Building a Technological Power Starting with the Type 59 missile and Going Astray in Technological Development

Chapter 42: Arriving at the Barren Land of Decommissioned and Scrapped TanksChapter 42: Arriving at the Barren Land of Decommissioned and Scrapped Tanks
Kovlevich, your country’s heavy industry and military industry are so amazing! They are simply the best in the world! Even the Eagle Sauce can’t compare to them!”

Lin Chenran said excitedly. He couldn’t help but stretch out his hands and give Kovlevich a thumbs up to show his appreciation.

Kovlevich was filled with pride as he listened to Lin Chenran praising his country.

He felt that it was an immense pride to have his country recognized by someone from Yan Country.

Kovlevich was particularly happy when Lin Chenran pointed out that the Russian bear was more powerful than the American hawk.

This shows that in the eyes of the Yan people, their own country is more powerful than the United States.

Kovlevich: Even the Chinese people think that the Russians are stronger than the Americans.

For Kovlevich, this feeling was like eating the sweetest honey, making him feel very happy.

Why does Lin Chenran praise the Russian bear so crazily?

Then you don’t understand!

This is what is called language art.

There may be unexpected gains later!

Anyway, praising the Russian bear doesn’t require Lin Chenran to do anything.

Even if he goes to the Eagle Sauce at that time, Lin Chenran can say that the Eagle Sauce is stronger than the Russian Bear.

Talk about people when you see them, talk about ghosts when you see ghosts!
After hearing Lin Chenran praising the strength of the Bear Country, Kovlevich’s attitude changed dramatically.

Even more enthusiastic about Lin Chenran!

……

Two hours passed in a flash, and the Mi-26 helicopter landed at its scrapped and retired location.

Then Lin Chenran and others boarded the Mi-26 helicopter.

As soon as they sat down, Lin Chenran and He Yi began to look at the Mi-26 helicopter.

The Mi-26 helicopter is worthy of being the largest helicopter in the world.

The interior space is very spacious!

This design enables the Mi-26 to transport large amounts of supplies and personnel, providing efficient support services to the military.

”Kovlevich, the Mi-26 helicopter is really powerful! It has great power.”

This is not Lin Chenran specifically praising the Russian Mi-26 helicopter.

And the Mi-26 helicopter is indeed powerful.

Especially in the 26st century, the Mi- helicopter is also the largest helicopter.

”Lin, it has just been put into service in our Far East Fleet. It has strong power and combat capability!”

Kovlevich was also very satisfied with the Mi-26 helicopter.

The Far East Fleet cherishes it like a treasure.

There is no way around this. After all, due to production capacity issues and high prices, the Russian Far East Fleet can only be equipped with two squadrons.

Kovlevich attached great importance to Lin Chenran, a big customer, and he specially arranged a Mi-26 helicopter to carry the three of them to the place where the tanks were retired and scrapped.

Not only can it show how much you value Lin Chenran, but it can also show off your ”muscles” in front of him.

Let the other party know that his strength should not be underestimated.

Time passed quickly and two hours were gone in the blink of an eye.

The Mi-26 helicopter finally arrived at its destination - the place where the tanks were decommissioned and scrapped.

When the Mi-26 helicopter landed at the place where the tanks were decommissioned and scrapped, Lin Chenran saw a desolate scene through the window.

It looks desolate here, with weeds growing everywhere and abandoned tanks piled up like mountains, giving people a bleak feeling.

Under the command of the commander, the Mi-26 helicopter slowly landed. The huge propeller gradually stopped turning, and the fuselage stabilized. Lin Chenran felt a strong vibration, and then the cabin door opened.

The Russian soldiers acted quickly to escort Lin Chenran and others out of the cabin and ensure their safety.

Lin Chenran looked around curiously, full of anticipation for everything in front of him.

Not far from the Mi-26 helicopter, the person in charge stationed at the tank scrapping site had been waiting for a long time.

He was dressed in a neat military uniform, with a serious expression and focused eyes. When he saw Kovlevich getting off the plane, he immediately went forward to greet him.

”Sir!” The lieutenant, the head of the scrap land, saluted Kovlevich respectfully.

Kovlevich returned the greeting with an equally solemn gesture to show his respect.

……

The person in charge of the tank decommissioning and scrapping site heard the signalman report below that the Deputy Chief of Navy Staff, Kovlevich, was coming to inspect.

At first he couldn’t believe it.

I suspect this was just a prank by the signalman.

How could a major general come to this deserted and inconspicuous place where tanks were decommissioned and scrapped?
After repeated verification, he finally confirmed the fact that Kovlevich was about to come.

He couldn’t help but feel curious about Kovlevich’s sudden visit: What on earth made this senior general come to this barren land all year round?
So, the person in charge quickly left the tavern and came to the helicopter site to welcome Kovlevich’s arrival.

……

”Lieutenant Alexander, could you please take us to the warehouse where the recently scrapped and retired tanks are stored?”

Kovlevich spoke softly.

”Yes, sir, please get in the car!”

Although Alexander was puzzled, he still asked everyone to get on the jeep first.

The airport is still some distance away from the approaching point.

So they need to get in a jeep.

”Lin, let’s go!”

Including Alexander, there are exactly four people in one car. (Alexander is the driver.)
”Alexander, this is Lin from Yan Country. You will meet each other often in the future.”

Kovlevich introduced Lin Chenran to Alexander so that the two could get to know each other.

”Hello, Lieutenant Alexander!”

”Hello, Davari!”

Lin Chenran and the other person greeted each other.

Kovlevich didn’t mind having Alexander as his confidant.

After all, working with Lin Chenran requires more ”downlines”.

Kovlevich can give Alexander a better future and make a lot of money with him.

Soon, the four of them arrived at a huge warehouse in a jeep.

There are piles of tanks that have just been retired and scrapped.

”Dear Commander Kovlevich, Lin, this is the warehouse where we store our recently retired tanks in the barren land of retired tanks.”

Alexander introduced Lin Chenran and the other person.

Lin Chenran looked at the tanks piled up in front of him and showed a look of surprise.

”Wow!”

There are all kinds of tanks in it: t54, t64 t72 and so on.

”Alexander, are there any tanks here with intact chassis and power systems?”

”Because we are making civilian engineering vehicles, we only need to improve the chassis and power system.”

Lin Chenran put forward his own ideas.

But Alexander did not answer, but turned and looked at Kovlevich beside him.

Kovlevich winked and nodded.

After Alexander received the ”agree” order, he led everyone to the scrapped and retired tanks that had just been delivered.

He calmly pointed ahead and said, ”This is the decommissioned tank that was just delivered. The power system is still in good condition.”
