Building a Technological Power Starting with the Type 59 missile and Going Astray in Technological Development

Chapter 25 Announcement of Special SteelsChapter 25 Announcement of Special Steels

Eagle sauce? ”

Everyone at the scene looked at Song Xiyun with confusion.

Why did this suddenly get dragged into Eagle Sauce?!

”If we can import a 760-horsepower four-stroke V-12-cylinder V-46 diesel engine from the Russians, there is no need to import a diesel engine of the same level from the Eagles.”

Mr. Wei directly rejected Song Xiyun’s idea.

After all, the United States has always been wary of the Yan Kingdom, and importing diesel engine-related technology from them is not only expensive, but also comes with various harsh conditions.

In comparison, the Russian bear is different.

As long as the price is right and the officers and engineers are drunk at the table, everything can be negotiated.

Although Yan Country and Eagle Sauce are still in the so-called ”honeymoon” period, it has actually entered the final stage.

Especially after the tension between Yan Country and Russia is eased, the ”honeymoon period” between Yan Country and the Eagle Sauce will end ahead of schedule.

As the head of the military equipment department of Yan State, Mr. Wei is well aware of the inside information.

Since Lin Chenran proposed to obtain a 760-horsepower four-stroke V-12-cylinder V-46 diesel engine from the Russian Bear, there is no need to consider the same-level diesel engines in the United States.

Lin Chenran smiled and said, ”Mr. Wei, and all the military leaders, we bought the diesel engines from Eagle Sauce for export.”

”Saudi Arabia, the richest country in the world, uses American weapons, and one of the export versions of our second-generation main battle tanks is assembled with various American parts.”

In order to meet the various needs of customers around the world, the 077 Mechanical Military Factory has also taken great pains.

For countries with a lot of American weapons and equipment, a second-generation main battle tank is directly assembled using American parts.

For countries with a lot of Soviet weapons and equipment, they will assemble a second-generation main battle tank using Soviet parts.

Both Mr. Zhu and Su Yiming in the audience were surprised. They did not expect that the 077 Machinery Military Factory would have such a detailed market positioning and product strategy.

In this way, not only can the needs of different countries be met, but also the adaptability and competitiveness of products can be improved.

Lin Chenran once said that the 077 Mechanical Military Factory not only wanted to compete for orders from the Yan State military, but also wanted to get a share of the overseas arms sales market.

And now this statement has been confirmed.

Absolutely!
Really a must!
As expected of you! 077 Mechanical Arsenal.

It has long surpassed many other third-line mechanical military factories in Yan Country and is at a far leading level.

A number of third-tier military factories in the country have been competing for the Yan State military’s orders for second-generation main battle tanks, and have not expanded their horizons to the overseas arms sales market.

I originally thought that the 077 Mechanical Arsenal was on the same ”first level” as them.

Unexpectedly, the 077 Mechanical Military Factory had already reached the ”atmosphere”.

It has directly turned its attention to the second-generation main battle tanks in the international arms sales market.

”Our main target is still the 760-horsepower four-stroke V-12-cylinder V-46 diesel engine in the hands of the Russian bear.”

Lin Chenran agreed with Mr. Wei’s proposal and stressed that priority should be given to obtaining this powerful power ”heart” in the hands of the Russian bear.

Although Russia and the United States gave up diesel engines when developing the next generation of main battle tanks, Yan Country currently does not even have such a high-power diesel engine.

Now diesel engines are still the best choice for Yan country tanks.

Lin Chenran continued, ”In terms of tank armor, our 077 Mechanical Military Factory has made new breakthroughs.”

”We have developed our own special steel material, which is several times stronger than the special steel currently available in our country.”

”Although we haven’t entered the final testing phase yet, but...”

Everyone looked incredulous when they heard this.

The 077 Mechanical Military Factory actually produced special steel whose strength far exceeds the special steel currently available in the country?

”This……”

”hiss!”

Hearing Lin Chenran’s confident answer, the leaders present couldn’t help but take a deep breath, and a feeling of disbelief surged in their hearts. A thought emerged in their minds at the same time: Did Lin Chenran not deceive us? Does the 077 Mechanical Military Factory really have such strength?

Mr. Zhu was so excited that he was shaking. He widened his eyes and asked in disbelief, ”Director Lin, your 077 Machinery Military Factory actually developed a special steel independently? How is this possible?”

The other bosses also echoed: ”Yes, Director Lin, when can you let us see this special steel with our own eyes?”

However, Lin Chenran just smiled slightly and responded in a relaxed tone: ”Everyone is too anxious!!!”

He went on to explain: “At present, the special steel has not yet been fully formed and a series of tests and verification work is still needed.”

”So, please be patient and wait for a while.”

After hearing this, everyone had an expression of sudden enlightenment on their faces, but deep down they were still shocked by the news.

After all, they all knew what it meant to be able to develop special steel on their own.

After Wei Lao and other Yan State military leaders looked at each other, they reached a unanimous decision in their hearts.

If the 077 Mechanical Military Factory can really produce special steel, it will be stronger than the special steel currently used in the country.

That will directly affect Yan Country’s various weapons and equipment.

For example: nuclear submarines.

Then, Lin Chenran continued to introduce the design and development plan of his own second-generation main battle tank.

The second-generation main battle tank produced by the 077 Mechanical Military Factory has a very low body.

The height from the ground to the top of the turret is only 2.5m.

Armor thickness ranges from 12.5mm to 125mm.

In order to increase its protection and bullet-proof capabilities, multiple inclination angles were deliberately added to its front and sides.

Fire control system: Periscope-type micro-disturbance simple fire control system, which adopts electrical synchronization method to realize automatic synchronization between the gun axis and the aiming line, combines day and night aiming and laser ranging into one, and adds collective three-defense devices.

……

After half an hour of explanation, the military leaders of the Yan State and representatives of the other two mechanical military factories had a deeper understanding of the design and development plan of the second-generation main battle tank of the 077 Mechanical Military Factory.

These are not second-generation main battle tanks, but two-and-a-half-generation main battle tanks.

Except for the main weapons and artillery systems, which are different from the third-generation main battle tanks of the United States and the Russian Federation, the rest are almost the same.

Especially in terms of tank armor defense, the second-generation main battle tanks produced by the 077 Mechanical Arsenal are superior.

Under the same conditions, the second-generation main battle tank designed and developed by the 077 Mechanical Arsenal can destroy the enemy, and the enemy cannot penetrate its armored defense.

At this time, Mr. Zhu from the 617 Mechanical Arsenal and Su Yiming, the representative of the 625 Mechanical Arsenal, looked embarrassed.

Compared with the second-generation main battle tanks of the 077 Mechanical Military Factory, their design and development plans appear to be relatively backward.

It’s not that I’m not strong enough, but that my opponent is too strong.
