I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 495: 478: Divine Power ClassificationChapter 495: Chapter 478: Divine Power Classification

Mu Ying heard for the first time that achieving a Divine Position also required the recognition of the world’s consciousness.

In her heart, she translated it as follows: a Life Planet is like a country, and this recognition is like nationality, while the Divine Position is like a national civil servant, having the authority to manage the country.

To become a civil servant and acquire a public office, one must have the nationality of that country. Citizens born in the country naturally acquire nationality, while foreigners, that is, people from other planets, must first make contributions and acquire nationality before they can compete for civil servant positions.

But what exactly is this contribution?

Mu Ying wanted to know, so she asked.

“Any action beneficial to the planet counts as a contribution, and the best, of course, is Source Power, which is a planet’s fundamental power. That’s why the status of the Ten Thousand Worlds Trial and Trialists is so high. One could say that being a Trialist is the basic condition for achieving a Divine Position. If you are not a Trialist, at most you can reach the Legendary Rank,” Furris explained.

“So being a Trialist also has this advantage? Since I became a Trialist before anyone else, and my first Trial World was a Source Power type, isn’t that a huge advantage?” Mu Ying said, surprised.

“Yes, your current competitors are only the native players of Deep Blue Star and those underage outsiders who have immigrated. Currently, only these people have been approved by the consciousness of Deep Blue Star.

The Space Fragments that were integrated before are one of the costs paid by the Evolution Center for those underage outsiders. Even so, they still can’t compare with you native players.

And since you are ranked first on Deep Blue Star’s global level chart, you also have the protection of the Divine Ring and the full support of the Elf Clan. As long as you steadily cultivate, your Path to God is essentially smooth sailing; there’s really no need for such exhaustion,” Furris said as a matter of fact.

“...” Mu Ying touched her nose. She still couldn’t relax. Once the world blockage was lifted, there were so many gods in the outside Universe; what if someone killed her before she even ignited her Divine Fire? “You said there’s a huge difference between gods; what exactly are the tiers like?”

“There are six ranks, from lowest to highest: Weak Divine Power, Lesser Divine Power, Intermediate Divine Power, Powerful Divine Power, Great Divine Power, and Supreme Divine Power. Within each rank, there’s a huge gap, and the strength of the Laws they master determines the level of Divine Power,” Furris explained.

“Is Sage Chen Mian a Supreme Divine Power?” Mu Ying asked.

Furris shook her head: “She is the unique Great Sage, surpassing the existence of Supreme Divine Power.”

Mu Ying gasped: “What about Lord Correlon?”

“Coronet is one of the Great Divine Powers of the Multiverse,” Furris said with a face full of reverence.

“How many Supreme Divine Powers are there in the Multiverse?” Mu Ying wanted to know just how strong the Elf’s backing was.

“Each Universe only gives birth to one Supreme Divine Power, who are the creators of their universes. The Supreme Divine Power of the Multiverse, Lord Ayo, has been asleep since the Ancient Era and never awakened. The strongest active figures in the current era are several Great Divine Powers.”

Furris continued, “All the Powerful Divine Powers, Great Divine Powers, and Supreme Divine Powers in each Universe were born before the Ancient Epoch, because since the advent of the Ten Thousand Worlds Trial, it has become impossible to master Laws across planets.

The strength of the Laws confined to a single planet is limited, and the newly born gods who could achieve the level of Intermediate Divine Power are rare.”

In the Multiverse, there had been only one instance when an Intermediate Divine Power God emerged on a newly discovered life planet, and that was thousands of years ago.

Some life planets with inherently insufficient potential could, at most, give birth to Gods of Weak Divine Power.

However, Deep Blue Star was quite special. The Evolution Center predicted that there was a possibility it could sustain an Intermediate Divine Power God. “You’re currently the top local player of Deep Blue Star, so you really don’t have to worry about your future.”

Mu Ying counted on her fingers and realized that between Intermediate Divine Power and Great Divine Power was Powerful Divine Power. By the looks of it, the path to achieving more than Powerful Divine Power was essentially cut off.

If she was lucky and Deep Blue Star was powerful enough, she might have the chance to become an Intermediate Divine Power God based on the laws of Deep Blue Star. If she was unlucky, she might end up as Weak or Very Weak Divine Power.

Every ranking after godhood was a huge gap, and her limit was two or three such gaps away from her stepfather—it was quite depressing.

She didn’t think she was anything special. If no one had crossed such a class barrier in several epochs, what made her think she could? Goals need to be ambitious, but they should also be realistic.

“Forget it. I’ll just strive to become an Intermediate Divine Power God!” She dared not even think about Powerful Divine Power, let alone Great Divine Power!

Furris comforted her, “Just being able to ignite the Divine Fire and congeal the Divine Form is quite impressive. You could practically roam freely across the Universe. There aren’t many Sons of God who can truly ascend to godhood!”

Mu Ying expressed that she wasn’t really comforted. “Thinking about all these is still too far off. I am still a long way from reaching level 10!”

Furris shook her head, slightly annoyed, “You’re just twenty years old, and you’re about to reach level 10. How do you expect those of us who are three to four hundred years old and only at levels 11 or 12 to feel?”

“Sister Furris, I just don’t feel secure. I always worry that I’m not strong enough. What if one day I provoke a very powerful enemy and can’t protect myself or the things I want to protect? That would be so distressing,” Mu Ying said as she rubbed the black and white Fur Ball in her arms.

Feeling sympathetic, Furris touched her head. The little goddess must have suffered a lot alone in the past to feel so insecure. “If you’re worried about safety, you can go back to Avando after the world lockdown is lifted. It’s absolutely safe there, and there are many little elves like you.”

“What is Avando?” Mu Ying didn’t believe there was such a thing as absolute safety; she only trusted herself.

Furris looked distant, with longing and nostalgia in her eyes, “Avando is the homeland of elves, the Mother Star of Pure-blooded Elves. Seen from the stars, it looks like an emerald, unforgettable at a glance.

Avando is the planet with the richest resources in the Multiverse, hundreds of times larger than Deep Blue Star, surrounded by many subsidiary planes, and it’s the largest settlement of the Elf Clan. Most elves are born and grow up there. Once you visit, you’re bound to love it.”

Seeing Furris’ gaze, Mu Ying understood what Avando meant to her.

A planet hundreds of times bigger than Deep Blue Star—that must be enormous! Mu Ying also felt a longing for it and decided to visit once the world lockdown was lifted.

But what did this have to do with safety? “Why do you say that Avando is absolutely safe?”

Furris said proudly, “Because Avando is the Mother Star of elves, belonging only to Pure-blooded Elves. Lord Correlon’s Divine Country is guarding Avando just outside its boundary film; no one can violate Avando, so it is absolutely safe...”
