felt more at ease, but he still couldn’t help asking, ”Really?”

Kovlevich nodded quickly and said firmly: ”Of course, I can guarantee it with my personality.”

At this time, Alexander on the side also expressed his opinion, saying that he would do his best to help Lin Chenran solve this problem.

Seeing that both of them were so sincere, Lin Chenran’s doubts were finally dispelled, and a satisfied smile appeared on his face, ”That’s good, then I feel relieved!”

As he said this, he winked at He Yi next to him.

He Yi instantly understood what Lin Chenran meant, and immediately pulled out a stack of US dollars from his briefcase and handed it to Lin Chenran.

Lin Chenran took the stack of US dollars and immediately walked forward to Alexander and handed it to him: ”Alexander, I’ll trouble you and your soldiers for the rest.”

”Since I have to go to several places, I don’t have time to drink vodka here with you and your soldiers.” Lin Chenran said helplessly.

”So you have to make the arrangements and let every soldier drink vodka!”

Lin Chenran knew the character of the Mao Bear people very well. They liked to drink and they liked money even more, so he used money to pave the way!
In the Russian Federation, this is not considered a ”bribery”. After all, it is treating all soldiers to vodka!
Is it against the rules to buy alcohol?
Anyway, it doesn’t count on the Russian side.

”This……”

Alexander looked at the thick stack of US dollars, his eyes flashed with gold and revealed a hint of greed.

But with Kovlevich present, he suppressed his greed.

Seeing this, Kovlevich immediately understood Lin Chenran’s actions.

He secretly sighed in his heart: ”The Chinese are really smart. They know how to quickly win people’s hearts.”

Kovlevich’s favorability towards Lin Chenran increased instantly.

”Alexander, since Guibinlin is treating all the soldiers to vodka, you should accept it!” Kovlevich said lightly.

Originally, he was thinking about how to deal with Alexander and make him work for him wholeheartedly. Now with Lin Chenran’s help, all problems were solved.

He couldn’t help but feel a little grateful towards Lin Chenran.

Alexander hesitated for a moment, but finally took the stack of bills.

He looked at the banknotes in his hand, the corners of his mouth slightly raised, revealing a satisfied smile.

Kovlevich looked at Alexander’s reaction and nodded with satisfaction.

He thought to himself: ”It seems that this Lin Chenran is quite capable. I can cooperate with him more in the future.”

Then, Kovlevich turned to look at Lin Chenran and said with a smile: ”Lin, let’s continue to visit the base.”

Lin Chenran nodded, then followed Kovlevich into the base.

After two hours of simple tour, Lin Chenran had a general idea of the place.

”Kovlevich, that’s enough, let’s go!”

Lin Chenran couldn’t wait to go to the next place.

Seeing this, Kovlevich asked Lin Chenran to wait a moment.

”Lin, I’ll arrange some work with Pressure Mountain first, and greet the officers at the next location.”

”You are free to explore here first. I will have a soldier follow you and obey your orders.”

Kovlevich saw Lin Chenran nodded and immediately started to make arrangements.

Then he took Alexander away.

Lin Chenran and He Yi began to look around at these scrapped tanks.

……

They came to a place where Lin Chenran couldn’t see them, and there were no soldiers around.

”Alexander, you must have a lot of questions in your heart, but please suppress them.”

”All you need to know is that Lin is our VIP, an international trader who can help us make a fortune together.”

”You will also profit from this long-term transaction. In the early stage, you will receive a large amount of funds continuously. In the later stage, I will transfer you to another place, so you don’t have to stay in this barren land of tanks every day.”

Kovlevich directly stated his conditions.

Kovlevich was very good at buying people off.

Not just giving Alexander a share.

He also promised to promote Alexander later.

After a series of ”promotion, salary increase and extra money earning” combinations, Alexander’s loyalty value was directly maxed out.

”General, don’t worry, I know what to do!”

”I will firmly support the general’s decision and do everything you ask me to do conscientiously.”

Alexander immediately expressed his loyalty.

Seeing this, Kovlevich smiled brightly.

If Alexander disagrees, Kovlevich has other options.

As a middle or senior military official, it is quite easy to replace a lieutenant.

Seeing that everything had been explained, Kovlevich and Alexander went back to find Lin Chenran. They were going to the next place.
